i finally reached the light switch and didn't see him anywhere. instantly, a wave of panic hit me. where could he be? i checked the bathrooms, the main rooms, the garden, the shower house, but he was nowhere to be found.
should i tell a teacher? i probably should but they're all asleep. i stood in the middle of the garden, trying to catch my breath. it felt hopeless. i've let him down again... haven't i? i fell down on to my knees as the tears streamed down my face.
"why can i never help you?"

i heard a faint 'help' from inside the woods. it's him. i started running.
