So guess what I did... I joined the Stablemates Club! Again! So there goes my goal of only going after the CC Traditional models... I'm still hoping to snag at least one, hopefully the Makin A Splash horse or the dapple grey Dundee. So let's recap on the Stablemates and find out more about them! All pictures are from Breyer, and so are the paragraphs!!
"Meet Klaus, who will be the first release in the 2020 Stablemates Club.
Presented on Kelly Sealey's "Darwin" sculpture, which first debuted as part of the 2018 Premier Club, Klaus is a historical Lipizzaner with a loud black leopard appaloosa coat. While appaloosa is not present in the modern Lipizzaner breed, the color has been well-documented in historical artwork. He is performing the pesade, one of the airs above the ground of classical dressage."
So close to another full conga, for now! I can't wait to have this guy in my hands and find a buddy for him from my collection! Hopefully I can order him and his first regular run brother together, two ponies one stone.

"This Arabian stallion's rich, glossy finish perfectly accentuates his glowing bay coat. Featuring two hind socks, a star, and plenty of dapples, he's sure to be a knockout in any Stablemates collection!
Sultan is our "G1" Stablemates offering for 2020, which refers to the original Stablemates molds sculpted by artist Maureen Love that debuted in 1975."
I really like this horse but he kind of reminds me of Zirhat from 2016, another bay glossy Arab - just on the rearing pose. I have no doubt I'll love this guy though!

"Today's reveal is Chroma, a piece of dazzling clearware!
Following the 2017 Stablemates Club model, Allegiance, Chroma is only the second time a clearware decorator has made an appearance in the Stablemates Club! This colorful Cob is decorated with shades of pink, blue, green and gold over a clearware base - he's quite the unique addition to the Stablemates Club lineup."
I'm so excited to add another clearwear in my collection and he's kind of opal-y! He's like a crystal one step closer to having a complete conga again!

"We're beginning to round out our lineup for next year, with two more models to be revealed. Florian is the first of these two! This dark chestnut tobiano pinto sporthorse features a detailed white pattern, eyewhites, and a thick coat of gloss to make his color pop. Created on Kathleen Moody's beloved Stablemates Warmblood mold, Florian is sure to be a hit amongst Stablemates fans!"
I'm sooo happy this guy is not a bay pinto, this guy is gorgeous!! He looks like a deep carmel sauce and his little star almost looks like a maple leaf witch I think is really cute.

"Created on our mini Alborozo mold, originally sculpted by Brigitte Eberl, Valerio will be our 2020 "gambler's choice" model - which one of his four stunning coat colors you receive will be a mystery until he shows up at your doorstep! With their heroic stance and windswept manes and tails, each of these Spanish stallions are truly a sight to behold.
Will your box contain the stunning glossy bay blanket appaloosa? Or perhaps the soft dappled rose grey will make an appearance? Maybe you will open up your box to find the glossy palomino sabino? It's also possible that you'll open your box to find something a bit more fanciful - a teal and purple pintaloosa unicorn!"
Honestly I like 3/4 of these guys... I really like the the matte rose grey, and the glossy palomino because he's super gorgeous, but I also really like the bay because I think he'd go really nicely next to Andante! I'd honestly be ok with any of them except the Uni, too bad they used one of my patterns on a horse I don't like. 😭

We have yet to see even a shilloet of the new mold for 2020 but on Breyers Instagram it was said to be a "performance friendly Stock horse mare" sculpted by Maddie Jenner Bennett! Fingers crossed it's not another bay or bay pinto, long shot but fingers cross for a dunalino... because I'm obsessed. An awesome line up from Breyer this year and so much surprises! And speaking of surprises... there's ONE more model for the Stablemates Club this year!
Duke is an OPTIONAL model sold at the end of the year as a way to say thank you and for celebrating 70 years, as stated above! This honestly makes me feel so much better about most likely missing out on King, the Deluxe Club freebie at the end of the year, I'll at least be getting one shrunken piece of Breyer history! Duke is what sold me on the Stablemates Club for this year and I have a really good feeling I won't be disappointed!
Happy New Year everybody, and happy collecting!!
