Third Place

Brother Reveal by YvonneKindle

Grammar: 5

Cover: 9

Characters: 5

Plot: 8

Total: 27/30

Praise:

It's amazing how Hatrhed's journey is played out in Brother Reveal. YvonneKindle understands that everything is a step by step process and nothing should therefore be sped through. All of it pays off in the end, though, when the pieces come together. YvonneKindle also manages to make everything easy to understand even without full knowledge of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (bonus points there)! ~Rachel

I like your ability to switch from the unique dialogues of different time periods. It not only differentiates the time zones, it also shows character development, creating a rich and entertaining story. ~Lara

Second Place

A Future Without Fear by bloodbrothers1864

Grammar: 5

Cover: 9

Characters: 5

Plot: 9

Total: 28/30

Praise:

I love how A Future Without Fear dives deep into the supernatural world. It clearly captures the familiar characters from the Vampire Diaries and forms an action-and-romance-filled plot with equal parts of each to balance everything out. There are no filler characters; everyone has a significant role to play (especially Damon as jester/comic relief). Although there could be more descriptive imagery to set some of the scenes, I have no doubt that readers will bulldoze their way through this book! ~Rachel

I applaud bloodbrothers1864's expert use of dialogue and monologue to move the story forward. Dialogue and monologue are important in character diversity and bloodbrothers1864 hit this spot on. It's clear you know the character's very well. ~Lara

First Place

Priceless by Starelf555

Grammar: 5

Cover: 9

Characters: 5

Plot: 10

Total: 29/30

Praise:

There's something so addicting about Priceless. It's hard not to binge the whole thing and then deflate because the story hasn't ended yet. The story flows smoothly, paying attention to the most important details but never overdoing it. I love the aesthetic that you did with the cover (thank you for leaving Stephanie's face to our imagination). The characters, band member or commoner, each have their own quirks, especially CC. Trust me, this book is really, really addicting. ~Rachel

I enjoyed the rich conversations between characters and the effort you put into making Billy/Steph the memorable character she is. I really loved this book. ~Lara
