CHAPTER NINETEEN
It was the first day back at school since what happened and it felt like the actual day back at school, Sooyoung still having that same anxious feeling in her.
She knew most of the people in the friend group had tried to go see her at the hospital, only the sirens amongst them were let in since any other beings would've triggered Yves.
Jaehyun hadn't seen her since she was admitted to the hospital, since they weren't allowed at all to visit.
She dressed in tight black jeans and a black crop top, Ten dressing her in this so that it shows off her transformation as he likes to call it.
She looked like Seoyun to be completely honest.
Her longer hair and curvier body matching identical to hers, Sooyoung was always much more lean and model esk built while Seoyun was more of a goddess built.
And Yet, the look in their eyes set them apart, Seoyun always had something going on in her head that was masked over with a soft look while Sooyoung let her emotions be evident, crystal clear to the beholder that looks right into them.
Seoyun walked into to school, just to engulfed in a big hug.
"Ah~ Girl I've missed you!" Jinsoul said as they pulled away from the hug
"Me too, and i see that you didn't change just the color of your hair while I was gone huh?" Sooyoung said as her eyes motioned to girl's new bangs that framed her face flawlessly
"I wasn't the only one that changed, you look even more hot! The way I'd kill to be reborn as a siren" Jinsoul said as they linked arms, walking towards their first class
Sooyoung could feel all stares to her, it was worse than usual and it seemed like this was her new reality that she had to get used to from now on.
"Anyways, where's Ten? He's always with you in the mornings" Jinsoul said
"My mom dropped me off today since Ten had to run some errands in the city with my Brother" Sooyoung shrugged as they walked into the classroom
"Look who finally decided to wake up" Taeyong said teasingly as they walked over to his shared desk with Yuta
Sooyoung only rolled her eyes playfully at him and bowed to them greetingly.
"I see that you merged nicely with your siren, I hope I merge like that with mine" Yuta said joking frowning at the thought as Sooyoung patted his head
"You will" Yuta smiled at her
"How are you doing with your pull? Have you been able to control it?" Yuta asked, and Sooyoung just shrugged
"I don't have much of a pull right now since my siren isn't speaking to me at all, I'm just drawing a little bit more attention than before" Sooyoung said as Yuta nodded his head understandingly
She turned her head to the two desk that her and Jaehyun would share, and wondered if he was gonna show up any minute now.
"You looking for Jaehyun?" Jisun said as Sooyoung nodded, still looking over at his desk
"I'm not sure he'll show up today, he hasn't been coming to school lately" Taeyong said as he had a hint of worry in his tone
"What do you mean he hasn't been at school? That's not like him at all" Sooyoung said softly, as Taeyong shrugged
"He's been hanging around Soojin lately again, maybe that's why"Jinsoul said rolling her eyes mentioning the girl's name
"Soojin?" Sooyoung thought to herself as the last bell rung and the teacher had walked in
She sat alone in her desk for the remainder of the class and for almost the entire day she hadn't seen Jaehyun anywhere.
It wasn't until she had to go to Gym.
Today two classes were merged with the addition of the soccer team and you can guess who miraculously showed up there.
Today the school was starting combat training, the shifters with their kind in a group, the witches and warlocks, and demons were in groups aswell.
Sooyoung was in a group with the rest of the sirens, All of them just chilling amongst each other since there was a rule that we siren's can't hurt each other.
A siren using their powers on another siren means certain death for both of them, there true forms coming out and won't stop fighting until one of the host's siren is fully consumed.
(Host- is the mortal body that a siren possesses)
Even the host don't know the capability of their own true form, so they rather not risk hurting one of their own.
That's why the siren's population is flourishing, they live in harmony, fearing the unknown of their own true selves.
But never the less, siren's are very strong beings and most of their powers are used within their minds like illusion and aura manipulation, enhanced persuasion, shapeshifting, and telekinesis.
Most siren elders have the ability to water bend, since it does keep a key point in a siren's life and health.
Sooyoung spotted Jaehyun in his group, with Soojin by his side, His arms were around her waist as he hugged her from behind.
Yet he looked very gloomy, his eyes and hair were darker than usual, and his skin was paler, almost grey.
The vacant look in his eyes was alarming especially when they locked with Sooyoung's across the field.
The small flower marking on her wrist had ached, and Sooyoung bit her lip, holding back a pained groan.
"You okay?" Yuta asked as she nodded her head and glanced back again at Jaehyun, who was nowhere to be seen.
She pushed the thought of him in the back of her head, and tried to keep her focus on something else.
Her siren was starting to wake up, and the same drowning feeling started up again, Sooyoung clutching onto the fabric of her chest, grimacing lightly.
"Jaehyun! Go to him" Yves cried out, making Sooyoung's ear pop and the pain on her wrist intensified
She looked down and seen that the flower on her wrist was bleeding from the outlines.
She stared down at it in horror, tears rolling down her face as she looked around and still didn't see Jaehyun, or even Soojin anywhere.
"Sooyoung, whats happening?!" Haechan said worried as him and Yuta shielded her from anyone seeing what was happening to her
They knew if a big deal was made, Sooyoung and her siren would get even more distress.
"I don't know, I think I just need a tissue or something" Sooyoung said as she stood up and pulled down her sleeve to cover up the blood, thank fully her shirt was black so the blood soaked fabric wasn't noticeable.
"Let Haechan take you to the nurse, I'll tell coach that you weren't feeling well" Yuta said as She nodded and held onto Haechan's arm for stability after feeling a wave of dizziness hit her
"Where's Sooyoung? Is she okay?" Taeyong asked as he went up to Yuta right after she left with Haechan
"She's okay, She just felt light headed, that's all" Yuta said as Taeyong nodded his head understandingly, and went back to his group
They went up to the nurses office, and the nurse cleaned up the blood, Sooyoung insisting that she'd bandage herself up alone, not wanting the nurse to ask more questions and end up calling her parents.
"You can't do it alone, I'll do it" Haechan said taking the bandages from her hand
"Thank you" Sooyoung said softly as he nodded his head and started to dress her wrist
"Was it Jaehyun?"
"What?"
"The one that gave you this" Haechan said as his thumb grazed of it softly, looking up at her while she just looked down at it and nodded her head
"I know that you're upset that he's back with Soojin" Haechan said as she looked up at him and was about to deny it
"You don't have to lie to me, and besides, I would too. Even though Soojin is a good friend, she doesn't deserve him, and he made it clear that he didn't love her anymore, so it's a little weird seeing him like this"
"He made his own choice and I guess I was some sort of passing time for him, that's all" Sooyoung said quietly as she looked at her wrist
"It's not my place to question his or soojin's choices but this doesn't seem right and I know it doesn't look right to you at all either"
"It's weird that he was all about you and then the next day he's back with an ex that he hates with every bone in his body"
"What are you insinuating?" Sooyoung asked as he looked up at her
"I'm saying that maybe Jaehyun was bewitched"
