Chapter 26
"Lyric...Oh My God Hun" Sam said running at me and encasing me in a big hug,
"I'm alright Sam"
"I'm so sorry. About the accident and you being in a coma and your Dad and..." She squeezed me tight. You've probably all guessed that this is the first time Sam has seen me since the accident and the death of my Dad.
"Sam honey, Rics is okay, enough with the smothering" Joel said. That was a lie as I'm doing my upmost hardest to try and keep it together right now. She let go of me,
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry" She said, stepping back,
"How's Nic doing? Is he back at home yet?" I asked trying to get my mind off it.
"He's doing very well and yes he's at home now, it was bit of a scare, but he's okay"
"That's good," there was an awkward silence then Sam said,
"Lyric, I really am sorry about everything that has happened, if there's anything...", She started, I walked off as I began to cry, "Rics...I..."
"Sis'" Joel said "Sam, I'll be back in a minute okay". He came over to me, I hugged him,
"Sorry, I'm not meaning to be rude" I sobbed,
"Sssh its okay, do you want me to ring Kane?" he said, I shook my head, he sighed,
"Well I am and I'll drop you home okay," I sniffed,
"I love you Joel",
"I love you too," He put an arm around my shoulder and we walked back over,
"Lyric, I'm sorry" Sam said, she looked more upset than me, I hugged her, Joel went off to ring Kane. Sam and I moved and sat on a wall by the car,
"Well I ruined today didn't I" Sam stated, I smiled
"Yeah you kind of did" I replied,
"Sorry"
"Sam, enough with the sorry, we'll meet up this week and have a girly day"
"I like the sound of that"
"Come on you two, lets go," we got in the car and Joel drove home, Kane came out the door as we pulled up,
"Thank you Joel, see you later," I said "Text me Sam" and I got out the car and ran over to Kane and jumped in his arms,
"Come on bubba, lets go have some fun to get your mind off of things," he scooped me up and I wrapped my arms around him tightly,
"What do you have in mind?" I asked,
"Well, I was thinking we could maybe make a cake or some brownies. I don't know"
"BROWNIES" I shrieked,
"I take that as we're making brownies," I grinned and he put me down on the counter, I sat kicking my legs, "So, what do we need then?" I laughed
"My 22 year old fiancée doesn't know what ingredients we need to make brownies"
"Erm, Yep," I laughed again. I jumped off the counter,
"Chocolate and lots of it, butter I think, or margarine I don't think it matters, flour, erm sugar and yeah...that'll do..."
"Does my 19 year old fiancée not know the ingredients of a brownie" Kane said, I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Whatever"

30 minutes later...
"Erm...it looks like poo" I said, he put his finger in it, and flicked it at me "KANE" I shrieked,
A full on brownie fight then happened, I was covered in brown goo and so was he, there was definitely more on us than there was in the bowl,
"What in hell has gone on in here?" we span around. Cole and Kasey were stood there. Honesty I swear they still live here.
"Well, we had a fight with the brownie mixture and...it kind of won" I said,
"We can tell..." Kasey laughed,
"Cole, brother of mine..." Kane started,
"Yes we'll make you some brownies, if you go and clean yourself up" Cole interrupted
"Thanks Bro, thanks Kas' but that wasn't what I was going to ask. I was going to ask you what you were doing here "
"Oh yeah, we thought we'd come by and see how you all were, plus its kind of lonesome at our flat,"
"Okay, I'm not complaining, your the ones making the brownies"
"Love you both" I said, jumping on Kane's back as we darted out the kitchen and up the stairs.
"I'll run the shower yes?" Kane said,
"Ew, I want to have a bath"
"I'll run the bath then," I smiled,
"Showers fine babe,"
"Aw what..."
"We'll have one tomorrow" I said
"Tomorrow tomorrow I love ya tomorrow" Kane sang,
"Baby are you singing from Annie"
"Sure am," I laughed, undressing down to my lingerie,
"Come on handsome," I chuckled, dragging him into the bathroom and shutting the door.

"We're clean and ready for some brownies" I beamed,
"I even washed my hands with soap" Kane said, I burst out laughing, Cole and Kasey rolled their eyes with smirks on their faces.
"Brownies are on the side cooling..." Cole told us,
"We made you ones with white chocolate chips in" Kasey said,
"Thank you so much. I love you both loads" I said happily, throwing myself at them and hugging them,
"Anything for you Hun" Cole said,
"Yeah, what he said" Kasey told me, I smiled.
"Thanks for saving me Bro,"
"Any time Kane" They left the room and we ran over to the brownies, I picked one up and bit into it,
"Ahhh, shit...shit...shit..." I groaned, "I think I just burnt my whole mouth, let alone my tongue"
"Erm Baby girl, they did say they were hot"
"Alright clever clogs," he pulled me in and kissed me, linking his tongue around mine, and caressing it, when he pulled away he smiled,
"There, all better," I smiled back,
"Everything is always all better when I'm with you"
We took 2 brownies each on some kitchen towel and went into the sitting room. We're not pigs by the way; we left enough for everyone else to have one. We slumped on the sofa and began feeding each other. Gosh Cole and Kasey cooked like flaming Angels, because their brownies tasted like heaven.
"Kane Baby, why can't you cook like this?" I asked, running my fingers along his lips, he took my hand away from his lips,
"I can and I'll cook you dinner tomorrow, we'll have a romantic night in. A bath lit with candles, with you and me in of course and I'll cook us a three course meal"
"Mmm, I like the sound of that". He leant in and kissed me, "l love you"
"I love you more Baby girl". This day was going amazing, apart from the minor blip at the beginning but I mean, what day goes smooth all the way through. Definitely not this one.
1 hour later Wyatt had returned back from where ever it was he was at. He'd indulged in a brownie and had joined us in the sitting room where we were playing on Mario kart. Well I say playing, Kane and Wyatt were ganging on up on me and kept pelting me with red shells or leaving a trail of banana peels for me to slip on,
"Guys, you are such cheaters, stop ganging up on me" I whined
"We're not, you just suck at this game"
"Oh do I now, right then," I turned my game face on which made them all laugh, I stuck my tongue out at them and turned to the screen.
5 minutes later...
"Wooooo. I win...yey" I said punching the air,
"Yes, only because we let you" Wyatt said,
"No you did not. I well and truly whipped your arses"
"Okay, whatever you say Baby girl"
The doorbell rang just as I crossed the finish line last in our race. Yes I was back to my suckish ways.
"Is anyone going to get the door?" I said,
"Cole and Kasey can get it" Kane replied,
"Do you really think they can hear the door from upstairs, probably doing God knows what to each other"
"You think about our brother having sex" Wyatt said, I laughed,
"Trust you to say that, no...I was just saying". The doorbell rang again; I sighed and got up, only to be pulled back down by my waist by Kane,
"Kane" I pouted "Whoever's at the door will get mad," he grinned,
"Let them" I rolled my eyes and jumped up, heading to the door, it rang again,
"I'm coming. I'm coming, chill out" I called, opening the door. Lily was stood there in a tight and I mean skin tight slutty dress, which was so far up her body I was too afraid to move my eyes from her face in case I saw something nasty. Her hair looked like she'd honestly been dragged through a hedge backwards, and the height of her heels, jeez! ...
"What is it Lily?" I said, she laughed, it was drunk giggle. Oh great, I was about to call Kane and Wyatt when she said,
"I heard about your Dad," I looked at her, she smiled "Tough luck" I clenched my teeth, I went to shut the door but she stopped it,
"You're stinking drunk Lily, so piss off before you say something you'll regret"
"You know you're a heartless selfish bitch," She slurred,
"And you're going to be a dead little skank in a minute" A voice from behind me said, I turned to see Kane and Wyatt. I hadn't even heard them come up behind me,
"Oh, your dick of a boyfriend always has to come and protect you"
"You better watch yourself Lily. I suggest you leave now" Wyatt said,
"Oh hey baby, I didn't see you there, your just as fucking bad as them too," Kane and Wyatt's knuckles tensed. This wasn't going to end well. "Anyway back to your Daddy, he was...he was...hang on" She took off her heels, "Ohhhh...so much better, oh yeah, he was a..." I slapped her before she could continue, I slapped her hard and sharp, she laughed,
"Youuuu bitch" She slurred, and was about to strike me with her heel when Kane stood in front of me and ripped them from her hands,
"You know something Kane...wellllllll...you aren't always going to be there to keep her safe. She has to learn stand up for herself...laters y'all" She blew us a kiss, "You can keep my shoes,"
"Baby girl go inside, we'll be in, in a minute" Kane said,
"No"
"Please..."
"Kane..."
"Please" I sighed but went into the house, looking back to see Kane and Wyatt go after Lily. God she was a bitch drunk, well I always thought she was a bitch sober but yeah. How dare she come over and start saying stuff about my Daddy and what she said to Kane about him not always going to be there me to keep me safe and that I've got to stand up for myself. Was that a sly hint to say she's going to hurt me?Or someone's going to hurt me?

Kane's POV
"Oi you fucking slutty cow. How dare you come to our house stinking drunk and start mouthing off my fiancée, her Dad and my brother, you're a disgrace to the human race"
"Whatever Kane. I honestly don't care what you're saying. I mean why would I?"
"And we left it as us being friends" Wyatt said "Well, I hope I never see you again. I hope you spend the rest of your life alone and depressed, if you can stoop as low as you have"
"Wyatt, you may be as fucking bad as them, but the thing is I still looooooove yoooooooou," she laughed, "Take care boys and keep Lyric safe yeah,"
"If you touch her" Kane said,
"Who said it'll be me touching her, byeeee" and she skipped off, swaying and laughing. I did everything in my power not to go after her and well and truly make sure she never set foot around here again,
"Wyatt, if she or anyone else lays one finger on my Baby girl, I think I'll be in prison for good"
"I'll be in there with you" He said, "I'll be in there with you"
