Anna's faint, joyful hollers and Iduna's, Agnarr's and Kristoff's cheerful yells as the gates opened to welcome the rest of the Royal Family back home made Elsa's smile wider, and she might have to admit her cheeks hurt. Aiden stood beside her with a calmer expression, his arm protectively around his wife's waist.
She always tried to push away the fact why he seems slightly aloof nowadays, but over all she understands, since the past few days has been so eventful all he can do was ease himself down a bit.
Her body tensed up with surprise as Anna squeezed her body tightly, the gingerhead's hands clenched behind the small of her sister's back. After being fazed and startled, Elsa recovered and caressed her sister's face, kissing both of her cheeks.
"Don't you dare start with it's just been three days and you're sulking like a baby," Anna sniffles, "I'm sorry but I missed my sister and there's no way I'm barging in the castle without getting a hug and a girl talk."
"I already guessed." Elsa smiled, patting her sister's head, "I'll be by you and Kristoff's quarters after dinner and we'll start with a side of hot cocoa." Giving a side glance to her husband, who smiled slyly and gave her a thumbs up, she faced her sister again and beamed.
"Indeed we will," Anna's eyes brightened up with hot cocoa being mentioned, "We haven't done it for some time."
"Yeah."
"Now don't hog her all to yourself, Anna," Iduna chuckled as she slowly helped Olaf and Agnarr off the wagon, "We just came home, too."
Anna rolled her eyes good naturedly and nodded, tearing herself away from Elsa then moving on to greet the fire king who happily nodded and responded to her energetic rants.
Kristoff tiredly took Sven's harness and led him to the stables silently, yawning along the way as he mumbled about "mountain ranges" and "barely slept."
Beneath the soft warmth of Iduna's scarf, two bundles of joy blinked their eyes blankly as they saw nothing but the color magenta.
Where were grand mama and pawpaw?
Why couldn't they see anything but dark pink?
Uncomfortable with their current state, Chandler began to squirm and whimper while Auriana continuously cried; making their grandmother take off the scarf and carefully passed them to their mother.
Chandler's blue eyes lit up once he sensed his mother's close presence, his whimpers straining away. Auriana's cries reduced until her bawling turned into satisfied giggles, because they missed mama and it had been one scary journey for reaching her again.
"There wasn't a night where they didn't look for you," Said Agnarr, ruffling his grandson's hair, "They missed you terribly. Aside from the fact they are attached."
"I can see that, and mama herself missed them dearly too," Elsa grinned, smothering her children's faces with kisses, "Mh, I missed my two snowflakes so much. Don't worry, you're going to sleep in my arms and papa's tonight and not your cribs, how does that sound, my little loves? Would you like that?"
Agnarr and Iduna chuckled and went inside, Elsa in tow with two smiling baby royals savoring their mother's affection. It was odd to see their daughter like this in personal but it just symbolized how fear died and bravery lived on.
Aiden welcomed his children with literally open arms, clapping his hands in front of Chandler who waved out his flail arms with want; resulting to Elsa passing the baby prince to his father's comfortable arms.
Aiden rocked his male heir in his arms back and forth with a proud smile on his face, brushing his nose against the smaller one's affectionately.
As both parents walked on, Auriana couldn't help but bury her head on Elsa's chest sleepily, her small, chubby hand grasping for her mother's own. Elsa smiled and lets her child lock her hand around her index finger, pressing a light kiss on the little princess's face before walking forward to tuck her in.
Just like her twin brother, Auriana seemed to have this special connection with her mother. She would coo happily at Elsa if she sensed that Elsa is feeling in a good mood, and she would squirm in her mother's arms if she sensed discomfort. She would whimper with hearing the nursery door close right after Elsa tucks her in; because she just wanted to stay with her mama.
"They seem to be extra sleepy today." Aiden laughed, gesturing to the sleeping boy in his arms.
"They just missed their mama and papa, that's all." Elsa chuckled, striding forward to the twins' nursery.
Aiden shrugged casually and carefully rests his son on the layers of fine cushion, bending down to kiss both their tiny heads. After doing so, he went up beside his wife again and closed the door behind their figures.

"SO THAT JERK ATTEMPTED ON YOUR LIFE AGAIN?!"
Elsa sighed and beckoned Anna to be quiet, pointing to the nearby nursery just a few yards away. Anna sheepishly smiled for apology but the feisty scowl returned to etch on her face once again, her fists balling and Elsa was so sure she saw smoke fuming from her sister's ears.
"He wouldn't have done it if Maria didn't threaten him to have his head on a plate." Elsa replied coolly, smoothing out her ice dress. Her flawless pale skin still showed itself because of the upper part of the iconic dress, and the daring slit on her left leg would gap openly if ever the ice queen would walk, and Anna pondered how Elsa maintains her gorgeous, well-shaped figure after giving birth to twins.
"Aside from implied violence, what else did you and Aiden find out? Did the guards interrogate the suspects?"
"We did. Turns out one of her own goons didn't want to cooperate and partake in the crime, but he confirmed that Maria blackmailed him with something he just kept to himself, so he was forced."
"If he was so 'forced,' why does Aiden have a sprained shoulder, huh?"
"Well... They didn't take the fight lightly..."
"Did something else happen? I hope not."
"There is. Aiden happened."
"What do you mean?"
"Anna, I have never seen him so... Angry, before. His eyes were glowing like actual flames, he almost strangled Hans to death. I had to turn the courtyard into an ice rink since Hans' face was turning blue."
"Jeez.." Anna grimaced, "I didn't know he could be so.. defensively violent."
"He saw me about to die at Hans' clutches, that's why."
"But at least I know you'll be safe with him if ever I'm not around."
"I'll be safe either you or Aiden aren't around." Elsa huffed, folding her arms to herself.
She understood both her sister and her husband by being so protective perfectly, but she's not defenseless. With a flick of her wrist an eternal winter can literally happen, with just a wave of her hand she can create life; and finally with just her voice she can summon the entire group of the Enchanted Forest's spirits.
Not that she wanted to sound intimidating, but wherever did Hans get the courage to attack a Fire King and a Snow Queen?
"I just don't like the idea of people attempting on your life. I mean, you're-"
"- like the nicest, gentlest, warmest person ever!" Olaf bounced happily, hugging both the sibling's legs, nuzzling Elsa's with an enthusiastic guffaw, "Elsa! I missed you! There were like Northuldran children sticking fractals on my body yesterday but I couldn't care less and Auriana and Chandler loves to talk gibberish to me but still, I missed you!"
Elsa blushed and bent down to Olaf's height, patting his head, "That warms my heart very much. I missed you too, buddy."
"But I do have one question, though. I was speaking with Auriana and Chandler and then I found out, babies doesn't come from storks. And then I want to ask you..."
"Yes?" Elsa smiled.
"How are Auriana and Chandler made?"
