Chapter 5: The last day of school

Diana's POV
I walked faster away from my class by second , the last bell of this year had just gone off and I was heading straight for the doors before particular talking caught my attention
"And suddenly I become a man" Stan said infront of me being answered by his friend - the schools trashmouth Richie Tozier replied quickly
"I can think of funner ways to become a man"
I shook my head at the boys inappropriately joke and internally laughed to myself before skipping infront of the four.
"You mean more fun" I Corrected walking past them
"H-have a-a nic-nice summer " bill called out to me- which shocked me as I have no classes with the boy and know of his existence due to the tragedy of his little brother
"Uh yeah you too man" I said still walking in front , only to have Stan rush up by me
"Hey D, wanna sign my yearbook?"
"Um sure, but it's-"
"Man you're talking to the hot cheer leader ! I'm jealous !" Richie budded in "Hey are you trying a new fashion cause I've stared at you plenty of times and this look is new.. I think digging the whole bad girl vibe though"
"H-hey Beep beep Richie " the three boys said in unison
"I'm Not Dana! It's Diana.." I trailed off abit disappointed
"Huh I could've swore?" Richie was cut off
" I know ! That's why I asked for your signature " laughed Stan holding out his book only for Richie to scoot his in
"Hey mine too ! Diana , Danielle or Dana I'm so in for a females name written on my tree baby" rolling my eyes I took out a pen and neatly signed Stan's before signing richies and turning the Top of my "I" into a heart before quoting my favorite justice league line . As I was about to walk away I heard Richie whisper under his breath
"We have both looked into the abyss but when it looked back at us, you blinked?" He questions before realization hit his face "sexy and she watches justice league . Wait up doll face!" He called out "walk with us !"
And that's how I ended up emptying my old supplies into a trash can next to the guys
"Best feeling ever " Stan says pulling his bag back
"Yeah? Try tickling your pickle for the first time" Richie says earning a pop from bill
"Ah-Shut u-up Ric-Richie ,there I-is a girl h-here you know!"
"It's okay guys I really don't care, it's kinda funny" I laughed at their shocked faces. Before my little sister ran up and hugged me from behind "hey Day" I said casually as The short boy , bill , and Richie gaped at the scene infront of them
"Eddie pinch me if this is a dream, but I believe I'm seeing double. It's not possible to see two doll faced girls at once right ?" He stared while the short one fumbled with his fanny pack
"Um they are twins guys, y'all didn't know?" Stan questioned confused by the reaction causing us to burst out in historical laughters
"Bruh seriously " I said with a smug face "they thought we were the same person , like hell I'd hang out with the crowd you do" Dana rolled her eyes
"Oh shut up , so whatcha guys doing now that we are all best friends" She wiggled her eyebrows making the boys blush "we don't bite , or maybe you're just embarrassed cause you didn't know I had a sister, it's kinda crazy though because we have litterally been partners in social studies five times bill"
"I-I'm So-sorry" he stuttered out
"I'm joking don't worry guys, we aren't bitchies " my sister said grinning
"Well I'm kinda surprised that whoever had enough balls to date bowers wouldn't be a bitch " Richie said making me glare at him , bill slap him and Dana tighten her hands around me
"We-we aren't dating anymore , it's complicated" she muttered making the boys look away awkwardly
"Oh my bad, but personally I think you can do better than a mullet wearing hillbilly "
"Exactly what I said" I replied high fiving Richie and coughing away the conversation strain..
"Anyways .. so what do you guys want to do tomorrow?" Eddie said swallowing his spit , now that he had tamed his breathing .
"Well I'm going to start my training" Richie cockily chanted
"Training?" We all countered confused
"What ? I didn't know masterbating was a sport " I giggled at my own joke and heard stand snort at my joke
"Haha very funny sexy , but not quite if you wanted to watch me though I don't think I'd mind" he flirted causing me to gag "but seriously it's for street fighter!"
"Is that how you want to spend your summer " Eddie asked with a 'are you serious face' "at an arcade"
"Beats spending it inside of your mother, ohhh" the four eyed boy said holding up his hand expecting a high five that no one gave him
"Hey one time I thought Diana died or ran away but turns out she was just binge playing at an arcade " My face heated up at her confession , Richie held up his hands to me
"How are we not soulmates? Like baby I think I'm in loveee" he said dragging out the E
"I think you're not about to have teeth if you don't shut up " I replied with squinted eyes
"Feisty just how I like hm'" he growled making me burst out into laughs ,
"You're retarded dude "
"I'll take that as a compliment " he said smirking as the other boys rolled their eyes
"B-back to your-r question , Eddie w-we have to s-still g-go to the Barnnes.." bill said
"Why would y'all go there?" Dana questioned almost reading my mind , but from the look on eddies face I wish we would've just stayed quiet
"T-to fi-f-find George-ie " he said confidently
"Count us in" nodded Dana, flicking the back of my skull before I could reject , astonishment crosses his face before he agreed
"Th-Thanks, the more -the -the Marrier "
"Nice , now we get to watch two babes play in dirty water " joked Richie elbowing Stan before earning a cold stare from Stan
"Beep beep Richie !"
Inside I felt every happy about hanging out with other people but I felt my nerves kicking in slowly , I looked down at my watch them back up "well we have to go for now but we will see y'all tomorrow right ? Just give us a call and we will meet you there or like we can give one of you direction to the house" I squeaked out
"Wait but we will need your number for that," Eddie bellowed
"Oh here," Dana took a pen out her pocket and handed it to me as I approached Richie and neatly wrote our home phone number on his wrist
"Niceee" he said holding up hid hand in admiration " well damn I guess this means welcome to the losers club"
"Bye guys !" We called out walking away , however before we walked very far I saw browers and his group approach the losers , I yanked on Danas wrist to stop and she gave me a curious look before seeing what sight infront of her .
" I mean the barrens aren't that bad, who doesn't like splashing around in shitty water?" Richie said sarcastically before his empty backpack was yanked and he was thrown into Stan - who was behind him.
"Nice frisbee flamer " Patrick said picking up Stan's Kippah and throwing it into a moving bus. "Fucking losers"
"Are you kidding me?" Dana says rage in her voice as we watch the scene unfold , poor Eddie gets burped on , and Henry approached Bill with a murderous glint .
"Come on we need to get over to them" I reasoned snapping her into reality , as we unchained our bikes and started walking back over
"Loser" they said walking away
"Y-you s-s-suck Bowers!" Bill defended earning a shut up from Richie , as Henry's group stopped walking and turned around
"D-d-did you s-say something Bill-billy " he mocked "you got a free ride this year because of your little brother and -" he stopped himself but continued " rides over Denbrough , and you're lucky I don't break your neck for talking to my girlfriend "
"Leave them the fuck alone Henry , and for the record I broke up with you" Dana rages pushing him away from Bill
"So what, now you're just going to defend your new boyfriend huh! Huh slut" says Patrick earning a sharp glare from Henry
"You're chicken shit" she whispers looking at Henry's eyes then flashing them back to Patrick "and go back to the asylum of a home before mr bowers over there catches y'all" she snapped making Henry's eyes widen and face go cold.
"Shut up Dana, next time you won't be there to defend these losers or your freak of a sister " he spat "watch your backs nerds" he threatened before they older boys walked away towards Patrick's car
"That was kind of bad ass Day" I complimented
"She just saved us from an ass beating whispered Eddie to Stan loudly
"Still not as hot as my dollface but close " Richie joked slinging his arm around me , that I of course knocked off
"I-I c-can't be-believe you D-dated that asshole" I looked at my sisters seemingly normal face and picked up on the sadness behind her eyes
"Me either " she grumbled lifting her yellow bike off the ground , offering Bill a nice smile
"Here, " I handed Eddie germ X , "that's the best I can do for your face , no idea what it for to the face skin but it's better than that bitches herpes "
"Thanks" he sighed in relief
"Hey I wouldn't mind your herpes Diana baby"
"Oh shut up trashmouth"
"So where does everyone live ? Maybe we can ride the same way and just split off " thought Eddie outloud earning an agreed huff from the group
And as we rode home with the group ,
I came to realize my anxiety felt like it was gone.. it was as if the world had been taken off my shoulders when we were riding through the streets , and passing by the sky's of orange ..
Maybe .. just maybe I'd enjoy having friends
