Before the official scene for this world begins, the scene starts off showing a couple of warriors running to save a girl from robots. Among them was a boy who looked similar to Riku, but had a different flannel pattern on his black leather jacket, a left right eye, and in his right hand was a laser crossbow, and his left held a cyber-like sword with an orange energy blade. This was Yozora.
The scene then changes to show a TV playing it as a trailer for a video game called "Verum Rex." The tv then shuts off and it's shown to be a bedroom with toys moving around.
Rex: I was watching that.
Woody: ah, sorry. But this is no time for television, Rex.
Hamm: gotta say, that Gigas is pretty impressive.
Rex: really? I like Yozora most.
Woody then notices Heartless were spawning in the room. He quickly pushes Hamm and Rex away to avoid being seen.
Hamm: Woody? What gives?
Woody: sh.
Buzz: (lands beside them) are they back?
Woody: shhhhhhh!
The four toys then carefully crawled over to see the Heartless fully spawn in. They didn't notice the toys, but just looked around for a bit.
Woody: all right guys. Today we teach those masked intruders who's boss. (Looks at the others) is everybody in position?
Rex: wait. Hold on! I don't think I'm emotionally prepared!
Hamm: would you calm down? Don't worry. I got ya covered.
Woody then looks over across the room to see a couple or army soldiers giving him a salute that they're ready. On another shelf next to them was three green aliens in blue suites and three eyes waving at him. Woody salutes at them and turns to Buzz.
Buzz: it's go time.
Unknown to all of them, the gang had arrived and were walking out underneath the bed.
Sora: what in the world? Where are we?
Arcturus: from the looks of this massive desk, I'd say we're in a bedroom.
Sora: (realizes their size) oh my gosh! Have we been shrunk!? (Notices his body) and...and look at us!
The whole gang had been turned into toys. Now they were mostly in black with a checkered pattern and more blocky than before.
Arcturus: we're toys!
Donald: you know what the magic is for. We have to protect the world order!
Clara: knowing us, that'll be harder.
Goofy: (sees Heartless) gawrsh! We got trouble.
Sora and Donald: Heartless!
Arcturus: (all summon weapons) time to get to work. (All run towards them)
Woody: okay. We go on three. One, two...
Buzz: (notices the gang and stops the others with his wings) wait!
Woody: what are you doing?! (Sees the gang) who are those guys?
The team works fast to get rid of the heartless. It takes a couple of wave, but they soon got rid of them, and the toys decided to make their presence known.
Hamm: are they new? (Gang turns to face them)
Rex: (rushes ahead) wait! Ah— Ah— you look familiar! I know this. (Goes up to Sora) You're, uh, you're, uhhh...
Hamm: (joins him) Yozora!
Arcturus: Yozora?
Sora: huh? My name's Sora.
They then notice a laser pointer on Sora and they look up to see Buzz aiming at him.
Buzz: stay back! For all we know, the intruders sent them.
Arcturus: (sarcastic) yes, we work with them. No we don't'! Why would they attack us if they sent us?
Rex: (grabs Sora) Yozora!
Woody: slow down there, Rex. We don't know them.
Rex: (lets go of Sora) but we can trust them. They're the number-one-selling heroes in the country!
Hamm: yeah, Andy's mom must've bought 'em for him.
Rex: Hamm's right. Did you see how easily they took care of the intruders? I bet they're here to figure out why all our friends have gone missing, and why Buzz's laser started actually laser-ing...and all the weird stuff that's been going on. I mean, that's what heroes do, right?
Buzz: (still uncertain) let's not jump to conclusions.
Woody: (thinks for a bit) hmm...
Buzz: gotta be smart, Woody.
Woody then decides to get to know the gang for a bit and see if they could help.
Woody: so, you're...Andy's new toys?
Arcturus: (plays the role) something like that.
Woody: you sure did a number on those intruders.
Goofy: those are the Heartless.
Donald: the bad guys!
Arcturus: no good comes from them.
Sora: we've been fighting against those "intruders" for a while.
Rex: I knew it!
Hamm: (chuckles)
Woody: (thinks for a bit) okay. In that case, you're all right by me. My name's Woody. (Offers hand) put 'er there.
Sora: (accepts hand) hey.
Buzz: (walks over) now hold on.
Sora: I'm Sora—
Rex: Yozora!
Sora: actually, my name's "Sora"...
Arcturus: yeah, we don't know any "Yozora". I'm Arcturus, but you can call me Arc for short.
Donald: and I'm Donald.
Goofy: I'm Goofy.
Buzz: and I'm...Buzz Lightyear.
Hamm: call me Hamm. It's a real honor.
Rex: and I'm Rex! I'm your biggest fan. In fact, I've been playing your game for months now.
Arcturus: (smiles) really? Cool, how far are you?
Rex: I've gotten all the way up to LV 47. But that Bahamas boss is really tough. Slinky and I can't figure out how to beat him. Oh, I wish Slinky and the others were here. They'd be so happy to meet you!
The other toys then made their introductions, but Buzz was still suspicious about them. He walks up to Sora to question him.
Buzz: excuse me. You said that you've battled those intruders before. Tell us where and why.
Arcturus: short answer; out of town and they're just crazy assholes causing mayhem that needs to be stopped.
Donald: order!
Arcturus: calm down!
Buzz: what are you talking about?
Woody: take it easy, Buzz. What matters is that they got those intruders out of our way—for at least a little while. No need to interrogate 'em.
Rex: yeah, Buzz.
Hamm: Woody's right.
Buzz: noted. But still...
Arcturus: (remembers earlier) oh, right! You mentioned that your friends went missing. What exactly happened?
Sora: and have the Heartless been a problem around here?
Woody: no, they just showed up a little while ago.
Buzz: in fact, those "Heartless" materialized...right after all of our friends up and vanished.
Arcturus's Thoughts: their friends vanishing? Other strange stuff happening? It's just like Detroit all over again. I remember Azrael somehow caused their friends to get separated by creating a parallel world, so could this be... (eyes widen slightly) could this maybe the first time they actually tried something like that to a world!? If so, then it's going to get worse and worse.
Donald: (turns to Goofy) you don't think...
Goofy: (catches on) well, gee. It can't just be a coincidence.
Woody: it wasn't always this lonely. (Walks over to a block to sit down) one day we woke up, and we were the only toys left here. Nobody's heard from Mo, Molly, or Andy... (looks at his right boot with Andy written underneath) we keep waiting for Andy to come home.
Sora: you really care about him, don't ya?
Woody: (stands up and walks back over) yeah... He's the best friend that toys like us could ever hope to have.
Sora: (claps his hands together) all right. We'd better start looking!
Woody: huh?
Arcturus: I've dealt with something similar like this before. Was there anything else out of the ordinary? Strange places? Things not appearing as they should be? People you've never met before?
Woody: well. Hmm... There's one thing.
Hamm: one big thing.
Sarge: huge, sir.
Rex: what thing?
Buzz: after everyone went MIA, the intruders didn't come alone. They arrived with a guy wearing a hood, dressed in black, just like you. As a matter of fact, he's the only other toy we've seen, outside of you three.
Sora: a black hood? (Realizes it) but that would mean...
Donald and Goofy: the Organization!
Arcturus: I knew they were behind this!
Woody: you know who it is?
Sora: yeah. They're bad news.
Buzz: seems like you have a lot of enemies.
Arcturus: you have no idea. (Beat) well, we have an idea on who up to this. So, we'll handle this.
Woody: I'm sorry. But we're not gonna leave this to you.
Sora and Arcturus: huh?
Woody: if that guy had something to do with our friends vanishing, then he's our problem too. (Offers a hand) we've got to work together.
Seeing that they won't back down from this, Sora smiles and accepts the handshake. The others nod in agreement as the shake breaks.
Sora: so then, where can we find that guy?
Woody: (crouches down to Sarge) Sarge, any word from the recon team?
Sarge: the latest reports place him in town, sir. (Points to poster on wall) at Galaxy Toys!
Woody: then Galaxy Toys is where we're going. (Turns to Sora) Sora. Follow me. It's out the window and down the roof.
Buzz: not so fast, cowboy. You seem pretty gung ho about going, but shouldn't we stay here and wait for Andy?
Woody: (crosses arms) well... You've got a point, but...we've tried waiting. Look, if we go with Sora and Arc, we might find a clue. Are you with me, Buzz?
Buzz: (pauses for a moment then smirks and walks over) of course. Okay, let's move out!
They then explored the bed room and found a couple of emblems. They also explored a bit of the house and fought some Heartless before going out to the street. Unfortunately, with their small size, getting to Galaxy Toys would take a day or two. Luckily, Arc grabbed everyone and went at super speed straight to the store.
They arrived to the store and everyone was surprise on how gianormus everything was. As they walked, they saw other toys, but they weren't moving.
Sora: (looks at the Gigas) hey, why doesn't that toy move?
Woody: I guess it hasn't figured it out.
Sora: figured what out?
???: I can make it move for you.
They look up and saw Young Xehanort on top of a UFO.
Sora: (recognizes him) you're form the dream—the first of the Xehanorts!
Young Xehanort: I'm so honored you remember me. (Turns to Arc) and it's a pleasure to meet you at last, Mr. Farron. Cronos has told much about you.
New snaps his fingers and summons Heartless. They then crawled into the Gigases and they then took control.
Woody: oh no! He can move!
Hamm: way cool.
The Gigas goes to punch Hamm, but the heroes blocked it and it give Woody enough time to get him away.
Arcturus: it's not so cool if they punch you!
Young Xehanort: one heart's shadows fill the emptiness of another. See how they bring him to life? Like Heartless and Nobodies, they fit together.
Sora: (grunts) enough. Why are you doing this?!
Arcturus: what do you want?!
Young Xehanort: there's a darkness we are missing and must reclaim. The way hearts connect in this world can provide us with a clue. So, like on what Azrael did to Detroit, we made a copy of the world and then pulled those hearts apart. I wonder how you'll handle the strain. (Opens a corridor)
Sora: wait! What does that mean!?
Young Xehanort: (smirks) don't let me down.
He exits and the Gigas pushes them back. Woody catches Sora and Arc while Buzz caught Donald and Goofy. The tiger toys took cover.
Buzz: Woody! What's going on? Is this toy a friend...or foe?
Woody: I think we got our answer.
Form it's cannon arm, it begins to fire lasers and and everyone takes cover.
Donald: Sora! Arc! You're up!
Goofy: yeah! If the Heartless know how to do it, there's no reason you can't.
Sora: do what?
They then point to a couple of Gigases and the boys get the same idea.
Sora: brilliant! We're on it!
They both run and jump inside them. They then took control and could fight fire with fire.
Arcturus: awesome! This is like Titan Fall!
Clara: careful though, boys. These things have a limit on how much damage they take before they break down.
Sora: then let's do this quick.
While the others attack the small minor Heartless, the boys went full out with the robots. After a little while, they destroyed them and exit the robots.
Arcturus: nice!
Sora: that was fun!
Buzz: (walks to the empty Gigas) he was being controlled? He wasn't just switched into battle mode by accident?
Sora: (concern) Buzz?
Arcturus: you ok?
Buzz: (turns away) it's nothing.
Woody: I'm confused. That guy in the black coat—did he say he made a copy of the real world? What's that mean?
Sora: it...probably means they split this world in two—your friends in one world, us in the other. Only one of the worlds is real, and the other is just really convincing.
Buzz: you can't be serious. (Sarcastic) oh! That's right, you're from a video game. Well, maybe in your game, that's how things work...but here in reality, you can't "split worlds." This is ridiculous. (Walks past Woody) Woody, let's go.
Woody: I admit, it does sound just a little far-fetched. But...say we have been taken to some kind of alternate world. That would explain why your laser's real. (Walks over to Buzz) and is it really that crazy? Worse than "evil emperors" and "protecting the galaxy"? Any of that ring a bell?
Buzz: (clears his throat) point taken. But that just means these strangers are part of the delusion. And I say it's time we parted ways and went home.
Goofy: (sad) thought we were friends, not strangers.
Sora: look, I get that it seems weird, but we know something's wrong with this place.
Arcturus: it explains why there's no signs of any other humans. (All look at him) there weren't any cars moving when we came here, and the building was left open. (They nod in understanding)
Sora: Arc's right. Either way, we should stick together.
Woody: they're right. They helped with the intruders, so they might help find our friends. (Buzz turns and walks away) they have been there for us so far. You can't deny that. (Buzz stops) come on. Every toy deserves a fair shake. Am I right?
Buzz: (turns and points to Gigas) tell it to that toy over there.
Woody couldn't help but look in sadness, but then heard Sarge from up above with his troops.
Sarge: sheriff, sir! Rex has just been dino-napped.
Woody: what's that?
Sarge: my men saw him get hauled up to the second fools, sir! And Hamm and the aliens are MIA.
Clara: hold on. (Scans the area) Rex is in the action figure shop, Hamm's trapped in the girl's doll store on the third floor, and the aliens are in a little kid's play area.
Woody: come on. We have got to find them! (Runs)
Sora: please, let us help.
Donald and Goofy: yeah!
Woody: (smiles but stops when he sees Buzz)(runs over to him) well, Buzz? Do you really think we can save our friends on our own? We didn't get very far before. We gotta take all the help we can get.
Goofy: don't worry. Sora can be reckless, Arc's a little odd, and Donald grumbles a lot. But you can trust 'em!
Donald: hey! He suspects you, too!
Sora: it's true.
Goofy: huh? He does?
Clara: he's definitely not the smartest.
Arcturus: (chuckles) nope. But he's definitely a good friend.
Woody: see, they don't seem bad. Am I right, Buzz?
Buzz: ok, fine. We do need the extra help. (Walks to the gang) but just so we're clear; I remain skeptical about this. I'll work with you till we find our friends.
Arcturus: fair enough.
Woody: thanks for the help Sora, Arc, Donald, Goofy.
Sarge: my troops will return to the field, sir! (All salute and exit)
Buzz: (looks at prize machine and activates wings) this ascent is gonna be rather tricky.
Woody: (smirks) too bad we're not strapped to a rocket, huh? (Buzz retracts wings)
Sora: (sees railings on top of the machine) hey! Think we can use that?
Woody: it's perfect! C'mon guys!
And so the team made their way up. They first found Rex in a store where Heartless weren't just possessing Gigas, but also vehicles and dragons. They took care of them and after helping Rex, they agreed that he should head back to the entrance and be a look out. The gang was making their way through the vents and arrived to where Hamm was.
Woody: (sees the store) this is Babies and Toddlers. Where do you guys think we should start?
Goofy: (crouches down to Sarge) Sarge, didn't you mention music?
Sarge: affirmative, Goofy.
Arcturus: well, (eyes glow blue and scans) from the looks of things, the main thing that music would come from is that frog orchestra on the other side of the store.
Sora: then let's check it out.
Goofy: sure.
Donald: (to Sora) that's good thinking for you. (Laughs and walks away)
Sora: wha... What do you mean for me? (Donald runs) hey, where ya—
He then chases Donald around and Woody and Buzz continue to conversate.
Woody: I think they really are good guys.
Buzz: we'll, you wouldn't have trusted them otherwise. And I know that your trust is a hard-earned treasure.
Woody: (smiles)
Buzz: well...for all our sakes, let's hope you're right, cowboy. I'm willing to give 'em a chance at least for a little while longer. Especially if it means getting Andy and our friends back.
Woody: agreed.
They fought a couple of Heartless and found the orchestra. Sora and Woody then start running on the record player and they heard the frogs playing. Among them, however, they heard a tune that was off.
Buzz: (turns to Donald) wait, did that sound off to you?
Donald: it did.
Goofy: Sora! There's some kinda strange noise comin' from the orchestra!
Sora: got it! We'll keep the record playing!
Arcturus: where's it coming from?
Clara: (notices the blue frog) I'm guessing the one playing the tuba and having a seizure.
They took a closer look and found that something was in the tuba. With a little force, they pulled out one of Sarge's men. He informed them that he found Hamm, but while they were regrouping, something grabbed him and threw him in the tuba. While Sarge took his soldier away, Arc scanned the area again and found a life signal in a doll hose by the window.
With some force, they got it opened and found Hamm.
Hamm: talk about cabin fever. Thanks for the save.
Woody: you okay, Hamm?
Hamm: yeah, aside for being locked in, the accommodations were fine.
Donald: (looks inside) aww. What a tiny little house.
Clara: Arc. I'm picking up a strong darkness right next to us.
As she said that, they see a doll in a maid's uniform with blue hair, rabbit ears and orange eyes float to them.
Hamm: she's back! That's the doll that pig-penned me!
Woody: Hamm, take cover.
Hamm: uh, copy that. One stay in the dread-and-breakfast was enough for me! (Exits)
Buzz: not another possessed toy...
Sora: (summons Keyblade) guys, look alive!
Arcturus: (summons Keyblade) I hate possessed dolls. Especially the ones that look normal but are pure evil!
More Heartless were spawned and they attacked. After a bit of fighting it, they got the possessed out and the doll's eyes went back to aquamarine before collapsing. The others went to the window, but Buzz stops to look at the doll.
Buzz: wait... What if we end up just like her? Forgetting ourselves and...attacking each other?
Sora: no way, Buzz. That won't happen...
Donald: no way!
Goofy: you guys are too strong.
Buzz: you can't be sure! What if I get taken over, then attack you?
Woody: (places hand on left shoulder) Buzz, you're overthinking it.
Arcturus: I understand how you feel. (Beat) I mentioned that I've seen this before. At that time, a friend of mine named Connor was possessed by something as bad, if not worse, then the Heartless. But, his heart's bond with his friends and family was strong enough to break him free. So, if he can do it, then you guys can too.
Sora: yeah. The Heartless—the darkness—can only creep in when our hearts falter. Trust us. You'll be fine if you don't lose heart.
Woody: well, that's good. Because I know you, Buzz. You'll never lose heart when it comes to your friends.
Buzz: (smiles) true enough, cowboy. Sorry to have worried you all.
Woody: no problem. Now, let's go find the others.
They leave the store and sent Hamm back to the entrance. They then see a UFO heading towards the kid's play area. There, the three aliens saw it, and mistook it for a portal and got grabbed by the claw. With the help of a couple of Gigases, the gang got the UFO down and the aliens were saved
Aliens: we are back!
Alien 1: our ship is no more.
Alien 2: Nirvana will not be reached.
Sora: (picks one up) sorry I trashed your ride.
Alien 3: fear not.
Alien 1: we still have our new home.
All three: the Chamber of Andy.
Buzz: they're right. (Walks away a bit)This isn't where we belong. We've been in this toy store long enough. (Stops) it's time for us to go home to Andy's room.
Sora: but...Xehanort told us that room isn't even his real room.
Buzz: (turns to face them) can you prove that any of that nonsense is true? And even if that Andy's room is fake, it doesn't mean he's not somewhere in this world with us.
Arcturus: (has enough) haven't you been listening to what I said earlier!? There's no other humans here, your laser's real, not to mention I can run faster than the speed of sound. If this was the real world, do you really think any of this crap would be possible!?!
Everyone was surprised at his outburst. Arc then calms down and regains his calm composure.
Buzz: still, I'm going home to wait for him. No more debate. You with me Woody?
Woody: you're right, Buzz. Now that we're all accounted for, we should meet up at the entrance and go home.
Arcturus: we understand.
Sora: yeah. We could have used friends like you for the final showdown...
Goofy: but Organization XIII's our problem to solve.
Donald: yeah, I can take 'em!
Sora: (crosses arms behind his head) I'm not so sure about that...
Arcturus: yeah, with the way you don't heal sometimes, that could be a problem. (Goofy laughs)
Donald: I'll show ya! (Chases them a bit and Woody and Buzz smile)
Sora: guys, can we see you off?
Woody: that would be great.
They arrived back at the entrance to meet up with the others, but Rex wasn't there. Hamm then informed them that he went to the video game store to prove to Buzz that the gang is on their side. They arrive to see Rex on top of a display case with multiple copies of "Verum Rex" and "Verum Rex: Deluxe Edition." He sees them, and jumps down while holding one of the copies.
Rex (runs over to Sora and shows the game) look! I found it! See, Sora?
Arcturus: (sees the cover) this is Yozora?
Sora: well, I never look this good. The clothes kinda match.
Buzz and Woody walked over to the other side of a wallpaper and saw a picture of Yozora sitting.
Woody: whaddaya know! They are video game figures. (Turns to Buzz) see? I told ya, Buzz. They're toys, just like the rest of us.
Buzz: we'll, I suppose.
Sora: Donald, I though your magic decided how I look. Explain.
Donald: simple. That's not you.
Arcturus: yeah. He looks more like Riku's long lost twin.
Goofy: say, Riku would make a great action figure!
Donald: Arc's right. Must be him.
Sora: no! It's me. I've got the black clothes and, uh...
Donald: so what?
Arcturus looks at the picture again, and couldn't help but get an odd feeling off it. He couldn't explain it, but he felt that there was more to this "Yozora" then meets the eye.
Buzz: alright, everyone. Now that we're back together, it's time to return to Andy's room.
Rex: (holding a magazine) now? But can't I at least check the strategy guides? I want to know how to beat Bahamut!
Buzz: (puts magazine away) next time. Right now, we need to go home.
However, before they could leave, Young Xehanort appeared to stop them.
Young Xehanort: oh, but you needn't rush off.
Sora: (summons Keyblade) Xehanort! (Others summon their weapons)
Young Xehanort: I have more to observe. I can't let you leave yet.
Arcturus: too bad. We're done with your games.
Sora: it's us that you really want. Leave the others out of this.
Young Xehanort: (smirks) you would say that, champions of light. Very well, let's skip to the final stage. You've seen this before, Speedster, so you know what comes next.
The heartless quietly goes behind Buzz, and enters him. Buzz closes his eyes and wisps of dark power start radiating off him.
Rex: Buzz, what's the matter?
Instead of answering, Buzz opens his eyes and aims his laser right at Woody's head.
Woody: c'mon, Buzz. Quite fooling around. (Buzz fires)
Goofy: (jumps in front with shield) look out!
Woody: (realizes what happened) I can't believe it! Buzz has been taken over?
Buzz keeps firing and the others look surprised.
Sora: (angered) what did you do to him!?
Arcturus: he's being controlled! This happened to Connor!
The two rush in, but even with Arc's speed, the villain teleported away.
Young Xehanort: I thought I made it clear. I am testing the strength of their bonds. (Teleported) in this world, toys have hearts. (Teleports) and those hearts come from a powerful bond. So what happens when those bonds are stretched to their limit? When they are worlds apart, can cloth and plastic hold on to their hearts? (Teleports) all I needed was a wedge to widen the divide— (teleports a few times while speaking) someone like you to fill them with distrust and doubt. And that chasm you created can be filled with a vast of darkness. (Teleports) witness it for yourself.
Donald: (holding Buzz back) Sora! Arc!
Rex: do somethiiing!
Arcturus: Buzz stop!
He runs to help, but Young Xehanort teleports right in front of him, and hits Arc with enough force to send him back to Sora.
Young Xehanort: not this time!
He fires and dark ball of energy at them and sends the two into a game display. On the other side, the two find themselves in a plant of some kind with two Gigases next to them.
Arcturus: what the hell?
Sora: where are we?
Young Xehanort's Voice: haven't you heard? In this world, you come from a video game. So now, you can watch my experiment from inside that screen. That is...if you manage to find a moment's rest.
Arcturus: Clara?
He's not joking about us being trapped here. But, it's like the Dreamscape from before. If we play the game and clear the boss, it'll get us a window out of here.
Sora: then let's play. Buzz, Woody, hang on!
Author's note: this world was a bigger importance then we thought. According to the director behind KH, KH3 wouldn't be possible without Toy Story. At first, I didn't know why, but after playing the Secret Episode, I understand why.
Not entirely sure how I'll portray Yozora in this universe, but it will be slightly different from the original.
I think the time setting for this world takes place after Toy Story 2 because of the aliens being with them.
For Arc's toy appearance, think of it like Sora's, but replace the black with navy blue, his pants cover his ankles, and his scarf is blocky as well.
