JIANNE’S POV
Ivan called up Vernie. May meeting daw si Jayden with the Sanders.
This is it. I want to clear things up. My brother is already happy with April at ayoko na ng epal. This is hard for Jayden. Alam kong ayaw niyang biguin si Dad. Pero this is unfair para sa kanya. Nung nalaman ko yung tungkol kay Kendra, nagpanting agad yung tenga ko. You see I hate girls swooning over my brother.
Kinausap ko si Ivan. He told me, Kendra kissed my brother. I swear nung sinabi yun ni Ivan, I felt so mad. Parang gusto kong kalbuhin si Kendra. Jayden has so much respect for women. Kitang-kita ko yun on how he looks at us, sa amin ni Mama. She looked at Marcy and Gail as if they are his most-priced possessions. And the way she looks at April now, I could see forever sa mga mata niya.
As I’ve said before, I am willing to do anything for Jayden. Oo ako na ang stage-sister at uber-supportive na kapatid. Pero hindi ko talaga ma-take yung nangyari. Kaya nandito ako para once and for all eh matigil na yang kahibangan ng Kendra na yan.
I saw Mr. Sanders and his family. A tall half-American, half-Filipina’s seating beside Jayden. Walang duda siya na yung Kendra na yun.
Jayden’s eyes lit up when he saw me. I smiled at him.
“Mr. Sanders, I’d like you to meet my sister, Jianne. Ate, this is Mr. Sanders.”
“Goodmorning.” Nag-shake hands kami.
“Ate this is Mrs. Sanders, Kendra and Lila.”
“Hi.” At umupo ako sa tabi ni jayden.
Kendra pulled her chair closer to Jayden. Grabe she’s a flirt talaga. The nerve of this girl.
“Ehem. Excuse me, Jayden where’s April? I thought she’s coming?”
“Who’s April?” si Kendra.
“April is Jayden’s fiancée. They’re about to get married. I haven’t seen her in a while.” I said giving her stay-away-from-my-brother look.
“I didn’t know you we’re engaged.” Kendra said. She looked sad and disappointed. Sorry na lang girl. Haha.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to tell it to you. But as far as I can remember, Mrs. Sanders already know about this. I can’t be with my girl all the time because she’s also busy with her work. I’ll ask her one of these days to join us for coffee.”
“I’m sorry Ken, yeah he already told me about his fiancée.” Kinausap ni Mrs. Sanders si Kendra na nakabusangot ang mukha. Halos hindi na maipinta yung mukha niya. She even asked to be excused. Pagod daw siya at gutso muna niyang magpahinga. Sinamahan ni Lila ang Ate Kendra niya.
“I’m sorry about that. She’s a spoiled brat and she always gets what she wants. I hope this incident would not affect our business relationship.” Si Mr. Sanders. He’s very apologetic.
“No harm done Mr. Sanders. As I was saying, my father told us interesting details about your business abroad.”
“Ah yes. We are managing apartelles and condominiums. My friend and business partner, Henry Sandoval told me to invest on hotels and casinos. He suggested Grand. It is known for good service. Its popularity has reached the whole country.”
“Henry Sandoval?” - ako
“Yes. He owns Prestige Garments.”
“Ate si Mr. Henry Sandoval yung Dad ni Jeanie.” - Jayden
“Talaga?” - ako
“Yes.” Ansaya ng kapatid ko.
