The door opens and someone grabs him pulling him inside the car. Then a hand suddenly cover his mouth before he even shout for help. Just when he is about to fight back the person who covers his mouth speaks. The voice is very familiar..
"Calm down James..."
"Wait.... What are you doing here Seolhyun?" James grabs Seolhyun's hands and turns his head around to face Seolhyun.
"Annyeong..." Seolhyun gives James a cute smile.
"What the hell are you doing? You scared the shit out of me. I almost punch you" James grabbing his chest and trying to breathe normally.
"Sorry.. I just wanted to surprise you.." Seolhyun give James a bottle of water.
"Thanks.. But what are you doing here at this time and how do you even know where I live?" James opens and drink the water.
"I heard that you come back from the tour more than a month ago, I tried to call you but the number is not active anymore.." Seolhyun replied.
"Oh, sorry.. I-I change my number.." James replied.
"I actually wanted to talk to you.."
"About what?" James asked.
"..um, let's go someplace more private.." Seolhyun replied.
"..okay, um well just outside is my apartment, if y--"
"that'll be great let's go" Seolhyun grabs James hands and goes out from the vehicle. "..oh, manager unnie just wait for me here, sorry.."
"Okay.."
"What? your manager is here?" James looks at the driver seat. "..oh, annyeong noona would you like to have a coffee inside?"
"I'm fine thank you.." the manager smiled.
"Come on, let's go.." Seolhyun drags James to the building.
When they arrive inside the apartment James opens the lights and went straight to the kitchen to prepare some snacks. Seolhyun take off her hat and mask, she looks around the apartment.
"Would you like coffee or juice?" James shouts from the kitchen.
Seolhyun walks to the kitchen.. "coffee would be great.."
Seolhyun sits in the table and she just watch James prepare the coffee and the snacks.
"Here, careful it's hot.. " James puts the cup of coffee in front of Seolhyun.
"Thanks..." Seolhyun takes a sip and the coffee quickly reach her soul.
"Wow, this coffee is great..."
James just smile then goes back to the kitchen counter to prepare another cup of coffee.
"Hey how do you know where I live?" James asked.
"We went to Happy Soul Club earlier to look for you but you are not there, so we ask the people there, and they give us your address.. then we went here but you're not home so we wait for you to come home.. " Seolhyun replied.
"I'm sorry..." James said.
".. where have you been? You went out on a date are you? I saw you got dropped off with that luxurious car.." Seolhyun asked.
"Oh that.. well first of all, I'm not dating anyone.. and it was Janghoon's car" James is pouring the coffee to the cup. ".. want some more?"
"No, I'm good.."
".. Janghoon? you mean Seo Janghoon? Why are you with him?" Seolhyun asks.
"Yeah.. um, we shoot Knowing Brothers earlier and he gave me a ride home.." James replied,
"..wait, are you a guesting on the show? when will it air?"
".. they told me August 6.. " James replied sitting down on the table.
"congrats.. im gonna watch that episode.." Seolhyun replied.
"Thanks.." James takes a sip on his cup of coffee. ".. by the way, are you even allowed to be here?"
"What do you mean?" Seolhyun asked.
"What about Zico? Does he know you are here?" James asked.
Seolhyun is about to have a sip of her coffee but she suddenly stops when she heard James' question. Her facial expression suddenly change, she was looking down to her coffee.
"Hey what's wrong?" James notices that Seolhyun's face went gloom.
".. it's actually about him.. our relationship.." Seolhyun can't make eye contact to James.
"oh... is everything okay?" James asks.
"It's not going well.. it's getting hard.. I don't know.." Seolhyun's voice is cracking, tears about fall off her eyes. ".. for the past couple of months everything keeps getting complicated, it's like we are getting more distant to each other.." Seolhyun can't take it anymore, she burst into tears.
James stands up and went around the table, he sits beside Seolhyun and comforts her. Seolhyun hugs James and she cries onto his shoulder.
"..shhh.. it's okay.. let it out.." James hugs her and patting her back.
James stay there hugging Seolhyun until she stops crying. After 15 mins of what seems like forever, Seolhyun finally stops crying.
".. I'm sorry.. y-your shirt is... so w-wet.." Seolhyun said wiping her face.
"oh.. it's okay, I'm going to sell this shirt to your fans anyway, how much do you think it will cost?" James said. Seolhyun pouts and glares at him. ".. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.. come here". James put his arms around her and wipe her eyes.
"Do you still have more tears left in there?" James asked. Seolhyun elbowed James. "..ouch! okay, back to serious.. Okay listen, I think the two of you are in so much pressure.. I mean your relationship is public, everyone knows it and at the same time both of you two are on the peak of each other careers. You both need to deal with expectations you know, expectations from the agency, from the fans... from everyone else around you. Look, it's hard because the two of you have a very busy career, you both worked very hard to reach the place your in right now. The two of you are like a power couple to the eyes of the public, I think maybe unconsciously both of you are trying to maintain be that kind of couple. You know what, you two should sit and talk about this, don't hide it to one another, I'm sure you're not the only who is having a hard time he is too. I can't say that I fully understand your situation you are in right now nor I have much experience, but what I'm trying to say is don't be scared to confront each other. The only people who can fix your relationship is the two of you, talk it over, be open to each other..".
Seolhyun is just listening quietly to James. She realize that everything he is saying is actually makes sense. Seolhyun sits straight and looks at him with a smile on her face.
".. thank you"
James gives her a smile and pats her head. They proceed to finish their coffee and talk about some things. After 15 minutes Seolhyun decides it's time to go home. They go down back to the car.
"Thank you again James.." Seolhyun hugs James, ".. I can always count on you"
"Well what are friends for?.." James said.
"Yeah right, you didn't even call me when you cameback.." Seolhyun push him a little and pouts.
".. uh... um.. when I heard about you and Zico, I thought that I don't want to disturb the two of you.. you know... he might... you know.." James scartching his head.
".. I'm just kidding.. I understand.." Seolhyun replied.
"So.. are you still thinking about that night?" Seolhyun smirks.
".. what? no..., well sometimes.." James blushed.
Seolhyun holds James' hand and smiles.. ".. me too"
"eh.. really?"
"you know what.. if ever we met first.. i think you will be my boyfriend... and maybe right now we were in your bed and I'm kissing you.. while I'm on top of you" Seolhyun give him a wink. James blushed so hard. ".. look at you, you are so red again. You are still the same" Seolhyun smiles and pinch his cheek.
"..anyway, I have to go.. thank you again, I owe you one" Seolhyun gives him one last hug.
James opens the door of the car.. "No problem. Hey, just please talk to him okay?"
"I will don't worry. But if it doesn't go well and we break up.. Can you be my boyfriend?" Seolhyun asked with a naughty smile.
"Off you go.." James pushed Seolhyun inside the car.
"Ouch! okay okay, I'm kidding.."
"Hey fix it okay?" James raised his eyebrows.
"Yes sir.." Seolhyun replied.
"Oh noona this for you, sorry for waiting long.." James give a box of cookies to Seolhyun's manager. "..you don't have to but thank you James" Seolhyun's manager replies.
"Drive safe noona.. and sorry for this kid.." James and the manager laughs.
"Yah!!" Seolhyun pouts.
"It's okay, I know it.. and I thought you are the only who can help her. Anyway we should go now before she cries again.." the manager replied.
"Yeah she has a huge reserve of tears.."
"I'm seriously gonna cry again if you two don't stop.." Seolhyun said.
"Okay bye now, see you" James gives Seolhyun a smile before closing the door.
They drove off and James went back to his apartment.
Two weeks has passed, James just went back to his apartment after his work at Happy Soul club and made it in time for this week's episode of Knowing Brothers. This day is where they will air the episode he is in. While watching the episode he can't stop to feel embarrassed to himself after he saw how nervous he is. James wonders what will his family reaction if they found out that he is in the show.
When the show is over James received calls from Seolhyun where she told that the episode was hilarious and he did a great job, she also mentioned that her members also watch it. Then he received calls from Haejoo and her family, they didn't expect to see James in the show, well he didn't inform anyone. He also receive calls from Shinyoung, Junho, and the casts of the show, congratulating him for a great episode. Then he receive a call but it's from an unknown number..
"Hello?" James picks up the call.
"Is this James L/N..?" the person on the phone asked.
"Yes, may I know who this is?" James asked.
"Hyung! It's me Jungkook!"
"OH! Yo what's up? you finally call" James is happy to know it's Jungkook.
"Hyung I'm so surprised to see you on Knowing Brothers.."
"Oh you watched it? God it's embarrassing.." James closing his eyes reminding what he looked like when he is nervous at the show.
"Yeah we just finish watching it. Hyung that impressions is so hilarious!" Jungkook said.
"Wait.. we? your girlfriend?" James jokingly asked.
"No hyung! the members.." Jungkook replied.
"Really? wow thanks" James replied.
"Although hyung they didn't believe me when I said we are friends"
"Haha really? well tell them we are friends--" James replied.
"Hyung hold on..." Jungkook puts it in loud speaker mode. "...Hello hyung they want to talk to you"
"Hello? James hyung?" Jimin is speaking.
"Annyeong! Yeah it's me.." James speaks.
"Oh... it's him.." Jimin said to other members.
James can hear the commotion happening on the other line.
"Ask him to do the voices to see if it's really him.." Someone said.
"..uh.. hyung we have a favor to ask.." Jimin asked.
An idea popped in James head... "EY! waddup homie! Cuel es tu favor para preguntarle amigo?". James did an african american and mexican voice impressions consecutively.
BTS members on the other line burst into laughter. James can hear the laughter and screaming.. the whole commotion on the other side and he can't help but to laugh too. "Yah.. my phone..." he could hear at least Jungkook's voice in the mess.
"Hello hyung... you still there?" Jungkook asked.
"Yes yes, what happen? " James asked laughing.
"Well, you kill most of them.. Jimin hyung, Hoseok hyung and Seokjin hyung are on the floor and dying from laughing" Jungkook replied. "...Hyung.. talk to him he is good in English" Jungkook hand over the phone to Namjoon.
"Hello? Oh man you are so funny!" Namjoon said.
"Thank you!" James replied.
"By the way, are you available tomorrow? It's our rest day tomorrow and maybe we can hangout.." Namjoon asked.
"Sure, that'll be great. I want to meet you guys." James replied.
"Yah! stop speaking in English! Our nose are bleeding!" Jimin shouts.
"Aish.. shut up.." Namjoon kicks Jimin. ".. anyway we'll see you tomorrow. Jungkook will give you the address of the place" Namjoon said and hands the phone back to Jungkook.
"So, hyung see you tomorrow, I will text you the address" Jungkook said,
"Okay sure, thank you" James replied.
"Bye hyung, see you tomorrow!"
After a few seconds James receive a message from Jungkook. It contains the address to what seems like the dorm address of BTS.
"This looks like their dorm address.. oh well that's better since they can't be seen in public that much. Hmm, maybe I should bring food for them" James goes to the kitchen to see what he can cook for tomorrow.
"I'm not sure if they would like this..."
