Rayna's POV

My eyes fluttered open, only to be met with darkness. The kind where you can't even see two inches in front of you. The kind that's cold and uninviting. So dark, that I couldn't even see with my enhanced vision.

I groaned and reached for my head. Funny thing; I couldn't. My arms seemed to have been restrained, along with my legs. That's when I noticed I was sitting in a chair with the feeling of a thick rope around my torso, keeping me from moving. My arms were tied down to the arm rests while my legs were secured to the legs of the  chair.

My heartbeat started to increase in pace. How did I get here? I asked myself. I tried to think back to what happened but my mind was fuzzy. I couldn't remember.

I pulled on the ropes around my wrists but it was no use. They were tight.

The aching on the back of my head started to increase, making me groan. I leant my head back, resting it on the chair and stared at the ceiling. Familiar pangs of pain spread throughout my chest. I couldn't figure out what they were for. All I knew was that I felt empty.

No matter how much I tried to dwell upon what had happened and how I got here, it was to no avail.

I heard a loud creak as a huge door opened behind me. It let in beams of light from the other side. I saw a silhouette of a man in the light. Then, at the sound of a switch flipping, light filled the room. I had to squeeze my eyes shut and look down to avoid my eyes from burning.

Footsteps echoes behind me. I opened my eyes and got a clear view of the ropes that surrounded me. What also caught my eye were the different wires that were connected to various parts of my body.

The footsteps got closer until I saw a pair of black shoes in front of me. The man knelt down and gripped my chin between his fingers, forcing me to look into his dark brown orbs. I took in all of his features and then...

I remembered.

The note.

The forest in the east border.

Orion followed me.

He was...

There was no one around to help.

"You're acting quite calm for what I exp-"

"You killed him!" I screamed, pulling against the bonds. His expression turned into a smirk. An all too familiar one.

"There we go!" He said excitedly, his eyes lighting up. "You seemed to have forgotten for a second there." He stood up and just stared at me intently.

I started to feel hot, beads of sweat appearing on my forehead.

He was dead. I saw him lying on the ground with a blade in his back. I held him as he was in pain, before I was ripped away from him and knocked out.

Now I'm here.

I don't even feel him anymore. All I felt was emptiness in place of his presence.

"You killed him." I whispered, hot tears trailing down my face. My heart crumbled inside of me as the pangs got worse. I looked up at him. He was sporting a pout that was obviously fake.

"Aw, I'm sorry," he cooed. "I didn't think you would care. You said so yourself, you don't love him." He was right, I did say that. But I now knew that it wasn't true. I had been lying to myself this whole time, thinking that I had moved on from loving him. Turns out, I was wrong.

"What did I do to have possibly deserved this?" I whispered to myself. Though it wasn't really meant for Alec to hear.

"Oh," he drew out. "You did nothing wrong." He said in a sweet voice. "Apart from the fact that you had me imprisoned for more than a month." His voice turned dark, venom dripping from his lips.

"You tried to kill me!" I snapped, my anger and pain getting the better of me. He pressed his index finger to my lips, shushing me.

"You and your mouth." He tsked, shaking his head. "I can see why he put you down in the dungeon for so long." I moved my face quickly, my eyebrows coming together to form the facial expression known as a glare. It hid the fact that I was getting flashbacks to the horrid moments I had spent alone and in pain.

"How did you-" his dark laugh cut me off.

"I have eyes and ears everywhere, darling." He motioned to his eyes and ears. I grimaced at the nickname he had given me.

"I also have people that'll do what I tell them without hesitation." He started to walk around me. This situation was getting quite repetitive. "Meaning," he paused. "That if I give the order to kill someone, they'll do it. Which means that I can give the order to destroy your beloved packs." I shivered at the thought of it.

He gripped my chin in his hand once again. "So I suggest that you listen to every word I say if you want them to make it." His eyes were darker than their usual dark brown color. They were almost black.

I started him in the eyes, hatred burning in my forest green ones. I hoped to burn a hole through his eyes.

"You still fail to tell me why I'm here." He laughed once again as he pulled away, continuing to walk around me in circles.

"What's something you have that anyone would kill to have?" He wondered, stoking his chin. I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to come up with an answer.

"I don't-"

"You don't know," He finished for me. "I want your powers." He whispered in my ear from behind me, moving tendrils of hair away from the side of my face, making me lean my head away.

"How are you going to get those?" I asked. "Last time I checked, you were just a plain old werewolf. You're nothing like me."

"And you're right about that. But," he paused dramatically. "It's actually fairly easy to just take them from you." I scoffed. There was no way.

"You can't do that." I said, certain that it was impossible. He went over to the side of the room that was behind me. The sound of screeching filled my ears as I hear something heavy being dragged along the floor. Alec came back into my view, dragging a wooden chair that appeared to be very heavy. He positioned it in front of me and took a seat.

"What makes you so sure that I can't just rip them from you?" That made me think, could he?

"Because," I said. "It's never been done before?" It sounded like a question. That's because I wasn't sure. He could have probably already taken them for all I knew.

He shrugged. "You're right, it's never been done before." He said. "But, that doesn't mean it's impossible. Note the wires that are attached to your body." He nodded towards me, making me look down at the wires I had noticed a while ago. "That, it what will allow me to do so."

"You're not getting them," I glared at him. "I'd let you if you were a good person. Goddess what I would give to be a normal werewolf." I said while looking up for a second then back at Alec, my glare returning to my featured. "But since you don't seem to be behaving like a good person, yeah, that's not happening."

He laughed darkly, "we'll see."

Orion's POV

I was lucky to be alive.

The blade seemed to have missed anything vital. I have the moon goddess to thank for that. I also had a strong will to live.

For her.

To find her.

My bedroom door opened and in walked Ace with a tray that appeared to have food on it in his hands.

"How are you doing?" He walked over to the bed that I had been stuck in for the past 5 hours. He handed me the tray which I took and placed next to me, refusing to touch anything on it.

"I can't eat, knowing that my mate is out there, possibly dying because of me." I admitted. "I feel useless, not being able to look for her myself."

"Everyone is out and looking for her."

"Well they're not looking fast enough." I snapped, making him flinch.

"Relax, it's not that easy," I knew it wasn't. "I just want her back."

He rubbed my back soothingly as my face was in my hands. "We'll get her back. One way or another. And when you heal in a couple of hours, you can help look to make you feel better."

Don't stop until I get my mate back.

Charles' POV

Almost everyone in the pack was looking for her, everyone of all ages. It's been five hours and there's still no sign of her.

Don't stop until I get my mate back. Orion's voice echoed in my head.

I stopped in my tracks. No one knew and he said it in the pack wide link. People around me also stopped, looking at eachother in shock.

Conversations starting bubbling up, pack members giving their opinions about it to eachother.

Yes I know, I'll explain when this is all over. Just find your Luna.

The conversations that started moments ago came to a close as they followed their Alpha's order. New determination appeared in everyone's eyes as they now knew who they were looking for.

Orion's POV

Hours later, I was fully healed. I had called Rayna's family... or what remained of it. I had found the picture frame of her family on her bed. They were sitting in the chairs that were positioned on the other side of my office desk.

"What is it that you called me here for, son." Raymond spoke with authority lacing his voice. "How is my daughter?" Rayna's sister, -Riley I think was her name- was sitting in a chair next to her father, paying to attention to me. Her head was bowed and her hand was over her fathers. She was playing with his fingers.

"Th-thats the reason I called you here, Alpha Raymond." My lip quivered, a stray tear escaping my eye. "She's been taken from me."

Both Raymond and Riley snap their heads to meet my gaze. Riley's expression turned into fear. Raymond blinked a couple times, processing the information before his expression turned hard with anger.

In a second, I was out of my seat and pinned to the wall behind me. Raymond had his hands around my throat, not applying pressure but he was ready to kill me any moment.

"You let my daughter get taken!" He bellowed.

"Dad! Stop!" Riley yelled behind him, grabbing his arm and pulling on it. He seemed to have ignored her because he started to apply pressure to my neck. I clawed at his hands as I started to struggle to breathe.

The girl was yelling for her father to stop behind him. I looked over to her. She looked just like her. It almost made me feel at ease to see her. But then I remembered that I was struggling to breathe. I started to see black spots from the lack of air entering my body.

"Stop!" She cried. "This won't bring Rayna back!" He finally let go and I dropped to the floor, inhaling air greedily. I coughed as I tried to get air into my lungs.

"You're lucky." He said to me. "She just saved your life." He was right. I looked over at the girl who had just saved my life. Her cheeks were red as a river of tears escaped from each eye.

"I h-" inhale. "The whole-" inhale. "Pack looking for her."

"Good." Is all he said. "My daughter better be returned safely or I will rip your head off of your shoulders myself." I nodded, standing up from the ground. I had to hold on to the desk to keep myself from falling back down.

"I assure you that we will find her." I told him. "I'll make sure of it."

Phew!! This chapter was kind of hard to write if I'm being honest. It's another 2000+ word chapter because I'm just so nice!!

Sorry about the constant POV changing throughout the last couple chapters. I just want y'all to have a good understanding of what's going on inside of certain characters heads.

I found this poem yesterday on tiktok.
The user of the author is: carsonls

He created this poem for people who might not be in a good headspace and are contemplating on whether or not they should end their life. This poem made me cry because I know people who personally need to hear this and I know that I've been in a bad headspace and ive had people who have helped me through my hard times. I thought I could spread it and some of y'all might need to hear it so here are the lyrics. This is "5 seconds" by carsonls (on tiktok)

"My five seconds weren't of fame.
My five seconds came on November 25th, 2017.
On the bathroom floor with a bottle of pills and the choice to go or stay.

I chose to go and my five seconds almost never came.
And then I thought of her, my little sister and how she'd smile at me the very same day.
And in how just five seconds I can make her entire life be ripped away.
how in just five seconds I can take her big brother away.

And so I had a choice to make.
To pick up the phone and call for help or to let my last five seconds fade away.

Because we only have five seconds.
To choose to go, or to stay."

If anyone ever needs to talk, contact me here on wattpad. I'm open to talk and I'll listen.

-Ari❤

Anyways I'll see y'all in the next chapter.
