(Melissa's POV)
As we stopped walking through the portal, we found ourselves in a very dark red cavern. I look to Other Aphmau. Suddenly, Evil Zane spoke up.
"Before we can continue, I need you to take off the bindings." He said.
We all look to him in shock.
"No way!" Said Dottie.
"Hell. No." I said.
"Fine. But I'm not gonna be able to move as fast as you want me to." Said Evil Zane.
Other Garroth growled.
"Do it." Said Other Aphmau.
We all look at her in shock and surprise.
"Huh?!" Said Other Garroth.
"Are you nuts?!" Lucinda said.
"But..." Said Aaron.
Other Aphmau looked at Aaron confidently.
"We'll be fine." Said Other Aphmau.
"Yeah. Besides, we have Katelyn here." Aphmau said as her ears and tail twitched.
"Yep. I can take him." Said Katelyn.
"Alright." Other Garroth replied.
He removed the binds from Evil Zane's wrists.
"Better." Said Evil Zane.
Things got quiet for a brief second.
"Now, lead us to Laurence." Said Other Garroth.
"What? You don't want me to take you to the Shadow Lord's doorstep first?" Evil Zane asked.
"Laurence first. Doorstep never." Said Aphmau.
Aaron's ears twitched. So did mine.
"Hmph. Fine. This way." Evil Zane said.
We began to follow Evil Zane but for some reason, I had the feeling... that an old enemy has returned.
As we walked throughout the red cavern, we arrived at some castle. This must be The Nether Kingdom.
I began to feel uneasy. Evil Zane then looked at us.
"In there." He said.
"Are you certain?" Other Aphmau asked.
"You're questioning me NOW?" Evil Zane asked as he raised an eyebrow.
Aphmau began to narrow her brow.
"You better not be lying or luring is into a trick." Aphmau said.
Evil Zane scoffed at her.
"I am not lying. That is where you'll find Laurence." He said.
"Then go." I said.
"Yeah. Bring him out." Said Aaron.
He sighed.
"Fine." Said Evil Zane.
He took a few steps forward. I suddenly see a man on the roof of the fortress who wears the same red and black armor as Evil Zane. Except he has light brown hair and red eyes.
He jumped down from the roof and Evil Zane charged at him. Their swords clashed each other and they lock blades.
"Zane." The Shadow Knight said.
"Think you can kill me this time?" Evil Zane asked.
"I won't let you get away. You are a fool to come back here." Said the Shadow Knight.
"Unfortunately, I'm not here to deal with you. Look behind me." Said Evil Zane.
The two stopped locking swords and the light brown haired shadow knight looked at Other Aphmau. It was Laurence. The last time I saw him was in Modzilla's world. Fighting the void....
"Laurence!" Said Other Aphmau.
"Laurence." Said Katelyn.
"What?" Laurence questioned.
Something was indeed off. His eyes were red. Not blue. He must've became a Shadow Knight once he got back to his realm.
"Why are there two of you?" Laurence asked.
"Aaaannd, the explanation begins..." Said Aaron.
"Okay, long story short, those five are from a different dimension, okay?" Other Aphmau asked.
Laurence scoffed.
"Never mind that. Why are you here?" He asked.
"We've been looking for you! For all of these years, I can't believe..." Other Aphmau said.
"Seriously. The great Aphmau herself has come to see me in person." Said Laurence.
"Laurence, we've been worried about you." Said Other Garroth.
"We'd go looking anywhere for you." Said Katelyn.
Aphmau spoke up.
"Please, let the other me help you." She said.
"Help?" Laurence asked.
He laughed evilly.
"You could never help me. You've made a grave mistake thinking you could come." Said Laurence.
Laurence began to draw his red sword but out of nowhere, a blast of green light hit the ground. It was just 11 inches away from us, breaking up the confrontation between Laurence and I. But for some reason, the green light was... emerald green and the blast came to us like an arrow.
"Wha...?" I questioned.
"How did...?" Lucinda asked.
"I..." Said Dottie.
"I don't know." Said Aaron.
"Huh?" Aphmau said puzzled.
We looked up to the roof of the fortress to see a werewolf in the same red and black armor as Evil Zane and Laurence. He was also wearing a red and black helmet that covered his face. There were two holes in the helmet that exposed his wolf ears. They were dark blue and his wolf tail was dark blue.
He jumped down from the roof and walked over to us, pushing Evil Zane and Laurence aside.
"Did you do that?" I asked.
The werewolf nodded in agreement. He also demonstrated a tiny glow of green magic from his hands. But the magic... looked awfully familiar.
"Who is this?" Aphmau asked.
The werewolf removed his helemet to reveal a face I wish I would never see again. Navy hair with a gray streak. Silver eyes and scars on his face. He smiled at Aphmau.
"What? No hug?" He asked as he holds his arms out to her.
It was our old enemy... The Alpha obsessed wolf... Aaron's arch nemesis... Aphmau's ex-fiancé...
Ein...
