The morning light shone through the slight opening between two drapes in Elsa's study, kissing Prince Aiden's pale skin from his forehead to his leg that was crossed relaxed on top of his other. His emerald green eyes stared at the flame he did on his open palm; his silky locks of black hair blown by his mouth in boredom.
He looked like a perfect painting.
His soft pink lips pursed, his finger touching the flame that he produced in his palm, yet his finger didn't get a single burn.
"Aiden?"
Aiden's eyes widened to find a shocked and bewildered queen at the entrance of her own study, the tray of food being placed on the table. Elsa's eyes were not of fearful; they weren't one of horrified; they were ones of amazed.
She approached him quietly, which almost frightened the poor prince she wanted to touch the flame. He was shocked by himself, too. He should've made the flame die, should've slammed his hand back into his pocket like nothing happened.
But no, because she was curious.
But why?
She sat on his lap, peering over his chest to see it once again. Her eyes went round for a few seconds like a little child touching a flower curiously.
"It's... It's so beautiful.."
Her whispers tickled his ear, but blessed his soul.
His powers... Beautiful?
As in... Admirable?
The thought of the beauty of flames never crossed his mind, it was unbearable to think. His mother had always spoken about their special abilities, and for Aiden, he doesn't know which words to believe.
His mother always told him that it's a beautiful gift, it's nothing like what his father always yell at his mother at all. It radiates, it gives warmth, it produces heat, produces life, produces survival...
"Aiden, little love," Helena once smiled, lifting his chin, "It also thaws and reheats the cold of our hearts. Don't forget that." A pair of emerald green eyes stared up at its mother's, a small smile in the child's lips, "Okay, mama."
But his father...
That, thing is demonic! That's not a gift at all, Helena, that's some reason our subjects will call you a witch! The freak of the kingdom!
You demon! It will sabotage our kingdom's future, in fact, it could even BURN down our kingdom's future!
You wretched woman, get out of my sight!
It was a cross-bridge between heaven and hell.
It was a cross-bridge between sugar coatings and salt.
Tears trickled down his cheeks as he thought of the violent and hurtful words his father said to his mother when he was seven.. They struck his heart like the tip of his own sword; it was how threatening his father could be to his mother.
Elsa then turned to face him directly, holding his hands, noticing how the flame disappeared from his palm. Her mouth opened, but nothing came out once she found the small waterfalls that cascaded down his pale cheeks. She quickly pulled out a small white cloth from her pocket, "Oh, honey, why are you crying?" She cooed softly, cradling his head.
Aiden wiped his tears with a smile, "Y-you, really think they are beautiful?"
Elsa nodded her head vigorously, "Yes, because they really are. Flames aren't deadly as other people think it is."
Oh.
"And you still l-love me?" He trembled, uncontrollably nervous.
"And why wouldn't I?" Elsa smiled, "Besides, you're just like me. Aiden," she smiled, tears forming in her eyes, "Someone's just like me."
Aiden smiled, pushing back a strand of her hair, "All my life," Elsa sniffed, "I thought I was the only one. I thought I was the different one."
"You're not alone anymore," Aiden pecked her cheek, "And you'll never be, starting from this day."
"Oh Aiden, I never was." She smiled sweetly, lifting his chin, "There was Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven all along..."
She gazed lovingly at him, "And now... You."
Bumping their noses together, Aiden forced down a sob, "T-thank you." He said shakily, "S-so much."
Elsa stroked his cheek, "Thank me for what?"
"For telling me the truth."

Aiden leaned in closer, a smirk tugging his lips, "Come here, you—" Elsa 'hmphed' and turned away from him, sitting away from his lap, a serious expression replacing her former happy and demure emotion earlier.

"Oh, come on now, why won't you let me kiss you? I've been trying for the last two minutes!" Aiden mocked his frustration. Elsa 'grumbled' and stared at him, teasing him, "I couldn't believe you didn't tell your own girlfriend!"
"Hey! It's just that... I thought they might... Hurt you, you know."
Elsa turned to him, sitting on his lap once again, kissing his cheek, "Aiden... Look at me." She demanded.
Aiden somehow refused, staring at the wall longingly. Elsa rolled her eyes and lifted his chin so he could face her directly. She tapped his nose, saying, "Aiden. You can never hurt me. Do you know why?"
"No, I don't."
Elsa sighed, "You can't hurt me because you love me, and you can't hurt me because you promised you won't break my heart. In fact, you can never hurt anyone at all."
"But, baby, I don't know how to control—"
"Aiden, you've been hiding your powers from your dad. That's already more than control. But this time, you won't hide them anymore, okay? And I want you to change your perspective of them." Elsa favored, kissing his hand gently. Aiden smiled, burying his head on her shoulder, "Okay. But I'm not ready to tell anyone else yet. Elsa, my parents are coming here next week."
Elsa's eyes widened, "Oh."
"Don't worry, my mother likes you. She's actually a big fan of you, I mean, she wanted to meet someone who is also like us, and it excites her. She even described you in the letter 'charming and fascinating' and by that, you can already tell."
"Aw. That makes me feel special."
"Because you are."
"What about your dad?" She asked.
"I'll see what I can do." He sighed, holding the queen closer.
The scent of the queen tickled his nostrils every time he holds her closely, she smells like the freshly fallen snow and the epitome of beauty. He looked and gawked at her face, taking in every little detail.
Her deep blue eyes looked at him curiously, while he checked every spec of her face. Of course, being the Snow Queen, she had pale skin. He now knows the reason why whenever he caresses those adorable cheeks it's so smooth.
Pale skin, but rosy a bit on some point. Then, comes her nose. Oh, she had a cute little nose. It's one of the things he loved to kiss on her face.
Then, finally, her soft red lips. He just noticed, her lips would change color depending on the season or weather. If it's cold, it would be a dark red, if it's warm it would be a blushing pink.
He just noticed, there were two little pale not so visible freckles on her right cheek, and she looked so adorable looking at him strangely right now why was he staring at her so much.
"You've been staring at me like that for almost five minutes now." Elsa scowled.
Oh, so cute.
"Damn, you're so cute!" Aiden said, pinching her cheeks. "I don't know, you're sometimes cute, then you shift into gorgeous and daring, then you shift to sexy."
"W-what?" Elsa stuttered.
"Wouldn't you agree? You're so beautiful. You should know that. But, do you know what part of you that's really, really breathtaking?" He asked, sniffing her hair.
"What?" She asked for the second time.
Aiden bumped their noses, whispering.
"Your heart."
