There was a boy
That once lived right across my window
Lost and dreamy
Only saw him in blackness
Of the night.
Something about him
Always enticed me to my window
Like aurora on winter solstice.
I only see him when
The sun goes out.
Was curious to know
Where he would hideaway
During the day.
Time went by
And I couldn't stop imagining
How will it be
To not live so far away
To see the color of his eyes
Maybe know the name
They call him.
Some nights I follow him
Trying to get closer
To relish this fantasy;
I always wondered
How it would feel
To be held and to call him mine.
My friends say,
I will only burn myself
If I ever let him near me.
Only if I could stay
Like the little freckle on his cheek.
Many profess their love
To the moon
I can't help but
Fall for him more.
Somedays I look at him
Make a wish
For our paths to cross.
The infinities I thought
Were never possible
I wish to live them with him.
But he was just a star
In a constellation
Too far to reach.
