Me and my boyfriend Oscar just broke up. To think that we were together for 5 years. I found out he was messing around with my friend monse.
I lay in bed trying to think of something else. No matter how hard I tried , I couldn't stop thinking about everything that happened. I haven't seen or spoken to him since.
*Flashback*
" Hey girl", jasmine says causing me to jump. " You scared me girl, and hey", I say sitting back on my bed. " Why aren't you with Oscar", jasmine asked looking confused. " He said he was busy, but I really need to talk to him", I say turning to face her. " Go talk to him", jasmine says. " I can't just show up at the Santos house like that", I say.
"Excuses Excuses ", jasmine says standing up and grabbing my wrist. Jasmine dragged me out the door and down the street. " What if he's busy with prophet stuff", I ask hoping she understands and stops.
" He's to busy to spend time with his girl", jasmine ask knowing she's right.
We arrive at the Santos house. Just as we started walking up the the porch Cesar arrived . " Hey girls", cesar says waving. " Hey cesar",we say back continuing to walk up to the porch. " What are you guys doing here", Cesar asks. " Care to explain", I say turning to jasmine. " I'd love to, she needs to talk to Oscar, but he said he's busy. I dragged her here so she can talk to him anyways", jasmine says smirking.
" Well good luck, have you guys talked to monse today", Cesar asks looking at his phone. We shake our heads no.
"Come with us and ask Oscar since he has connects. He can have somebody find out were monse is", jasmine says finally saying something I agree with.
Me and Cesar follow jasmine up the stairs to Oscar's room. " Do you think the doors locked", jasmine asked looking at Cesar. He shakes his head no. Jasmine slams the door open and says " Oscar we need to t-", jasmine stopped mid-sentence. I couldn't believe my eyes. Oscar was in his boxers, with monse on top of him in only her panties.
Cesar starred at monse and monse jumped off Oscar and started getting dressed. " So this is what you were busy doing", I say with tears in my eyes. I quickly turned and grabbed jasmine and Cesar's hands leading them out the house.
Me and Cesar were both crying on my bed. Ruby, Olivia, Jamal, and jasmine were comforting us. " How could they do this to us", I says sniffling . I couldn't stop crying. Cesar was completely out of it. He was balling his eyes out, and we were both shaking.
* Few hours later*
We spent a couple of hours like that. We still had to face them tonight. We all were getting ready to go to the beach. Me and Cesar both decided to at least try to have fun today.
We all had already planned to go to the beach, because there's a luau going on. They said we could not and stay home , but me and Cesar didn't want to do that to everyone. So here we are sitting on a big towel together.
A cute guy asked me if I would like to dance. I turn to Cesar hoping he understands. " Go have fun, I'll be alright", he says. I asked a couple more times before I left. I noticed while me and the cute guy named Lucas were dancing, that some girl was talking to Cesar. I couldn't help but smile.
I brought Lucas back to the towel with me. I left kind of sad, but returned with a cute guy and I'm decorated in flowers. " You look nice", Cesar says. " Aww thank you, but I can't take any credit for this", I says pointing to Lucas.
I introduced him to Lucas and he introduced me to a girl named Melanie. " I love your dress", she says looking at the pattern. " Aww thank you, I like your dress to", I says "I made it", we both say at the same time . " Omg we both sew", Melanie says. Me and Melanie talked for hours. We actually have a lot in common.
Cesar and Lucas hit it off really wellq. We all brought food so we had a whole buffet over here. We talked about how all our ex's cheated on us.
We were all bonding and getting along. " Wanna go for a walk", Lucas asks. I nod and he asked Melanie and Cesar if they would like to join.
" So what idiot dumped a beautiful goddess like you", Lucas asks looking over at me. I blush and shake my head. " Me a goddess, I don't think so. My ex is a idiot through", I say laughing. " My brother is a idiot huh", Cesar says laughing with me. I ended up learning a lot about Lucas. He loves music, art, and pets.
After our walk, we all just set on the towel talking. Me and Cesar introduced them to Ruby, Jamal, Olivia, and jasmine. We showed them who our ex's were and they showed us pictures of theirs. Oscar was looking at me but I ignored him
We both avoided Oscar and monse together. I told cesar he could stay with me as long as he needed. After the beach were going to his house to get all his stuff.
" So how are you feeling champ", I ask looking up from my book. " I'm starting to feel better", he says smiling at me. I shake my head playfully,
" come on guys let's dance " Lucas says grabbing my hand. Me, Lucas, Cesar, and Melanie danced until our feet hurt.
Once we got back to the towel Oscar and monse stopped us. " Can we please talk", they ask. " Actually we'd rather not", Cesar says pulling me away from them. " Wow, running away from your problems", monse whispers under her breath. I turn around and punch the heck out of her. She fell back and lost her balance.
" Did you really just do that", monse asked holding her bloody nose. " I think I did", I say with a smirk on my face. " Please calm down", Oscar says to me. I burst out laughing. " Your telling me to calm down. You cheated on me Oscar with my now ex best friend. Everyone always talked down about you, but I always had your back. I have been loyal to you since day one", I say on the verge of tears.
" I'm sorry, but I am loyal", monse says looking at me. At this point everyone was watching. " Your about as loyal as a horny hooker", I says causing people to cheer. I hear people in the back say " whoop her a**". Lucas pulled me into his arms comforting me. I turn and Oscar let monse fall on the ground.
" It didn't mean anything to me", Oscar says making monse scoff. " It must have meant something, because you kept going back", I says. Everyone was cheering me on. " You tell him boo", some yelled. Somebody else's said "PERIODT", I couldn't help but laugh.
After that me and Cesar left. Me and Cesar both got Melanie and Lucas number. We apologized for what happened. They said it was fine and that they hoped we were okay.
We got in his car and drove to the Santos house. Once we arrived sad eye checked on us and we packed all Cesar's things. We left and went to my house. We spent the rest of our night, knee deep in ice cream.
*Flashback Over*
It's been a few months since it all went down. I'm just keeping my distance and moving on. I came downstairs and made my way to the kitchen. Cesar left me a note on the fridge.

I couldn't help but giggle at the note. I left the note on the fridge and make myself breakfast. Me and Cesar leave notes for eachother. Lately he's been checking up on me a lot, since today would have been me and Oscar's 6 year anniversary. I finish my breakfast and got ready for the day.
I got a phone call from Lucas. Me and Lucas have went on a couple of dates. I really like Lucas and we are working our way up to a relationship. Cesar and Melanie our already dating. Melanie has replace monse as my bestie and sister.
Surprisingly the gang liked Lucas and Melanie a lot. They keep asking me when me and Lucas are going to be a thing. I keep telling them that it will happen soon. Melanie is just a ray of pure sunshine. Everyone agrees that she way better then monse.
I got a message from sad eye asking if we could meet up to talk. After a couple minutes of refusing, I finally agree. We decided to meet at this cute little cafe. I arrive and see sad eye siting at a table. I sit down in front of him and we both order.
" Hey sad eye, how have you been", I asks hoping for good not bad. He smiles and says " good actually, with Cesar back in the gang it's going well". I nod and take a sip from my drink. " So how have you been since the....". He says somewhat pausing. " Since the breakup?.....I've been really happy". I say hoping he doesn't make it a big deal.
*Time Skip*
Me and sad eye spent a couple of hours talking in the cafe. I learned a lot about what's going on with the gang. He learned a lot about me and Cesar living with me. Also he told me how it's awkward when Cesar and Oscar avoid each other.
" So I hear your talking to someone", sad eye says makings face. " Yeah his name's Lucas", I says. " I know Oscar's my bro, but as long as Lucas is treating you right I support", sad eyes says.
" Aww thanks bubba", I says. " Monse and Oscar haven't spoken since what went done", sad eye says hoping for a response. I sat there quietly for a couple of minutes
" I personally am okay with it, it's their business. I'm happy with Lucas, and I have my bestie Melanie. Me and Cesar live together and we are still very close. I'm over it and I wish them both the best", I says smiling.
"Let me walk you home", sad eye asks. I nod and we continue to walk down the street. " So when are you going to speak to monse or Oscar again", he asked playfully pushing my shoulder. " I'm not really sure; probably never, I don't know if I can handle seeing their faces again", I say sighing. " That's understandable", sad eye says.
We continue to walk until we arrived at the Santos house. As soon as we stopped in front of the house, there stood Oscar. Oscar started walking to us. " Thanks for the talk ", I say to sad eye. " No problem", he says giving me a hug. I turn and start to leave as quickly as I can. Oscar grabbed my wrist turning me around.
He looked me in the eyes and I could tell he was truly hurting. I push his hands off of me. " Please don't touch me", I say looking at the ground. " Can we at least talk", he asks. i shake my head. " There's nothing to talk about Oscar. Please just leave me alone", I say quickly turning to leave.
" So we're really done, after 5 years", Oscar says making me stop. " Yes Oscar were really over. You brought this upon yourself. I'm not the one who cheated am I. Go be happy with her, because obviously I wasn't enough. Also I'm seeing someone, who treats me like the queen I am, and I'm happy with him. ", I say and continue to head home
Once I get home I get comfortable. Cesar came home a little later and flopped down beside me. We told each other about our day. " I'm so lucky to have met Melanie", Cesar says with the biggest smile on his face. He never smiled like that when he was with monse. " And I'm so lucky to have met lucas", I say. We spent the rest of the day relaxing. Lucas and Melanie came over for dinner. After dinner we all watched a movie until we fell asleep.
