Price House
"I've missed my son!" Ruth Price said as she hugged Josh as he and Bailey entered the house
"Missed you too mom! But I saw you in May," Josh said
"I hope you realize that's far too long," Mrs. Price said as Josh and Bailey sat down for breakfast with Tahani, Julian, and Mr. Price already seated "Well let's eat!"
"Oh, my mom makes the best French toast you have to try it, Bai," Josh said
"Okay!" Bailey said as she takes a bite of the French toast "Delicious Mrs. Price"
"Thank you, Bailey," Mrs. Price said
"Sucking up already?" Tahani joked as Bailey rolled her eyes at her
"How did it go at Bailey's?" Julian asked
"Super embarrassing," Bailey said "My sisters are here so they asked all these stupid questions before my parents arrived"
"Embarrassing?" Mr. Price questioned as Bailey froze not knowing how to answer "What did they ask?"
"Oh, just stuff like any embarrassing moments while living together like accidentally walking in on her in the shower" Josh covered up "But I thought it went fine"
"Yeah it did" Bailey smiled as despite all the uncomfortableness her sisters tried Josh kept her calm and even impressed her family
"Not bad bro," Tahani said "You're lucky mom and dad already met Bailey because I'm sure they would be tough on her"
"The only one that would be tough on me about dating anybody is you," Josh said
"That's true," Julian said "You were even skeptical of Bailey and she's your best friend, imagine a stranger"
"Remember when Josh dated that one girl in high school," Bailey said "You still were stubborn towards him but you were so much like a little sister as you didn't approve of her"
"Not true," Tahani said
"Very true," Mrs. Price said "I remember you 'tripped' and spilled coffee all over her one day Josh brought her over"
Everyone started laughing minus Tahani "If Kaycee was here she would back me up" she said
"Wonder how's that going?" Julian said
Lew House
"Kaycee," Sean said as Kaycee kept kissing him all over his face while holding him
"Yeah" Kaycee quickly said before resuming
"Can you let go?" Sean said
"No," Kaycee said
"But I want to eat," Sean said
"Come on I have to give you 26 kisses before your day starts," Kaycee said
"That's not a thing," Sean said as he knows Kaycee was just making stuff up as an excuse to stay with him
"Yeah you know birthday licks this is birthday kisses," Kaycee said
"But you passed 26 a long time ago," Sean said
"You hate me," Kaycee said as she stopped
"No! I'm hungry!" Sean said holding Kaycee so she won't get upset "We have a long day and I really need the energy"
"Yeah breakfast here then going to get picked up by our friends, you said you wanted to hike and see Paradise falls then get some Korean barbecue for lunch then explore City Walk then have a nice dinner with your family," Kaycee said recapping the day schedule for Sean's birthday
"Yeah and I don't know if you want to hike without food in your tummy," Sean said
"My tummy? How old are you now?!" Kaycee said with a laugh
"Who cares it's my birthday!" Sean said loudly as Kaycee laughed
After breakfast and hiking
Rental Car
"I'm never hiking again," Tahani said
"It was longer than I expected," Julian said
"But that view was so..." Bailey said
"Worth it," Sean said "And you have to admit it was beautiful"
"Yeah it was it made it worth it going up there," Tahani said "But not coming back down"
"You're being a baby right Josh?" Kaycee said
"No, I actually agree with my sister for once," Josh said "You two don't understand since you two are the most in shape but that was a long hike"
"They're babies," Kaycee concluded
"Big babies," Sean agreed
"Alright, are we going straight to lunch? Or-" Julian started to say
"Lunch!" Tahani said "Sorry for cutting you off"
"No problem," Julian said
"But I am starving! It took forever to get here and my breakfast burned off from the ride and the hike made me hungrier!" Tahani said
"Fine we'll go straight there," Josh said not arguing with his sister
"Good there's this cool Korean barbecue place I've heard of," Sean said sending Josh the address to GPS it
"That far?" Bailey said reading Josh's text containing the location since he was now driving
"Yeah but," Sean said pointing to the already sleep Tahani and Julian in the far back seat, "I think it'll be fine"
"Whatever you say," Bailey said starting the route for Josh to drive everyone
Hours later
"Maybe we shouldn't move back here" Kaycee whispered to Sean
"Why?" Sean said
"Traffic is really bad it feels worse than when we were kids," Kaycee said
"More people move to LA then LA people moving out the state," Sean said as he looked up to see Josh constantly looking in the rearview mirror "Whatcha looking at Josh"
"He's being a protective big brother," Bailey said with a laugh
"Oh, because Tahani and Julian are practically sleeping on each other" Kaycee said after seeing the sleeping pair were resting on each other "Why do you care so much? They like each other, and Julian's your best friend"
"I just don't want them getting too close if it doesn't happen," Josh said "For both their sakes not just Tahani's"
"I'm sure they'll work it out," Sean said
"Speaking of working it out," Bailey said, "When are you two going to reveal that you are planning on moving?"
"How did you know?!" Kaycee said
"You two can't whisper," Josh said
"We were just talking one day and we just missed LA," Sean said "Not saying we're moving next week or anything but talks have come up"
"Wouldn't you two like to come back?" Kaycee said
Josh and Bailey shared a look as they never talked about it "I don't really care" Josh said "I don't mind the cold weather and all that plus New York has just as much to do as LA depending on what you like, and I've had my own issues with LA"
"Issues?" Kaycee asked
"It's kind of like what you said years ago, Kaycee when you explained to us why you ultimately moved here," Josh said
"In LA the sun's always shining so a lot of people are shady," Kaycee said remembering her words years ago
"Yeah and New York is... meaner but at least it's honesty whereas here I never knew who to trust, mentors only teach you so they can profit off you, friends aren't really friends, competition is extreme," Josh said "Despite my loudness from time to time I'm a chill guy and I can be more chill in New York"
"I haven't lived there as long as you all have so I still want to experience as much as I can before making that kind of decision," Bailey said "Besides if he stays I stay"
"That makes sense," Sean said "I guess we want different things than you right now"
"Well kinda mentioning that but if you both move here do you plan on living separately or together?" Bailey asked
"Together why?" Sean said
"First time living together can be rough," Josh said, "Remember living with me, Sean?"
"Worst roommate ever" Sean joked
"It took years for me to get used to Tahani and my old roommate was nice but living with someone is different when you're dating," Josh said
"Yeah early on there was a sexual tension with me and Josh but after getting together I had to quickly grow used to his living conditions and vice versa," Bailey said "Like something like not doing dishes can be so much"
"I did the dishes!" Josh said
"Sloppily!" Bailey said as Kaycee and Sean laughed at the two "But yeah despite how natural it might seem moving in together is a big move"
"Maybe we should have a test run," Kaycee said
"Test run?" Sean said
"Yeah like maybe we should move in together... now?!" Kaycee said
"...Wow this is a big step" Sean said as he never realized until the moment was here how monumental this decision was "But I would like that"
"Well it's decided we'll move in together shortly after we get back," Kaycee said "A test run"
"A test run," Sean said
Korean Barbecue
"We don't usually do this but we got you a gift Sean," Tahani said reaching into her purse
"Guys we don't do gifts," Sean said
It was true the group of friends never gave each other birthday gifts
Bailey's since she was new to the city celebrated in the apartment
Julian's had a party and got gifts from friends and family but not from the other five
Tahani's was essentially dinner so nothing really physically given
Josh's was also party like but again no gifts were given
Kaycee just spent it with Sean and he gave her gifts but that's her boyfriend
"Well it was kind of last second," Bailey said as Tahani took it out her bag
"We just thought it fit you so well" Josh added as Tahani passed him the rolled-up shirt
Sean unrolled the shirt with Kaycee also curious as she had no planning with this gift
"I hate all of you," Sean said flipping the shirt around only for it to say 'CONFIRMED Kaycee is always right'
"I saw the shirt in the store and immediately thought of you," Josh said
"And this is why we don't do gifts," Sean said
"Well, I love it!" Kaycee said "I even think you should put it on now"
"But-"
"Yeah get out of that smelly shirt put on one with some style in it," Kaycee said
Julian makes a whipping noise as Sean gets up to head to the bathroom to change shirts "I still get bullied on my birthday" Sean said to himself
"I love the shirt but why?" Kaycee said
"Just for laughs," Bailey said
"Yeah, we don't get gifts but that was too good not to pass up," Julian said
"I hate how comfortable this shirt is," Sean said as he came back
"A Sean Lew approved shirt, that's surprising," Kaycee said
"Whatever let's just eat so we can walk around," Sean said
City Walk
"We're in one of the best places in the world we could have gone to Disney but you wanted to explore city walk somewhere where we've been to numerous times as kids," Josh said
"Oh shit, I forgot about Disney!" Sean said, "Let's go!"
"Wait really?" Tahani said
"Yeah, I missed Disney and I still haven't done everything since I've been gone and they even got new rides," Sean said
"Okay let's go to Disneyland," Bailey said
"Hopefully they have a birthday special" Julian added as they turned to get to the rental car
"That was quick and easy," Kaycee said as she and Sean were in the back of the group
"Well I'm not as indecisive as you," Sean said as Kaycee looked offended "Just speaking the truth babe"
"Remind me to beat you at any games there," Kaycee said
After Disneyland
Dinner
For Sean's birthday, they went to a higher-class restaurant to his mom's request which meant the squad had to change luckily, they all brought better clothes as Sean had a feeling they might have to dress up
Outside of the group of friends, only Sean's parents and sisters came for his birthday dinner as his surprise yesterday was his time with the rest of his family
They had all gotten their food and were making nice small talk especially between the family and friends as the friends wanted to know more about Sean's life before they met him and the family wanted to know about Sean since he moved
"I forgot to ask but you got Sean a gift right," Josh asked Kaycee next to him as currently, Sean's dad was telling a story about Sean and his sisters that Josh and Kaycee already know about "I mean you are his girlfriend,"
"Yep right here!" Kaycee said while pointing to her purse as she has no pockets since she's wearing a dress
"In your purse? Is it some kind of jewelry" Josh said as the purse was small and he couldn't think what could fit in there
"Kind of," Kaycee said wiggling her ring finger and it took a second but Josh understood
"Oh no"
"Oh yes," Kaycee said "Proposal time"
"You can't," Josh said almost panicky as he already knows about Sean's ring still in New York
"Why not?" Kaycee said not seeing the issue "I mean yeah it's fast but I think we're at that point"
"I just don't think now is the best time," Josh said "You wouldn't want to be the girl that proposes to her boyfriend"
"I do," Kaycee said "And you saw the shirt Sean was wearing earlier I'm always right"
Josh knew he was fighting a losing battle so he shifted to his girlfriend "Bai"
"Yeah? Sean performing with his sister as little kid is the funniest thing to blackmail Sean about" Bailey said repeating the story being told to the rest of the table
"Kaycee's about to propose" Josh whispered
"No!" Bailey said as she also knows about Sean's ring
"You need to find a way into her purse and hide the ring," Josh said
"On it," Bailey said as she whispers to Tahani about the plan
"Well, I'm about to head to the bathroom, girls?" Tahani said
"Sure," Bailey said
"Why not?" Kaycee said as she sees her friends going "Girls let's get in formation!"
The three girls got up and headed to the bathroom as Josh was texting Julian what was up
"I like her" Sean's dad said as that was now all four of his family members approving of Kaycee
"I do too!" Sean said as Josh and Julian shifted closer to him "What's up?"
"Just curious if there were any updates about your proposal plans," Julian asked
"There are," Sean said
"Really?" Josh said
"Yeah but I'm not telling you two now it can wait until we're back in New York," Sean said
"So soon?" Julian asked
"Soon," Sean said "I have a plan don't worry"
The girls after a bit came back with Kaycee's mood visibly lowered
"What's wrong Kayc?" Sean asked as the girls took their seats
"I had the perfect gift for you but I think I lost it!" Kaycee said really upset she couldn't find her ring for Sean
Meanwhile, Tahani passed the box to Julian who put it in his suit jacket inside pocket while Josh and Bailey high fived under the table
"Oh, you didn't have to get me a gift," Sean said raising Kaycee's lower chin "You're my favorite gift"
"Awwww!" Serris and Sarah said overhearing Sean's talk to Kaycee
"You're annoying!" Sean said as Kaycee giggled at the siblings
"Happy birthday!" Kaycee said kissing him
"Well that was the best gift given today," Sean said making Kaycee feel better
