"Kuya naman.. Palagi ka na lang busy sa girlfriend mo. Hindi ba pwedeng ako muna ang intindihin mo?" I sighed as I heard him talking over the phone.
"Lexi naman. Minsan lang naman kitang hindi masundo diba? Patawarin mo na si kuya." he said, pleading.
Pinagpag ko ang dumi sa palda ko. Hays, ang hirap talagang umupo sa damuhan sa harap ng engineering building. Laging nagkakadamo ang palda ko.
"Ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ko? You always ditched me, kuya Dax. Pakiramdam ko ay wala ka ng time para sa kapatid mo.." I muttered. I heard him sigh on the other line, he don't have time with me since he had his girlfriend. Feeling ko tuloy ay mag-isa na lang ako.
"Don't worry Lexi, I called my bestfriend to fetch you up. Padating na jan si Drex." he said.
"Buti pa si Kuya Drex e, nandiyan palagi sa akin. Samantalang ikaw, lagi kang nand'yan para sa girlfriend mo. Nakakatampo ka na kuya Dax.." a hint of jealousy on my voice can clearly observed.
"Huwag ka na magtampo Lexi, babawi si kuya sa'yo. Okay? Hindi ko lang maiwan si Ate Sach—" I cut him off.
"Dahil napakanagger ng girlfriend mo. Bahala ka nga kuya, nakakabwisit. Ingat kayo, bye." I said as I ended the call.
Puro s'ya girlfriend n'ya, ano ba naman kung sunduin n'ya muna ako dito sa school at ihatid sa bahay bago s'ya magpaalila sa napakanagger n'yang girlfriend?! Naku, kung hindi ko lang talaga mahal 'yung kuya ko ay matagal na akong nagtanim ng sama ng loob sa kanya.
"Lexilei Venice Valdez!" I heard from distant. I saw Kuya Drex walking towards me. Kabababa n'ya lang sa kotse n'ya.
Drex Syril Marquez is one year older than me. I am seventeen and he is eighteen. Architecture ang kinukuha kong course, and I am on the second year level while si Kuya Drex ay 3rd year, Economics ang kinukuha. We were on the same school while my brother is now working.
My brother's name is Dax Vincent Valdez, he graduated Summa Cumlaude at the age of eighteen wearing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He is accelerated two years in advance kaya maaga s'yang nakatapos. Kung anong kinatalino ng kuya ko ay kina-opposite ko.
"What's with the face Lexi?" Kuya Drex asked. Paano ba naman akong hindi magkakaganito kung hindi ako iniwan sa ere ng kuya ko. He noticed that I wouldn't speak kaya nagdesisyon s'yang ayain ako mag-meryenda.
"Starbucks?" I nodded as he reached for my hand. Tinulungan n'ya akong makatayo sa kinauupuan ko.
We made our way to his expensive car and he opened the door for me, "Thank you." I said. I sat beside him as he sped off.
"Don't tell me you are upset with your brother again?" he asked and I nodded, "Don't be. Masyadong busy lang si Dax sa work. Besides he has his own life, try to understand." he said, comforting me.
"Kuya Dre—" my forehead creases as he put his index finger on my lips causing to interrupt what I am talking about.
"Stop calling me kuya, Drex na lang." he paused, "We can never be brother or sister. We can never be friends." I gaped.
The drive went smooth dahil hindi naman traffic. He is singing along with the radio and it is so comforting. Ang ganda ganda ng boses n'ya.
Pinagmasdan ko lang s'ya habang kumakanta, his long eyelashes, his pair of orbs that pierce every woman who glare at him, isama mo pa ang body type n'ya, and those precious lips. Ang gwapo ni Drex.
"Cheer up, Lexi. Nandito naman ako and I'll make you happy today." he said and I smiled.
Pinagbuksan n'ya ako ng pinto and the invigorating smell of coffee can be smelled. This is heaven, I really love the enticing aroma of coffee that awaken my senses.
"There." I cling my arms around his arm. He smiled at me, grabe, bakit ba ang perfect ng ngipin n'ya. That's why I hate men who has a perfect set of teeth. Pero it doesn't mean na magboboyfriend na ako ng bungal. Hell no, I just envy Drex so much.
"What do you want?" he asked me.
"Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino." I answered, happy.
He went to the counter to order for our drinks and desserts. I decided to get my phone on my bag when I heard the door slammed— loud.
I was mesmerized the way he walks, the way his adam's apple goes up and down, the way he makes butterflies in my stomach, and the way he makes my heart beats fast.
"Stefan.." I said, gawking at him. Kulang na lang ay tumulo ang laway ko dahil sa kagwapuhan n'ya. Kulang na lang ay mag-kart wheel ako everytime I see him and lastly, kulang na lang ay hubarin ko ang panty ko sa harap n'ya.
But of course, I wouldn't do that until he told me so. Edi, maghubaran kaming dalawa. Huhubarin ko ang panty ko pero dapat hubarin n'ya rin ang brief n'ya. So it would be fair..
I smiled devily, "Gosh, he is coming near me.." I murmured. My palms are sweaty dahil sobrang tense ako sa paglapit ni Stefan sa table namin.
He diverted his gaze as he spotted a vacant table beside us. Kulang na lang ay magtitili ako dahil napakalapit n'ya.
Nakapamulsa s'ya habang naglalakad and I really love the way he style himself. Ang angas! Ang cool! Ang porma!
"Lexi?" inayos ko ang pagkakaupo ko dahil nakatingin pa rin ako kay Stefan na nakaupo sa tabi ko. Magpapakademure muna ako dahil, ayaw ko rin naman maging bold sa feelings ko. Baka maturn-off s'ya sa pag-iimagine ko sa kanya.
"Okay ka lang?" Drex asked and I nodded. I breathe in and out dahil feeling ko ay kinikilig ako ng bongga dahil amoy na amoy ko ang pabango ni Stefan.
"Yes, I'm okay. Medyo nag-space out lang." I gave Drex a reassuring smile before I took a sip on my frappuccino.
"Cr lang ako, Lexi. Iwan muna kita dito hah?" he cajoled and I agreed.
Naka-order na pala s'ya, I thought. As I witnessed his adam's apple goes up and down whenever he is sipping his frappe.
Omg, ang swerte ng straw, sa isip ko.
I find it so sexy, 'yung adam's apple n'ya ang isa sa mga fetish ko. Scratch that, 'yung abs n'ya na nagbibigay buhay sa diwa ko. Kasama kasi s'ya sa swimming team ng school so I always saw him on his tight swimming trunks.
Kaya nga minsan, naiinis ako sa mga babaeng nanunuod ng event na sinasalihan n'ya. Nagseselos ako kapag pinagnanasahan nila si Stefan.
Gusto ko, ako lang..
Hindi ko namalayan na nakaupo na pala ako sa tabi ni Stefan and I am literally eye-raping this gorgeous man in front of me.
"Hi!" I beamed and he ignored me.
Maganda naman ako pero hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi n'ya ako magustuhan. Crush ko s'ya since I was third year high school until now na second year college na ako. Never akong nagkacrush ng ibang lalaki, s'ya lang talaga.
I can consider it as love na nga e. Kasi more than years ko na s'yang ina-admire.
He is wearing an earphones kaya pala hindi n'ya ako pinansin kanina, I make a swift move as I stole one of his earphones and put it on my ear.
He stared at me as if I was a criminal, "Share lang tayo, Stefan." I said, kinikilig.
Ewan ko ba kung saan ko nakuha ang lakas ng loob ko para magpapansin sa kanya. Pero naba-vibes ko na ito na talaga ang time para makilala n'ya ako.
No, ito na pala ang time para maglakas ng loob upang itanong kung pwede ko s'yang maging boyfriend.
"Can you be my boyfriend?" I asked with confidence.
Inalis n'ya ang earphone n'ya sa tenga at tumingin sa akin. I was nervous, hindi ko alam ang magiging reaksyon n'ya and I mentally pray na sana pumayag s'ya.
Nasa 21st century naman na tayo and I don't care kung ako ang gagawa ng first move. Pero ginawa ko na talaga, para na rin sa ikakatahimik ng kaluluwa ko.
It's better to say your feelings to your love ones, kasi if you don't have the guts, hindi mo hawak ang buhay ng isang tao, he can possibly die anytime..anywhere. Kaya siguro malakas ang loob ko na sabihin sa kanya ang nararamdaman ko.
"I don't need anyone. I don't need you and I don't give a fuck." he said as he splashed his frappuccino to my head.
The customer looked at us, grabe, ang sweet naman ni Stefan para gawin 'to sa akin. Ang sweet n'ya talaga..
Drex came in the picture and punched Stefan on the face. I don't know what to do dahil hindi ko alam kung sino sa kanila ang aawatin ko. No one wants to be defeated. Stefan threw a punch on his face—and Drex wiped the blood coming from his mouth.
Masyadong malakas si Stefan at napataob n'ya si Drex, "Fuck you!" he hissed as he kicked Drex on his stomach. On an instance, si Drex naman ang nasa ibabaw at pinagsusuntok n'ya naman si Stefan. Hindi sila maawat ng guards at hindi ko rin sila maawat.
"Stop please.." I whispered as they both stopped. I checked Drex' face at punong-puno ng dugo ang bibig n'ya. Pareho silang nakaupo sa sahig at ako ang nasa gitna nila. Hindi ko alam kung kanino ko ibabaling ang atensyon ko. Kay Drex ba or kay Stefan? I really don't know dahil nanginginig pa rin ang kalamnan ko dahil sa pag-aaway nila.
"You okay?" tanong sa akin ni Drex habang tinatanggal ang frappe sa ulo ko. He wiped it using his hanky. Hindi ko rin pala napansin na ganito ang itsura ko.
Stefan stood up and wiped the blood coming from his mouth. May galos s'ya sa kanyang pisngi and I couldn't help but to be worry about him.
"Ano ba kasing problema mo pare?!" Drex stood up and exchange stares with Stefan.
They have both blood stain on their shirts as I observed—and felt guilty.
"You want to know?" Stefan smirked as he diverted his glare to me, "She's mine. So fuck off!" he reached for my hand and dragged me hastily out of the coffee shop.
