Three days of dead ends later, we located the warehouse John is hiding Hailey in.
Lucas has become restless and demanding now, it's hard to stay focus on anything with him yelling at me to save his girlfriend.
"Stop yelling at me!" I shout slamming my fist on the table "you're pissing me off, I told you I'll go when his friends leave. It's too much of them for us to take on, we'll never make it out if we engage them now"
It seemed like my statement did nothing to calm him down, motioning Matt to Lucas I asked for his help.
Matt raises his hands in the air then slams it where Lucas' shoulder and neck meets.
"Matt!" I screech catching Lucas as falls forward unconscious
"This was the easiest way to get some peace and quiet, Mrs.Ricci"
"I already told you, you don't need to call me that. We aren't married, just call me by my name" I huff laying Lucas across three chairs since that was the closest thing to us
"I am calling you by your name, Mrs.Ricci" Matt smirks slyly
"Fuck you" squinting at him I flicked him the bird before going back to hacking into the door keypad that's on the door of the warehouse Hailey's in. Hopefully it'll work.
"As much as I'd like to take you up on that offer, I'm going to have to decline. Boss with put a bullet in my head faster than you could spell Mississippi"
"Sounds like something he'd do" I chuckle

"I love you Babe, please be safe" Elijah stressed out
"Elijah you've said the same thing twice, I will be extra careful okay?"
"I don't believe you, your reckless sometimes"
"Anyways, can you tell me more about the deal you made? I don't understand why you think I'm gonna overreact"
"Because I know you, I just need you to trust me and know it's not what it seems. When you find out you're most likely going to want to leave me but just know you won't get far, I won't let you" he says sternly
"Mrs.Ricci, the men are leaving its now or never" Matt's voice comes through the divider wall
"We'll talk more later, remember what I said to you in your office that day I brought you and Alex Monkey bread?" I question checking my gadgets
"Yes, you said you didn't want to fall for me because you fear I'll leave you. I won't leave so you have nothing to worry about I promise"
"Well the way you were talking a few minutes ago it seems like your stepping out on me" I sigh getting out the back of the van, closing the door behind me
"Babe, I know what it sounds like but I'm telling you it's not like that. I wouldn't hurt you and Delilah like that. Be careful and try to leave this mission unharmed, I love you"
Matt and Lucas make there way out the front of the van, both had an uneasy facial expressions.
"I trust you Elijah, be safe on your end too" hanging up I tucked my phone in my back pocket "watch my back boys"
I held out my wand like device and slid it across the keypad, it fried the keypad liked I knew it would.
"We've got fifteens minutes until law enforcements get here so let's make this quick and get the hell out of here" I whisper creeping into the building slowly, taking out my thermal imaging camera "there's three people in the area we're about to go in, try not to shed any blood"

"Can I ask you something?" I question glancing at Dave then at the kids
"Wassup?" he nods catching his daughter Kairi as she trips in front of him "be careful Kai"
"I am" Kairi giggles before running out his hold
"Does your woman ever get jealous of your kids being all over you instead of her?"
Dave laughs shaking his head no "it's the other way around man, Kairi's all over Liyah daily. I have to beg that little girl to give me attention. But thankfully Hope loves a nigga, she's with me twenty-four seven. All you gotta do is even the playing field, give her another baby if she's feeling left out or try to get Delilah yo spend time with her "
I sat back and thought about what he said, I wouldn't mind having another kid running around the house and I wouldn't have a kid with anyone other than my Mia Regina, but she doesn't want another kid right now.
Hope came towards Dave out of breath holding her arms out.
"Davey. . . I need. . . a nap" she pants
"Just like yo damn momma" Dave picks her up, sitting her on his lap
"Dada, we want juice" Kairi shouts holding Delilah's hand walking her over to me
"Dada, wan see mama" Delilah says pointing to my phone that's on my lap "peas Dada"
"Not right now but she's going to call us later"
Delilah held up her pinky frowning, not believing me.
"I promise, Princess" I hooking my pinky with her before kissing it
"I miss mama Aaliyah, Dada I miss mama!" Kairi pats Dave's leg repeatedly
"See what I tell you, Eli the kid is obsessed with my lady. She never wanna be with me for a long time, she always want Liyah" Dave shakes his head, doing something on his phone then gave it to Kairi
"Hello?" Aaliyah's voice rang through the phone
"Hi mama!" Kairi squeals
"Hey babes, you ready to come back to my house? I miss you"
"Dads, we gotta go. Mama Aaliyah miss me" Kairi says giving him the look
"Well tell her come get yo mean ass" Dave shrugs
"Dave bring me my damn baby and shut up" Aaliyah snaps
"What ima get in return?"
"You get to keep breathing"

I spent the last hour trying to talk to Hailey but she couldn't really get any of her words out.
I've noticed she has a bit of a stuttering problem.
I ended up giving her a notebook to write in so we could continue our conversation when she gave up trying to speak.
"I think you should turn in your boss and everyone else who was involved. It may not give you the closer you need but it will give you some kind of relief to know their off the streets roaming freely" I smile faintly, stretching I let out a low yawn "or you could black mail them into giving you half of a million dollars to 'keep quiet' but in reality you just turn them in after you get the money. That's something I'd do"
She shook her head laughing slightly
"I-will go-go-go with the fi-first option" she stutters
"Okay, well I should let you go now. Lucas has been waiting not so patiently to have you to his self" I roll my eyes glancing at him watching us like a hawk "thanks for taking care of him over these past few months, I wish we didn't meet the way we did"
"Likewise" Hailey nods softly glancing at Lucas
"Lucas" I gestured for him to follow me to the door
"Huh?" he ask
"Why did you wait so long to tell me about her?" I question wondering why it took for her to get kidnapped so he would introduced her to me, Hailey seems so nice
"I didn't want you to judg—" Lucas sighing himself off, running a hand down his face
Hearing that made my heart feel five times heavier. I looked away from him not wanting to show him how much that hurt me.
"You really thought I'd do that?" I ask at a whisper "Lu I would never, I never judged you even though you tried to kill me when we were younger or when you beat me until I couldn't stand on my own that one time you blacked out. I never judged you when you told me about the urges for the first time so why would you think I'd judge her?"
Hailey came out of the kitchen with a confused look coming to Lucas' side.
Backing away shaking my head I opened the door, Matt stood on the other side waiting for me.
"It was nice meeting you Hailey" I wave walking out the door, tears rolled down my face as Matt and I got on the elevator
"We'll head back home tonight, you don't have to wait until tomorrow" Matt pats my back softly "I heard everything Mrs.Ricci, I don't think he meant it like that, I'm hoping not"
"I don't think he was ever going to let me meet her, if it wasn't for her getting kidnapped I'm positive I wouldn't have met her or ever heard of her"
