"That's what I'm always trying to say to you, Kimhan." Tavee said. She knew both Kim and Pie didn't notice her presence there. She could tell that by their face expression. They seems surprised mix with some terrible shocked.
"Dr.Tavee.." Pie's voice shook as she spoke.
"Pie, you know this lady?" Kim tightens her grabs on Pie's hands as if she don't want to let it go.
"Yes." Pie nods but her gaze never leave Dr.Tavee.
"Pie, she kidnapped me and hide me here. Don't trust her." Kim seems panic. Pie hugs that tom to calm her down.
"But Kim..Dr.Tavee is not a bad person." Pie assures that to Kim. Tavee steps into the room and walks to their side.
"You can file anything to me Kimhan. Even if you want to drag me to the court, I wouldn't mind." Tavee says calmly.
"Dr.Tavee, why don't you tell me that Kim is here?" Pie also needs an explanation for it. She is so puzzled with the current situation. Tavee didn't answer her. Instead, she threw her gaze anywhere but not to Pie.
"I'll tell you everything." She sighed and hung her head low.
#Flashback
It was about 10.00 p.m or any hour around that when I was driving home after I finished my duty for the day. The rain poured incessantly with no sign that it will stop within one or more hour. Not risking to involve in any accident during this bad whether, I had to slow down my vehicle. Other road users did the same too but that day was quite strange as not many vehicles on the road. As I drove passed an abandon dumping site, my eyes caught two suspicious figure unloaded something from their car's trunk. Well, they might wanted to throw the wastage or rubbish there but I wonder why must they do it that time, in a heavy rain. It was so ridiculous. I rarely mind people's business but that day my instinct told me to stop and observe their activities.
I parked my car to the left side of the road and I switched on the emergency lamp. The two men were too engrossed with their business. They wouldn't notice me. Furthermore, the heavy downpour limited our vision but still I can see them clearly from my car. In one or two minutes I saw one of the men took out a nearly human size black plastic bag from the car's trunk while the other man seemed directing him to do something that I didn't know. They went into the dumping site with it and came out with nothing in their hands. Everything happened too fast when I realized they left the site in a nick of time.
I told myself that there's nothing wrong with it but my curiosity won. I stepped out from my car with my umbrella and ran to to the dumping site. It took some times for me to find the thing that they thrown earlier and I'm so lucky when I found it not that far from my standing place. I braved myself to take a look on it. With a bit fear in me, I closed my eyes and ripped the plastic bag. It came to my surprise when suddenly my hands touched a cold skin. I know it's a human skin. When I opened my eyes to peek for that thing I fell down on the muddy ground. Utterly shocked because it was really a human. Silly me. I'm a doctor but I didn't dare to look to the person's face. I'm a bit scared. Once again I brave myself to check for the pulse and thank God the person is still alive.
I ran back to the main entrance of the dumping site to seek a help, hoping that any vehicles would pass by the road but it disappointed me when I couldn't stop one. The night is getting late and the rain poured more heavy. I knew if I left this person, he or she would die. The only hope is me. With all my might I tried to heave him/her back up to my shoulder but I failed. I have no choice but to drag this person to my car. When I reached home, the maids took care of this victim. They took him/her to my working room. It's like a small clinic in this mansion. When I was done cleaning myself, I rushed to my working room. It was the moment to know the gender of the victim. Slowly I cut open the plastic bag that wrapped his/her body. When my eyes laid on the face, my legs grew weak and broke on my knees. It is so similar like someone even though half of her face was badly injured..
"Kim's face is so similar like Leo right?" Pie's voice snapped Tavee.
"H — how did you know?" Tavee stammers on saying that. Pie can see that her face turned gloomy.
"Jeremy told me." Pie smiles to her.
"I'm sorry, Pie." Tavee doesn't know how would she explain it to Pie. Grandma had reminded her for many times. Kimhan is not Leo, her long lost fiance. She said she knew it but deep inside her, she don't want to let Kim go. When Grandma insisted to report about Kim to the cops, she begged to the old lady not to do so. She made thousands excuses just to let Kim stay a little longer with her and she was so lucky that Kim really need her help. Looking to Kim's face lessen her miss to Leo. Taking care of Kim, made her happy. She knew she can't keep Kim forever but she really wanted to feel this happiness even just for awhile.
"I feel you Dr.Tavee but Kimhan is not Leo." Pie brakes her reverie.
"I know. If you two want to file a lawsuit on or drag me to the court, I'm ready for it. I won't run." Tavee sighs heavily. Her heart feels empty again.
"Please let me know what happens to Kim, doctor." Pie asks. She takes a glance to Kim who remain silence since the beginning.
"I didn't know what they had done to Kimhan but I'm sure they wanted to kill her. I suspected they injected a powerful drug to kill her slowly. I could tell it by her heartbeats. It pounded out of normal that time. I'd reverse the drug effects and because of it, Kim was paralyzed. It's just temporary and wouldn't last long. I'm glad that she can moves her hands now. And about the wound on her face, it was because the corrotion of acid. They might want to destroy your face too. Honestly I didn't know who the real identity of you, Kimhan until your missing popped out in the breaking news. At that moment I realized that we have met once. Remember? At the park." Tavee tells Pie the whole story. When she asked Kim about the incident at the park, Kim didn't respond immediately to Tavee. She keeps silent as if she is trying to remember it.
"Jeremy? Tavee?" Kim utters the name from her mouth. It sounds familiar.
"I've told you, we have met once." Tavee tries to make Kim remember her too.
"Oh! You're the Goddess!" Kim said loudly which caught Pie to glare at her. Tavee hides her smile behind her hands. Yes. Kim ever said that and she heard it.
"What is your intention of taking Pie here? How did you know about me and Pie?" Kim asks to Tavee. The things that she never understand and Tavee never give the answer to her.
"How many times I have to tell you, Kimhan. I did it to help you. I took Pie here to give some encouragement for you to recover immediately and at the same time I need her talent to train the children." Tavee tells the truth to Kim.
"Well, it doesn't sound like a strong reason but it's okay." Kim nods knowingly.
"Hey, any one of you. Could you please switch on the lights? Why this room is so dark?" Once again Kim's words struck Pie's heart. She turns her gaze to Dr.Tavee. Her face seems worry.
"Kimhan, actually you can't see with your eyes." Upon hearing what Tavee said to her, Kim's body went weak.
"How could this happen Doctor?" The fragile Pie already crying.
"I don't know too, Pie. She needs to meet a specialist." Tavee sighs heavily.
"I'm blind?" Kim touches her eyes with her hands. She didn't cry neither too shock to hear it. She just kept touching her eyes with her hands.
"Doctor, please help Kim." It's Pie who is crying hardly. She is the one who can't accept that Kim lost her sight.
"I'll help you to look for the best specialist tomorrow. You two should rest now. It's getting late." Tavee said to them. She didn't expected that Kim wouldn't realize she had lost her sight.
"I'm fine, Pie. Dr.Tavee is right. We should take a rest." Pie is so surprise that Kim is capable of being calm that nothing happened to her. Kim wipes off her tears with her thumbs and smile weakly to her.
"Let me wheel you to the room." Tavee said. She takes a wheelchair for Kim and with the help of Pie they manage to heave Kim on it. Tavee leads them to the nearest room of the same floor.
Pie helps Kim to lay on the bed and then she laid next to the tom. Her face is still wet with her tears as she scans Kim's face.
"Are you crying Pie?" Kim brings her hands to touch Pie's face. Yes. Pie is still crying.
"Kim, why this happens to you? To us?" Pie also brings her hands to touch Kim's face but she avoid from touching the injured part. Tavee had put back a bandage to cover it awhile ago.
"Everything happens for a reason, Pie. If God knew we can't handle it, He wouldn't test us with all of these." Kim said. She pulls Pie into her embrace. Lucky that her hands can move right now but the other part of her body still paralyzed.
"Hushh..Stop crying. I'm fine." She fondles Pie's hair lovingly as the petite girl buries her face to Kim's chest.
"But..sobs..you...sobsob...lost your sight." Pie recoils within her hiccups.
"It's fine, Pie. At least I'm still alive." Kim whispers to Pie. It's a lie if she didn't feel sad for that. It was so devastated to know that she lost her sight but she can't do anything for it.
"And you know what? I'm so grateful that I still can meet you." Kim tightens her embrace around Pie. She missed Pie so much.
"I'm sorry Kim. If it is not because of me, this wouldn't happen." Pie cries even more as she keeps blaming herself for all misfortune that happen in Kim's life.
"Don't say that Pie. It's not your fault." It's so hard to make Pie stop crying. Kim knew it.
"Pie, I miss you sooooo much." Kim turns her voice to be cheerful. As she said that to Pie, she kissed Pie's forehead tenderly.
"I miss you too." Pie responds with a peck on Kim's lips.
"Kimmy, does it hurt so much." Pie asks. Kim knew that Pie is asking about her face or exactly her right side of her face. She didn't know how serious the wound would be but it feels like it's burned.
"A little. Do I look like a beast now? Roaarrr.." Kim jokes to Pie. She didn't want Pie feel worried too much about her.
"Hmm." Pie giggles with Kim's action. It seems like Kim manage to make this princess stop crying.
"Now, we be like... Beauty and the Beast." Pie laughs even more when Kim deepened her voice.
"Beauty will always love the Beast." Pie says to Kim. She plays her fingers to Kim's lips.
"Don't Beauty feel afraid of Beast?" Kim asks. She let Pie plays with her lips.
"No. Not at all." Pie stops her fingers and locks her eyes to Kim's face. Nothing change because of the injury. It's just half of her face was covered with the bandage.
"I'm glad to hear that. Thank you." Kim takes Pie's hand and place it to her left side chest, her heart.
"Pie, I'm sorry. I knew I hurt you that day." Kim mutters softly. Pie knew what she meant. It must be their quarrel about the matter of the kids, Nadeem and Sushar.
"I'll forgive you but in one condition." Suddenly Pie got an idea.
"What is it? Tell me. I'll do anything as long as you will forgive me." Kim assures that to Pie.
"Are you sure you are willing to do anything for it?" Pie reassure the assurance that Kim told to her.
"Yes, I promise." Kim lifts up her hand and swear to Pie.
"You can't take back your words." Pie put a devilish smile on her face. Kim doesn't know what she has in her mind.
"Just tell me, Pie. I'll do it." Kim says with confidence. What thing Pie would ask to her? A new car? She can buy it. A brand new piano? It's just a simple matter. She can give anything to Pie.
"Let's bring either Nadeem or Sushar to this world." Pie whispers with her seducing voice to Kim. She even blows her ears to make it more censored.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Kim gulps. She just pretends not to know.
"You know what I meant, Kimhan." Pie whispers again to Kim ears. She roams her hands around Kim's chest, making that tom breathe in rush. Kim is nervous.
"Can't you see that it's only my hands can be function right now?" Kim tries to find an excuse. Pie is so unpredictable.
"Nah, it's good then." Pie said. In no time, she pulls out Kim's pants.
"P — Pie..." Kim stammers. Cold sweat trickles down her forehead.
"You can't take back your words, Kimhan." The tricky Pie smirks. Kim is completely trapped.
"I knew it, honey." Kim said. In one swift movement. Kim pulls Pie and changed their position where Kim is on the top of Pie.
"You said you can't move your body." Pie is so startle with Kim's sudden action.
"I just trying and it works." Kim smirks. Even though she can't see Pie, she knew Pie must be surprised with it. Actually Kim can move her body, but it's still weak. Maybe Pie turned her on. That's why she is so energetic.
"I love you Pie.." With that, she kisses Pie's lips tenderly. From an innocent kiss turn to hungry one and the next and the next and the next. That night, they make love for the first time. Kim lost to Pie.
