"Thank you so much for designing my outfit for the hip-hop show." Lonnie gushes. I wasn't even a part of the planning, it was all Evie and Mal. I'm here cause I'm a supportive friend. Na, it's just that Ben's busy. Jordan however, no idea why she's here
" Of course! Our pleasure." Mal sounds genuinely happy to do this. It's gonna take some getting used to.
" You're gonna be so wicked on my web show." Is that why Jordan's here?
" You're saying 'wicked!'" I look at her in shock when my brain takes in the words. "I like that."
" Wicked's good now, right?"
" Of course, it is." I raise an eyebrow at Mal.
" I just have one question for you, guys." Lonnie starts.
"What's up?"
" Why are we making my dress in the science lab?"
"Great fashion is cutting edge." Evie answers
" Right?"
"So, what's more cutting edge than creating chemical compounds?" oh now I might have to pay more attention.
"You guys said that you wanted to look fierce, right?" Is Jordan getting an outfit. I honestly can't let this go.
" Super fierce!" Jordan agrees
"But also welcoming!"
"That's us!" Mal shouts and I continue as we group together
"Fiercely welcoming."
"What do you think?" Mal nudges me and I hand Lonnie the tablet.
"I like it!"
" But I think we can make it even fiercer."
"Jordan calm down,"
"And friendlier."
"You know what? I think we have just the thing. Evie?" Evie picks up a test flask with a blue liquid.
"Nuclear waste?!" Lonnie gasps
" No!" Evie looks mortified
"Well, not anymore." I poke the glass.
"This is gonna make your dress glow in the dark." Mal explains
"Dark - white." I use hand movements for the shades. "What is more fiercely friendly than that?"
"I love it,"
"You want me to perform in the dark?" Lonnie seems to be on a completely different page to Jordan.
"Trust us. With this stuff you'll bring the house down." Evie holds up the blue liquid and I move away.
"Or burn it down." I'm now safely on Mal's right.
"Just stay away from liquid nitrogen"

Jordan is out on the stage shouting whist I prepare Lonnie
"Want some, Auradon?"
"Are you ready for some awesome Lonnie hip-hop dancing extravaganza?"
"I can't hear you!"
"I still can't hear you!"
"Okay, that's too much."
"I have sensitive eardrums."
"I might be dropping the mike on the stage!"
"But Lonnie's about to drop the mike on you-o-u."
"Go. Good Luck," I whisper pushing Lonnie on the stage. I walk around the back to meet with Mal and Evie.

"Are we sure that this is gonna work?" Mal asks
"No. But we like living on the edge."
"Yes, we do." And with that I pull the lever and the lights go off one by one. Lonnie is positively glowing when I look back at the stage - in more ways than one.
