"What do you mean you ran out of money?!"
You sighed.
This was a typical visit with your long time friend Cobra. He always got angry at you when your wallet went dry.
"Let me explain! Jeez, you're always getting your panties in a knot."
"I don't wear panties, damn it!"
A laugh escaped your lips.
"Figure of speech, dumb ass."
He shifted in his chair.
"I had to get renovations done on the house and that took away the remaining jewels I had."
Cobra stared through the glass intently.
"My god Cobra! I'm telling you the truth! Stop going through my thoughts, you ass."
He sighed.
"You lied the last few times. First it was helping old people when you were just buying video games. After that it was for charity when in reality, you spent it all on stupid figures."
"They're collectables, Cobra. You wouldn't understand because you're stuck in this place."
There was silence again.
You did your best not to think, so he wouldn't hear it, but that didn't last long.
Your thoughts turned to why he was such as ass these days.
What happened to the Cobra you met back at the Tower of Heaven? The one who always stood up for you before he was taken away?
He looked at you and stared at his hands.
"Sorry. They don't treat us nicely in here like you do."
You looked at him through the glass.
"They only gave me a chair during visiting hours because they got annoyed over your complaint that I couldn't have proper seating."
"Because sitting on the floor is wrong! We had enough of that when we were kids. Cobra, why did you do this to yourself? To her?"
Cobra looked away.
You never got an answer out of him why he nearly killed everyone with Nirvana.
A guard came over.
"Visiting hours are done for the day. You can come back tomorrow."
A sigh escaped your lips before you stood up on your platform.
"Cobra, I'll be back tomorrow, but I won't stop asking until you tell me a straight answer on why you did what you did."
With that, you were guided out of the building and far out of Cobra's hearing range.
It hurt you to see him in there and to hear that none of the guards treated them nicely ticked you off.
"Guess I better get back before she scolds me again."

You walk through the front door only to be greeted by an angry looking Kinana.
"Where did you go?! No on at Fairy Tail seemed to see you leave."
"Sorry Kinana! I went to visit my friend again. Been kind of a daily thing for me, so sorry. I'll try to get home on time for dinner next time."
Kinana sighed.
"This friend of yours must be really special to you."
A small smile was placed on your lips.
"He is. We sort of grew up together for a while."
"He's a lucky guy to have you in his life."
You laughed as you sat at the dinner table where your food was.
"You make it sound like he and I will end up married."
"If (First Name)-chan likes her childhood friend, then I fully support the two of you together!"
The purple haired girl had a determined look.
Wasn't she angry a few moments ago?
"Thanks Kinana, but it wouldn't work out. At least...not any time soon. He has someone he cares for more than me. I won't get in his way of finding her agony reuniting with her. Kind of a sucker for that kind of stuff."
Kinana frowned.
"But does she visit him like you do?"
"No, but she has her reasons. Before she can see him again, I want to find out why he made the choices he made in the past. It's rather difficult to explain."
"I won't pry anymore then. Go on and eat dinner. I'm gonna head to bed now. The renovations in the bathroom is amazing!"
You smiled and watched her rush upstairs.
"Heh. I can see why he enjoyed her company back then."

"Cobra, your girlfriend is visiting again."
The man glared.
"She's not my damn girlfriend!"
You sighed and was before Cobra again.
"Is it just me or do you get angrier each time I see you?"
"Shut it (First Name)."
You cleared your mind and looked him in the eyes.
"Cobra, I think this will be my last visit for a while."
"What?"
"Low on jewels and I'll have to take some jobs again. I can't have my roommate deal with the rent all on her own."
"When did you get so responsible? "
You glared.
"Oh quiet, you! "
For once, he smirked out of entertainment. A smirk you hadn't seen in years.
"So, my visit will be shorter than usual."
He frowned and decided not to make a remark on the matter.
"Cobra, I'll ask again. Why did you commit such a terrible crime?"
There was silence.
"Damn it Cobra! I'm trying to help you out here and yet you won't tell me. How are we supposed to be friends if you won't tell me anything anymore?!"
"I'm not the same kid you met back then, (First Name)! Besides, you don't even know my real name!"
You flinched.
He was right. You never knew his real name and called him Cobra like everyone.
But it was the same for you.
Back then, you didn't tell him your real name because you had major trust issues.
"You didn't know my real name at first either, but I eventually told you because I trusted you later down the line. Do you still not trust me enough to know your damn real name?!"
There was silence.
"Just go. Leave."
That wasn't the answer you wanted to hear.
"Cobra..."
"Leave me alone, (First Name)! Don't come back either!"
Those were the words you didn't want to hear either.
"Fine..."
You didn't say anything else and left the prison.

Silence.
He was surrounded by silence again in his cell.
Why did he snap like that at you, of all people?
Cobra did trust you, but he was afraid that if he trusted you just as he trusted Cubellios, he would lose you as well.
He held his head in his hands.
"Damn it all to hell...why didn't I just tell you?"

"Hey Cobra!"
The young boy turned around holding his snake in his hands.
"Oh, hey Star!"
She shook her head with a giggle.
He was confused.
"Why are you shaking your head like that?"
"Star isn't my real name, silly. Just my favorite shape."
Cobra stared with an unamused face.
"Lighten up! I wanted to tell you my real name today because I know I can trust you with anything."
"Um...alright."
"My real name is (First Name)! You don't have to tell me your real name right away, though. I can wait. Today just felt right to tell you in case anything bad happens."
She was smiling brightly, like a star in the sky.
He smiled that soon turned into a grin.
"Okay (First Name)!"

A/N: Sorry this wasn't updated yesterday! Was catching up on some videos and recovering from that lovely food coma ^^ I'm really glad everyone is enjoying my work. Writing is seriously a nice get away for me since I'm literally dead broke. Well, figuratively speaking. I've got four bucks in my wallet after Sunday...having a life with friends lol Bought some KnB buttons and I love them. I spent forty dollars that day since we went for some Korean food. Yum! So, the food coma put me at a disadvantage in updating and I thought I updated Sunday morning, which I didn't. What matters is that I uploaded now...right. :D
Zancrow is next. Never really liked the guy, but I don't hate him. Let's see what I come with for our crazy God Slayer!
