64: "What happened back there?"
As I was walking out of the club Sandra kept following me.
"Y/n wait! What happened back there?" She asked as soon as I stopped and looked back at her. I simply shrugged not trusting my own voice.
She sighed before looking back at the club before talking to me again.
"Just let me get her sobered up and I'll have her come talk to you and straighten everything out okay? Just hear her out."
I nodded just to get her to leave me alone. She turned and jogged back into the club as I got into car and drove home. Once I got home I dropped my purse on the floor and pushed the door not even bothering to lock it. I slowly walked upstairs to the bedroom Sarah and I shared, my heart breaking at the memories that we created there. They were all a lie. She didn't really love me. How could someone ever love such a disaster like me?
I laid down in the middle of the bed and just stared at the ceiling as tears flowed down my face freely.
~the following day~
Sarah
I woke up slightly groaning. I opened my eyes and looked around noticing I was at Sandy's house. I was confused on why I was here and not at home with y/n. I sat up slowly and as I was getting out of the bed Sandy, Cate and Anne barged through the door startling me a little bit.
"Great you're up. You have a lot of explaining to do." Sandy passed me a cup of water and two advil pills before folding her arms and looking at me. They all had disappointed looks on their faces which had me confused.
"What are you talking about? God, what did I drink last night? I feel like utter shit." I groaned sitting back down on the bed holding my head in my hands.
"You'll feel even worse after we tell you what you did to y/n." Cate commented softly.I looked up at her confused. Before I could question her Anne spoke up seeming very upset.
"You smacked y/n and basically made a fool of her in front of the whole bar Sarah. You told her she was a embarrassment and that she was pathetic and a waste of space. Why would you say something like that to her?" She exclaimed throwing her hands up in the air.
I looked at her in shock. I didn't remember doing or saying any of that. I thought as hard as I could to remember what happened last night it was all too fuzzy.
"I.... I said that?" They just nodded at me as I sat there in disbelief. I kept trying my hardest to remember what I said. it came back in small pieces but it was just images of y/n crying.
"What.. what else did I say?" I asked them quietly. I was ashamed of myself in all honesty.
"You told her that she needed to grow up and stop blaming all of her problems on her mental health issues. You also told her that she was a one night stand that got too attached." Sandy replied softly. I could hear the disappointment in her voice and on her face. I put my head down as my eyes glossed over. I can't believe I said any of these things.
"Where are my keys? I need to go home right now." I sprang up from the bed and looked for my things as quickly as I could. I need to fix all of this immediately.
"She probably won't be there. She told me she was going to pack her stuff up and leave when she left the bar last night." Anne told me. I cursed myself softly as I picked up my purse and my phone. I turned to them with a solemn expression on my face.
"Can one of you take me home please? I need to fix this."
Cate agreed to take me home. I quickly left out of the room with her following behind me. We got into the car and went back to my house.
When we got there I could see Y/n's car in the driveway. I sighed in relief knowing she was still here. I got out of the car quickly and ran to the front door. I fumbled with my keys but I ended up dropping them. As I reached down to pick them up I bumped into the door and it slowly opened. I stood up and pushed it open all the way quickly walking into the house.
I looked around the living room and saw her purse laying on the floor. I dropped my purse as well as I walked through the house calling out for her. When she didn't answer I got a little scared so I ran upstairs to look for her. I ran into our bedroom and saw she wasn't there either. I was getting a little worried until a breeze came through from one of the windows. I walked over to the window and climbed through it climbing up to the small part of the roof that was connected to it. Once I was up there I climbed up to the main part of the roof and I saw Y/n sitting down with her feet dangling over the edge.
I could see the tear streaks on her face which made my heart break. I did that to her.
"Y/n.. What are you doing up here?" I carefully made my way over to her not wanting to scared her. She looked up at me with emotionless eyes.
"Just leave me alone Sarah. I don't want to disappoint you any further." She spoke in a monotone voice. She turned away from me and looked back down at the ground. I was overly worried. Our house was almost 3 stories. If she were to jump she'd be badly injured or she could die. She pushed herself back some before standing up and turning around to face me.
"Y/n, baby let's go back in the house so we can talk this out. I never meant to hurt you last night. I don't know what came over me." I started walking towards her slowly but it seemed like every step I took forward, she took one back. She was close to the edge so I stopped walking.
"I'm just giving you what you want. I'm a waste of space, I'm a disappointment. Why should I burden you any longer?" Her voice was flat. Holding no emotion, never shaking or rising. Just painfully still.
"Baby please don't do this. We can fix this I promise. Just please come in the house." Tears stung my eyes as she walked closer and closer to the edge.
"A drunken tongue speaks a sober heart Sarah."
"Baby please, please I'll do anything. Just come and talk to me. It doesn't have to be this way."
I looked down at the street and saw all my castmates standing on the side walk watching our whole ordeal. I kept praying in my head that she would listen to me and just come in the house.
She looked at me for a minute or so just staying silent. I saw one lone tear fall down her face before she spoke.
"Forgive me. Not for my sake, for yours. Forgive me, please."
She took her final step back as I raced to catch her but I was too late. A blood curdling scream left my body as I leaned over the edge of the roof and saw her body fall to ground. Tears raced down my cheeks as I watch Sandra and everyone else race over to her but it was too late.
Blood started spilling from her body and the light in her eyes had vanished. I had lost the only thing that had truly loved me beyond compare and it was all my fault.
