When I open my eyes I'm greeted with Ben, Audrey, Mal and Evie, surrounding me on the familiar streets of the isle of the lost. The distinct smell fills my nostrils and I feel slightly comforted.
"What is this hideous place?!" Audrey screeches.
"our home," Mal sighs
"We're on The Isle of the Lost?"
"Well done Audrey, you can successfully see and hear. I know it's a bit hard to hear about something not involving you. But you're doing amazing!" I clap and send her a fake, snarky smile. I see Ben give me a look that either says 'you okay?' or 'calm down'.
"Eww! Ben! Save me!" Audrey clings to Ben, whose currently on his phone
"Now I know why they say: 'Be careful what you wish for.'" I smile at Mal and watch Evie walk over to something in the street.
"I have forgotten how bad the city's drainage system is. These seriously need better catch-basins,"
"Really?"
"honestly, E" I breathe out a laugh after Mal.
"I'm taking Sustainable Urban Planning this semester," Evie shrugs.
"Does it say where we are?" Audrey asks Ben, still clinging on to him. When they were together it was fine. But now he's my boyfriend.
"Thanks to my dad there's no service on The Isle of the Lost,"
"So, we can't even find a way out of here?! Can we even selfie? Okay, this place needs so many filters."
"I'm sure that's the problem here Audrey, not the starving children, the lack of filters," Evie and Mal look at me "I'm sorry! It's just slipping out!"
"Uh, excuse me, ma'am. You dropped" Ben looks down at the floor "- my wallet"
"We should find a place to hide. "Evie tells me.
"Uh, yeah. Before anybody sees we're here." Mal agrees quickly
"There!" Evie points to a familiar shop.
"How are we supposed to get there? There's mud everywhere!" It takes everything in me, not to make a sarcastic comment. Ben gives me a look and I try to keep something along the lines of 'Oh no! What a tragedy! It's not like we can walk around it! Or even? Walk through it!' inside my head.
"I'll just throw my jacket over the -" before ben can finish, Mal is jumping in the puddle.
"Liking mud is not a VK thing." I clarify
"It's a Mal thing." Evie elaborates for Audrey and Ben who look extremely confused.

"Wait. Is this place even open?" Ben asks as we walk into the shop, he reads out the sign "
'Store hours: Whenever we feel like it.'"
I look about a shelf before Audrey's voice brings me out of my daydream,
"Figures! The only remotely interesting item here would be on the must-go rack. What's this?! It's beautiful,"
"Are you stealing that?" I smile at the voice, turning on my heel to face the sure to be comedic gold encounter.
"It was hanging with the dress. I would never steal!" Audrey glances at me on the last words. Ohhh someone's still not over that.
"I mean, why are you stealing that. When you could be stealing this," Okay, what is her play here.
"It's way cuter. Go ahead! Take it."
"No, I can't. That's wrong."
"That's the whole point." I mutter and I see Audrey's acquaintance throw a smirk my way
"Exactly, it's what we do here. Go on, take it."
"Oh, no." Evie walks over to me and Ben, Mal following close behind.
"Oh, no what?" the only male in the room asks.
"It's Freddie." Mal sighs
"Freddie? Short for Frederique?" I raise my eyebrow before starting to speak
"Short for Let's blow this voodoo stand."
