She felt worthless, the numbness she felt on her legs was shit. After the accident, nothing ever really mattered to her. She was now just a burden.
"Y/N?" seokjin called out, arriving from work, tired and sleepy.
She hummed, wiping the tears as he entered the bedroom. He walked up to her, kissing her on the forehead.
"I'm going to cook, okay? Stay here."
He headed down and soon enough, you heard the sound of him cooking. Eager to help, you tried getting to your wheelchair, that was slightly distanced from the bed.
The wheelchair was too far away, and when you tried reaching for it, you ended up falling from the bed, emitting a loud thud.
You heard Footsteps running up as you ground and the door slammed open, seokjin sighing.
"God y/n, how many times do I have to tell you," he said, picking you up and placing you on the bed. "Stop forcing yourself. You're still healing."
"But I'm tired of being useless seokjin."
"God, are you literally saying that right now? I was out all day for work and when I come home, I still need to prepare food and then take care of you!" he shouted. "Stop being so stubborn! Your being a burden day by day!"
She blinked, tears welling in her eyes as he said that. And then they locked eyes, tears also welling up his eyes.
"Look, I love you." he said. "But please listen to me for once okay?"
He leaned in, kissing her on the lips passionately. His tears, mixing with hers.
And then when he pulled away, he said, "I need some time okay? I'll be back."
"N-no! Wait seokjinie please —" but it was too late, he was already out the bedroom and he already heard the front door shut.
"A-ah— No—" she was stubborn and dumb. She climbed down the bed and fell as she reached for her wheelchair.
"Ah!" she cried out, now feeling pain on her legs. "Ah! Oh god—"
She cried, hurt emotionally and physically. "Seokjinie — please—"
She stayed there crying for hours as the pain never subsided, instead, it worsened.
Then she heard the door open. "Seokjinie!" she cried out.
"Y/N!" he rushed, worry painting his face.
"Ahhh it hurtsss" she moaned. "Please I— AH!"
he held her, hands shaking as he reached for his phone, dialing the emergency hotline and saying his situation.
"Hold on love, they're coming." she cried, gritting her teeth as the pain felt like fire.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry —"
She panted, losing her consciousness as the paramedics arrived, taking her to the hospital.
