The sunlight managed to pass through the thick fog surrounding Arendelle, marking a bright new day, even though it wasn't literally bright since it's autumn.
In a certain shared room, Anna faintly whispers against her sister's ear with a sly smile, "Psst, Elsa."
Elsa groaned, "Anna, go back to sleep."
"I can't. Aiden's awake, so you have to be awake. So you can kiss."
A faint smile could be seen forming on Elsa's lips, causing Anna to burst out laughing, "Hah, I knew it! Gotcha!" She laughed, wiping a tear off her eye, falling on the floor panting and smiling.
Anna found her way on top of her sister again, studying her sister's morning features. Elsa's lips were fairly red, her pale skin smooth and her platinum blond hair sticking out everywhere. Anna chuckled, "You are so cute in the morning."
Elsa whined, "In the morning only?"
Anna rolled her eyes, snuggling against her sister, "I'm just pulling your leg, you're cute always. Especially now. You're so adorable. I wonder how many times Aiden can make you blush?"
Elsa's eyes widened, signs of sleep fading away in her features, "Seriously Anna?"
Anna laughed, "Isn't it true? I saw the way Aiden kissed behind your ear. That's so sweet."
Elsa blushed madly, "I don't even know why he loves to make me blush or make me melt against him, it feels weird. In a good way."
"Isn't it a tingling feeling that makes you feel like you want to be in his arms?" Anna sighed dreamily.
"Ugh, I am not discussing my love life with my little sister," Elsa grumbled, getting up and began to fix her bed.
"But Elsa! I don't want to be up yet!" Anna lazily called out.
"It's either I roll you along with my blanket or you're spending a normal day?" Elsa threatened childishly, sticking out her tongue after her ultimatum.
"Second." Anna sighed, hopping off her sister's bed.
"That's what I thought." Elsa smiled gladly, beginning to fix her bed.
Anna smiled mischievously behind her sister, positioning herself. After a count of five, she pounced on Elsa playfully, causing both of them to land on the floor. Elsa shrieked, startled by the fall and the tight grip Anna had on her shoulders.
Anna laughed so hard, wheezing on the floor. Elsa looked at her for a moment before pouncing on her sister, rolling on top of her and ruffling her hair, joining the laughter. She hugged her sister closely, kissing her cheek lovingly.
"Good morning, sis." She smiled.
Anna replied with a grin, "Good morning to you too. Now get up, Aiden must be waiting for you for your next date!"
"Last I checked, I was the one encouraging my little sister to get up, and I went on a date with him just recently."
"Queen Elsa of Arendelle I order you to take a shower and meet your prince early seven sharp!" Anna mocked.
Elsa sighed, knowing she couldn't escape her sister's commands. She sighed in defeat and went to the bathroom, taking a bath.
Anna smiled in satisfaction, smirking mischievously. She dashed to the other bathroom, snickering quietly as she took a shower herself.
Meanwhile, Elsa had finished taking a bath, changed into a pale blue dress, fixing her hair into its signature French braid. She secretly created a snowy rose, beaming at how she perfectly imitated a legitimate one, then slipped it behind her ear.
She couldn't help but check every spec of her face in front of the vanity, putting on her snowflake symbol necklace, clasping it around her neck. She dug through her wardrobe to find her white stilettos resting on top of its box, her slipping them on, and closing her wardrobe.
A knock disturbed the silence.
"Who is it?" She asked gently.
"Oh, uh, good morning, Elsa. It's me, Aiden."
A faint blush went across her cheeks, hearing the prince's voice. Elsa's smile widened, opening the door with a delighted expression.
Aiden smiled at her, pressing a kiss softly on her lips, holding her hands tightly. Elsa flustered at the gesture, then Aiden asked, "So, uh, what shall we do before we have another day spent with the other European officials?"
Elsa pulled him outside, "Library."
"Not the-"
"Shh. Library." She whispered, pulling the prince to the large room occasionally filled with shelves that consisted ancient Norwegian books or Anna's favorite romance novels. Elsa preferred reading the books about geometry.
Although, the queen had decided to try a different book this time, one that would be specifically a book about baby names.
Aiden made himself comfortable on the maroon sofa that had its own front desk, waiting for the queen to sit down next to him. Elsa approached him, the book in her hands. Aiden read the title on the cover, "Baby names?" He curiously asked.
"I just want to know what our names mean," Elsa smiled. She flipped to the page section letter E, then found her name on the list with its meaning.
"Elsa. God is my oath." She then turned the page to the section for the girls 'A', searching for Anna. Her eyes finally found the name and laughed to herself quietly, "Anna. Graceful. How fitting." She rolled her eyes.
Aiden just stared at her laughing to herself, smiling and it reached her eyes. He pushed back a lock of Else's platinum blond locks behind her ear, gazing at her intently. He gazed at the white rose that peeked out proudly.
"I want to find out what yours mean, Aiden." She said excitedly, flipping into the page section letter A for boys, her eyes skimming the page. Then, she finally found what the name Aiden meant.
Aiden; little fire
"How interesting," Elsa said with a smile, flipping into a new page.
Aiden's eyes were still laid on the previous page, his brow sweating frequently. A part of him wanted to confess his secret to the girl beside him, but of course, his brain had always forbid him to do what his heart wants to.
But sometimes, what the heart wants to do is scary, and it will cause consequences only daredevils would dare to take.
He just shrugged off the thought before he scorch the carpet beneath them. He then looked at the necklace Elsa had around her neck, then looked at her eyes.
A match.
"Are you just going to stare at me for the rest of the day?"
No reply.
She found his eyes on her necklace, which trailed up to her eyes momentarily. She sighed out of sorrow, touching the metal snowflake pendant lovingly, "My mother gave me this necklace on my ninth birthday. It was a sign of acceptance and pride towards my powers. Sometimes, I would even wear mama's favorite scarf just to feel her again. When I saw a glimpse of her in Ahtohallan, I felt so alive and so happy to see her again... I miss my mother, Aiden.."
Aiden brought her close, bumping their noses sweetly out of comfort, kissing her forehead, he smiled, "Your mother would honor you if she was alive to this day. Imagine, having a daughter who strongly faced magical creatures, the fifth spirit of the Enchanted Forest, and a responsible queen to Arendelle, a great sister, and a great daughter."
Elsa smiled lightly at the prince who squeezed her hand, and she couldn't help but kiss his cheek.
Then, her eyes went to the golden locket that hung around his neck proudly, glimmering in the sunlight. She then grasped it, her touch tickling Aiden's chest.
"What a beautiful locket..." She whispered, stroking its elegant emerald that shimmered.
"Oh, this old thing? It's a gift from my mother too, not on my birthday though. She told me that she had hung this special locket around my neck ever since the day I was born. She knew what the future had set for me, so she had a picture in here of her to make sure I know that she's with me physically or not. My father likes to take me along to his summits, visits to neighboring kingdoms, and his other travels. When I was a child though, me and mother always spent time together." he smiled fondly, stroking the locket that had sentimental value.
Elsa stroked his cheek, which is oddly warm, "How sweet. At least your mother is alive."
Aiden caressed Else's hand, "To be honest, sometimes I only spend time with my mother so I can protect her around father. That woman deserves more than his slaps, his chokeholds, and his yells and insults. She deserves the world." He sighed, "I just want to be free from my father's clutches."
Elsa kissed his cheek lightly, "Hey now, don't cry. I didn't know a man could... Choke, his wife... Or slap his wife... Aiden, that sounds terrible."
"He does it in front of my face, too." He growled, his fists balling. Thankfully Elsa's hands weren't wrapped with them.
"He does it because of a stupid reason he even tries to call a reason. My mother is no witch, my mother is no demon. In fact, he deserves those names on his birth certificate."
"He called her those?" Elsa gaped.
"It's one of the many reasons why I don't even want to call him my father anymore... Just formally King Abaddon of the Northern Isles, that would be more fitting." Aiden huffed.
Elsa then bit her lip, "Um, Aiden, I do not want to sound insulting, but your father's name is Abaddon?" She asked carefully.
Aiden laughed, "I wouldn't mind about anything you say about my father. What is it, my queen?"
"The name Abaddon means ruin and destruction in Hebrew." She confirmed.
Aiden then broke into a heap of laughter, "Goodness, how fitting."
Elsa then placed her head on his shoulder, catching him off guard. He found his hand caressing her hair, leaning against her too.
"Well.... I guess it's time for us to go to breakfast." He smiled.
"I'm starving myself. Let's go, Aiden. I want bacon." She pouted.
Aiden laughed, "You're so cute when you're pouting."
Elsa bit her lip with a blush.
Aiden chuckled, "When you bite your lip too. Damn adorable."
