"Stefan, Elena." Jeremy said.
"Vampires?" Elena said, "Been watching to many movies now have we?"
"No, Marni was just telling me how Damon and Stefan are going as vampires to the Halloween party next month." Jeremy quickly lied. For that, I was thankful.
"Really?" Elena said, smiling up at Stefan. "That shall be interesting."
"Indeed." Stefan said, still looking at me.
"Stefan, are you alright?" she asked.
"Hmm?" he said, turning towards her. "Yeah I'm fine."
"Well I'm going to get something to eat, coming?" she asked.
"In a sec, I just gotta ask Marni something." he said.
"Okay." she said, and walked out the door.
When the door closed, Stefan turned sharply to me.
"You told him?" he hissed.
"I had to!" I hissed back.
"Marni, your putting him in a lot of danger by letting him know." he said.
"You don't think I know that? It's not like I voluntarily told him, he saw me using magic." I said.
"And how did he see you?" he asked. Jeremy was on the bed looking back and forth from me and Stefan as if it was a tennis match.
"Me and Shadow-" I started.
"Shadow?" he hissed. "How many times have I told you to stay away from that guy?"
"Do you know him? No. So don't judge people Stefan." I said, getting defensive.
"Well considering what happened near Bree's bar, I have a right not to trust him."
"Well I have a right to trust him." I said.
"That's not important, what is, is that Jeremy knows." he said.
"As I was trying to tell you, me and Shadow were being chased-"
"Chased?" Stefan said.
"Shut up and let me finish." I said. "Chased by these guys who wanted Shadow dead and I had to use magic to get away from them and Jeremy happened to be standing there, watching the whole thing."
"What do you mean wanted him dead?" he asked.
"I don't know, I didn't have a chance to ask him, because Jeremy showed up." I said.
"So you decided to tell him everything?" he said.
"He has a right to know anyway, he's my best friend, he was gunna found out sooner or later anyway."
"And how do we know he won't go running around telling everyone?" he asked.
"Don't worry, I'm not scared or anything, so I have no reason to. Honestly, I think this is all pretty awesome." Jeremy said, speaking for the first time.
"See?" I said.
"Fine, but you can't tell anyone Jeremy, if you do our lives could be at stake." Stefan said, turning to Jeremy.
"I won't, I swear." he said.
"Are you going to tell Elena?" I asked after a silent pause.
"Well I'll have to eventually, but I'm afraid that she'll think I'm a complete monster." he said.
"She'll come through after a while." I said.
"I hope so." he said. "Well, there's only one thing to do now."
"What's that?" I asked.
"Tell Damon Jeremy knows." he said.
"Great."
I walked through the front door, nervous about how Damon would react.
"Damon?" I said.
He appeared in front of me.
"Yes?"
"I have something to tell you."
"And that is..?" he said.
"Well, Jeremy knows." I said.
"Knows what?" he asked.
"About us." I said.
"What about us?" he asked.
"Um, that we're not human?" I said, saying it more like a question than a statement.
"Oh, okay." He said.
He paused for a moment.
"What?!" he yelled.
"Jeremy knows." I said weakly.
"How could you let this happen?" he said.
He groaned and looked up.
"How much does he know?" he asked.
"Basically everything." I said.
"You know he's in danger, right?"
"Of course I know that! Do you think I did this on purpose? Do you think I want Jeremy to get hurt? I mean sure, I wanted to tell him, but not at the expense of him getting hurt. He found out because me and Shadow were getting chased and I had to use magic and Jeremy saw me use it. And now this has all turned into a mess and Jeremy is in danger." I said, putting my head in my hands.
"Look, it'll be fine." he said obviously trying to calm me down. "Wait, what's this about you and Shadow getting chased?"
I told him about what happened with Shadow.
"Do you know who it was?" he asked.
"No, but I do know that they're working for someone." I said.
"Hmm... interesting." he frowned in thought. "Back to the main subject, what are we going to do about Jeremy?"
"I don't want you to compel him." I said at once, knowing that would be his first idea.
"Will he tell anyone?" he asked.
"No." I said.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Can you trust him?" he asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Fine, but if he says anything..." he said.
"Don't worry, he won't." I said.
"Has Stefan told Elena?" he asked.
"No." I said.
"Is he going to?" he asked.
"Yes, but I don't know when." I said.
"Okay."
"You do know there's like two days until your birthday right?" he said after a minute of silence.
I groaned. "I hadn't even thought of that."
"What do you want?" he asked.
"A Dodge Charger 1975 version. Black preferably." I said.
"I'm not getting you a car." he said.
"Why not?" I whined.
"Because your only meant to be turning fifteen." He said.
I pouted.
"I'll get you one next year." he said. "What else do you want?"
"I don't know... Surprise me." I said.
"Okay."
I heard the front door open, and looked to see who it was. It was Stefan, Elena and Jeremy.
"Hey guys." I said. Jeremy looked wary.
"Hey." Elena said, while Jeremy and Stefan nodded.
"It's fine Jeremy, he understands." I said, talking about Damon.
He seemed to relax. "Good."
"I'm going to get a drink." Elena said.
"I'll come." Jeremy said.
As soon as they walked out the door, Lexi stormed through the front one.
"There you are Stefan, I've been looking for you for ages." She said. "Did you hear what Damon did?"
"What did he do this time?" Stefan asked.
Lexi started raging about what Damon. After she finished, Stefan turned to him.
"You can't do this." He said.
"Watch me." Damon said.
"Damon, you're going to put people in danger." Lexi said.
"As long as I get her back, I don't really care." he said. I knew he was just saying that to provoke her.
Lexi pinned Damon against a wall and bared her fangs, veins appearing around her eyes.
I heard a glass shatter and my head snapped towards the sound. Elena was standing in the doorway with a look of horror on her face.
"Well, this day has been pretty interesting." he said.
Elena let out a blood curdling scream.
