natalia woke up to the sound of her phone going off. she looked at it and seen many missed calls from mattia. she also seen a lot of texts. the memories of last nights argument came to her head and she sighed, throwing her head back on her pillow.
in the texts, mattia was telling her to call him or text him back as soon as possible, but natalia didn't want to deal with anyone's shit today. she wanted the day to herself, preferably with someone who wouldn't put even more drama or stress on her. she decided to call hector.
"hello?" hector answered. hector was currently washing his car, he didn't like having a dirty car. he always felt like the way one took care of their car is an example of how they take care of themselves.
"hey! what are you doing today?" natalia asked, biting the inside of her cheek at her nerves. she played with the hem of her shirt as she waited for a reply.
"why? you finally wanna quit blowing me off and hang out?" hector joked, laughing as he fixed his windshield wipers. natalia rolled her eyes at his comment and a smile formed on her face.
"can you meet in like a hour?" natalia asked once more, sitting up and praying hector didn't have anything going on today. she really needed to hangout with someone who wasn't part of her everyday crew.
"yeah, where?" hector asked, throwing the shammy he used to dry his car in his garage. he leaned against the wall and looked at his phone to check if natalia was still on the other line.
"the park off orange?" natalia insisted.
"yeah, yeah. see you then." hector agreed. the two said their goodbyes and natalia jumped out of bed. she walked to her closet to grab a clean towel and then went to shower. while in the shower, all she could think about was the words exchanged between her and alejandro last night.
she was stuck on what he said about the playlist. she didn't understand how he got it. it was private and the only way someone could have got it was if she sent it to them, but she sent it to no one. it was too personal for her.
after alejandro left natalias house last night, he was still angry. the whole conversation made him even more furious with mattia than he was before. he decided it would be best to confront mattia about it, so he did.

the conversation between alejandro and mattia replayed in mattias head. he basically lost his best friend over natalia, but the thing that bugged him the most is that he didn't even regret it. the only think he worried about was word getting to sierra before he could tell her himself, he wanted to tell her himself. it would only be right that she finds out from him.
after the conversation ended between alejandro and mattia, mattia tried getting in contact with natalia but she wasn't answering her phone. he wanted to know what was said between the two, especially because he wanted to be prepared for what kind of drama was going to be brought to the table if alejandro does tell sierra before mattia gets the chance.

natalia got out of her car and went to sit on a bench. surprisingly, the park was empty. she could have waited in her car but she didn't want to. it felt nice outside, which was odd because it was summer and usually feels like the devils breath ninety-nine percent of the time in california.
she dusted the bench off before sitting down and sighed. the last time she was at this park was the day alejandro turned her down for sabrina. she laughed at the memory but tears soon filled her eyes when she realized she went through all of the emotions for absolutely no reason. they weren't even together anymore, and she didn't think they would be together ever again. she wiped her eyes and let out a quiet laugh. she felt ridiculous for crying.
alejandro looked happy with katie. he's definitely more happy with katie than he was with sabrina. they were five months into their relationship, and natalia was positive they'd be together for a long time. they sure did last longer than her and alejandro did.
natalia felt someone gently cover her eyes with their hands, a smile smile tugging on her lips. she grabbed hectors hands with her own and removed them from her eyes, standing up and turning around to look at him.
"hey, gorgeous." hector smiled, taking natalia into his arms. their height difference was amazing. it was the first time natalia and hector were ever hanging out. they've never hung out before, it's always been an online friendship until now. natalia always knew they lived super close to each other, she's just never grown a pair to meet up with him. every time they would make plans, she'd lag.
"hi, uggs." natalia smiled, wrapping her arms around hector. he hugged her a tad bit tighter and then let her go, both of them sitting on the bench. natalia turned her body towards him and brought her knees to her chest.
"can't believe you didn't stand me up." hector joked, natalia playfully rolling her eyes.
"that was the old me, i'm feel like a whole brand new bitch." natalia cocked her head and smiled.
"bussin." hector laughed at her reference to the tiktok and grabbed her hand, pulling her from the bench and onto her feet.
"lets go on the swings or something, this bench is making my ass hurt." hector pulled her. while they were on the swings, they talked and caught up with one another. their smiles never left their faces. natalia was smiling so much for the first time in a long time and her cheeks were hurting her. despite the way she was feeling from last nights chain of events, she also felt a hint of happiness.
"hey let's go get like.. starbucks or something." hector suggested. "i'm thirstyyy." hector dragged out. natalia nodded and the two got off the swings and walked to hectors car. he opened the door for her and she smiled at him, getting in and putting her seatbelt on while he shut the door and walked to the other side.
hector was surprised at how well it was going. he thought it wouldn't have been this great since natalia always blew him off. he figured maybe she was super shy or she just wasn't interested, but now he didn't know what to think.
they were singing their heart out to don toliver's most recent album, both of them enjoying their time with one another. natalias hand rested on her thigh before hector took her hand in his. usually, she would get butterflies whenever someone did that to her but she didn't get them with hector.
"what do you want from here?" hector asked, looking at natalia who was staring off into space. hector lightly tugged her hand and she looked at him. "do you want anything?"
"oh, uh, yeah. let me get a vanilla bean with caramel." natalia nodded. hector nodded and waited till it was his turn to order. while ordering natalia looked at her phone and seen she had way too many texts and calls. her phone was on do not disturb so she wasn't getting them.

natalia looked at hector who was paying for their drinks. she bit the inside of her cheek before sighing.
"do you think you can take me to my friends house, it's an emergency." natalia asked. hector looked at natalia and didn't ask any questions. instead, he just nodded. the two got their drinks and natalia directed him to catherine's house.
as soon as hector got there, they both took their seatbelts off and walked into the house. natalia wondered why hector was getting down but her mind was everywhere and she didn't think it was important to ask. although she didn't want him to see whatever was about to go down, she didn't really have a choice.
as soon as natalia walked into the house, she can hear the shouting between alejandro and mattia. hector and natalia looked at each other and he gave her a concerned look. he wondered what kind of mess could he going on. natalia opened the sliding door and it went dead silent, all eyes were on her.
leslie ran a hand through her hair as she stood between the two boys. ivy looked up at natalia as her and catherine were holding onto sierra. alvaro and kairi were watching everything take place, both of them standing behind alejandro to make sure he wouldn't try to hit mattia. and then there was katie, sitting down and watching everything go down.
when they all noticed natalias presence, all hell broke loose and no one could control anything that was about to occur.
"you bitch." sierra mumbled.
