Chapter 38: Celebrations
I was staring at our hands. We weren’t holding hands anymore. Does it mean that we won’t be together this year? I looked at Mark and he was talking with someone on the phone. I wonder who it is.
“Happy New Year too” Mark said. Then Mark looked at me and smiled.
I just smiled back at him. Why didn’t he notice? Suddenly, I felt someone held my right arm. I looked at my right,
“JB?” I said.
“I thought you’re afraid of the fireworks?” he asked.
“How’d you know?” I said.
“I just know.” he said.
“Psh.” I said then smiled at him. “Well, Mark was with me so why should I be afraid?”
Then, someone pulled me.
“If you would excuse us JB, I have to tell something to Rhianne.” Mark said.
“No problem.” JB said and he waved to me.
What is Mark’s problem now?
“What’s the problem?” I asked.
“I really don’t like you talking with JB, that’s all.” he said.
“Psh.” I said and I pinched his cheeks. “Why do you need to be jealous with JB? You have all the things I’m looking for. You’re the one I love.”
“But JB has that one experience I didn’t have.” Mark said.
“And what’s that?” I asked.
“Never mind.” he said. “Let’s just go there.”
Then he pulled me.
“By the way, who were you talking to earlier?” I asked.
“Uhm,” he said. “I was talking to Wen…”
“Mark!” Ah Yeon shouted and came near us. I immediately removed my hands from Mark. “You two look so close to each other.”
“Oh yes, of course.” Mark said. “She’s my …”
“Little sister,” I said.
“Oh is that so?” Ah Yeon said. “Good.”
Then Ah Yeon linked her arms with Mark and pulled Mark away from me. Ooh, if I can just put my hands on those hairs, grrrrr.

Almost a week has passed after New Year. It’s finally 2015 but I still think about what happened last time. Superstitions are not real right? So I should not be afraid about that.
Rhianne, you’re such a paranoid. Well, I admit I’m a paranoid because it’s my first time to experience someone loves me and I don’t want any more pains. I’m tired already. But did Mark just let go of my hand? He said he’ll be the one holding it so if I let go, he’s still holding my hands. Aish. Never mind. Let’s not think about it anymore.
Today is finally the launching of the first episode of Dream High 3. The casts, us, decided to meet together to celebrate a little bit. So I started preparing myself. I went out of the room and saw Jimin and Yerin very busy.
“Ooh, it seems like you’re very busy?” I said. “What’s with all the commotion?”
“Oh, we’re just preparing this before we leave so later, it’s party time.” Yerin said.
“Party time?” I asked.
“Today is JB oppa’s birthday and later, we’re going to celebrate a little bit in his dorm.” Jimin said.
“Oh?” I said.
So today is JB’s birthday.
“Why didn’t he invite me in the small party?” I said.
Yerin suddenly pointed at my door. There was a little envelope there. I opened it.
To: Rhianne
We’re going to celebrate a little for my birthday. Hope you’ll come. Gifts are highly appreciated. Hahaha.
JB
So that’s why there’s an envelope here. I noticed it before but I didn’t dare to read it.
“How foolish of me.” I said. “So this is why there’s an envelope here.”
“Unnie doesn’t like to read.” Jimin teased me.
“Do you have a gift for him already?” I asked them.
They both shook their heads.
“Let’s just go together later, after the small celebration with Dream High 3 casts.” I said.
“Oh yeah. Good idea.” Jimin said.
After their preparations, we then went to the van. Mark was already inside the van when we went there.
“Oh” I said. “You’re early.”
He smiled at me and asked me to sit beside him. “Of course.”
I sat down beside him and we started to go the place where we’ll meet.
After a few minutes of travel, we finally arrived there. I can already hear Park Chanyeol’s loud voice.
“Waahahahaha.” Chanyeol said.
Chanyeol is one of the noisiest people I’ve ever met.
We opened the door and saw them very happy again. I saw Taehyung.
“Oppa, I’ll just go to Taehyung.” I told Mark.
He stared at me. “Pleaaaassse.” I pleaded.
“Fine, fine.” he said. Then I smiled at him.
I went to Taehyung. “Yah, how are you? You haven’t contacted me for a while.”
“We became so busy with our comeback plus different shows that’s why I wasn’t able to contact you.” he said.
“I understand.” I said.
I looked at Mark and he was staring at us. I really have a boyfriend who loves to jealous. Haha.
“Is it okay if you’re talking to me?” Taehyung asked. “I mean, Mark is staring at us”
I smiled at him, “It’s fine.”
“Are there any minors here?” Chanyeol asked.
“Minors? Is Taehyung considered a minor?” I pointed at Taehyung. Then Taehyung hit my hand.
“Yah, I’m already 20. I’m not a minor anymore.” he said.
“Just joking.” I said. “Why did you ask?”
“Cause we’re going to play a game.” Chanyeol said.
A game? What kind of game?
“Don’t worry. It’s just for fun.” Chanyeol said.
Our game was a tricky game. We’re going to make some hand movements while saying some words then the one who made a mistake will drink one cup of soju. I don’t drink. -_-
“Just 10 rounds.” Chanyeol said.
“I don’t drink.” I said.
“Then make sure you won’t make a mistake.” he said.
Then we started playing. Mark was beside me.
We started playing and then…
“Ahhhh!” Chanyeol said. “My mistake.”
Then he took one cup of soju.
“Woooh!” he said.
Then we continued playing again. I haven’t made a mistake yet, good thing.
Suddenly,
“Yah Rhianne! It was your turn.” Baekhyun said.
I should not have said that. -_- I made a mistake. So it means I’m going to drink this. Uggh. I’m sorry Lord, but I have to do this.
I was about to get the soju when Mark got it from me and drank it.
“Yah Mark, Rhianne should be the one drinking it.” Chanyeol said.
“I’m Rhianne.” he said.
Everyone started teasing us.
“Yah, tell me, are you two dating?” Chanyeol said.
We looked at each other.
“No.” we both said.
Chanyeol just raised his hands as an act of surrendering. “Fine. But I’m not convinced. Haha”
Minutes later, the food we ordered came already. I whispered something to Mark.
“You should not have taken it.” I said.
“It’s fine.” he said. “One cup won’t kill me.”
Then he burped. I laughed for a bit. Haha. I never thought I’ll be able to see this kind of Mark. He’s just so him.
After eating, we decided to separate ways.
While on the van,
“Oh, hey, we still have to buy gift for JB.” I said.
“Oh yeah, let’s go to the gift shop.” Jimin said.
So before we went back to the dorms, we went to a gift shop. We were roaming around and a lot of fans were following us especially Mark. A lot of fangirls are interested with Mark.
Well, who wouldn’t be? I mean, he’s the most handsome person I ever met in my whole life. I know this is not right but he is the most perfect person a girl could ever dream of. He has the looks, the talents, great family; he’s intelligent (in his own way) and very loving. So what else will you look for? He’s perfect.
I was just staring at him there actually, I distanced myself from him. A lot of fans keep on following him and others pushed me already.
“Those fans are really something.” Yerin said.
“Just let them Yerin. Let’s just be proud because Mark has a lot of fans.” I said. “Let’s just enter this gift store.”
We entered the gift store. Mark noticed us so he went inside too. When we enter the gift store, fans still entered there. Mark went beside me.
“Hey” I told him. “You shouldn’t come near me.”
“Nah, it’s fine.” he said.
Then he took a teddy bear and wiggled it to me. “Ahhh. Haha.” he said.
He’s now the kid Mark. He’s so adorable I wanted to pinch him but I can’t. There are a lot of fans.
“Excuse me, can you just please move away? We’re trying to take a picture of Mark.” one fan told me.
And I was like, woah, excuse me?
“Oh? Is that so?” I said then I tried to get out of the way.
Suddenly Mark grabbed my hand.
“She’s my friend.” Mark said. “don’t you know her?”
The fans looked at me.
“She’s the new member of 15& and one of the lead stars of Dream High 3.” Mark said.
I just smiled at Mark and removed my hands from him and started walking away.
“Rhianne-a” he said.
“I’ll just look for gifts here. Don’t worry. Let the fans take picture with you.” I said.
Yerin and Jimin went near me.
“Are you alright unnie?” Yerin asked.
“Yes, I’m fine.” I said. “Let’s just look for gifts.”
Suddenly I saw a cute notebook with a cover that looks like JB. I took it.
“Look, it looks like JB.” I said.
Jimin and Yerin went near me.
“Aaahh!” fans shouted.
“Let’s buy this so we’ll go back to the van. The fans are acting weird.” Jimin said.
So we went to the counter and bought it.
“Uhm, you’re Rhianne right?” the saleslady asked me.
“Yes.” I said.
“Hi! I’m Marielle.” she said. “I’m a Filipino.”
“Oh really?” I exclaimed.
I saw a Filipino today.
“Can I take a picture with you?” she said.
“Of course.” I said and we took a picture.
“Thank you.” she said.
“If I have time, I’ll try to visit this place again.” I said.
“Mark oppa!” Yerin shouted. “Let’s go.”
Mark started walking and a lot of fans were still following us. Finally, we have arrived at the van.
“Wooh!” Mark exclaimed.
“Are you alright?” I asked.
“I’m fine.” he said.
Suddenly, I saw his arm, there was a bruise. Maybe the fans pushed each other so much that Mark’s arm was affected so it was bruised. I grabbed his arms.
“Doesn’t it hurt?” I said while I was trying to play with his bruise. I was poking the place where the bruise was located.
“Aww.” he said. “Stop playing with that.”
I smiled at him. I really love touching bruises; more pain, more fun. Hahaha. I stopped for a bit then I stared at him and poked it again.
Mark laughed for a bit. “You’re like a child.” he said.
I smiled at him and stared at the bruise. “Does it hurt?”
He removed his arms and stared at his bruise.
“Not really.” he said.
I was about to grab his arms again to poke it.
“But don’t poke it.” he said.
I gave him a pouting look. He just smiled at me.
“By the way, what did you buy?” he asked me.
“Ooh, I just bought this notebook because the cover looks like JB.” I said.
He just smiled.

JB’s Party
Finally, we’ve arrived at the dorms and immediately went to GOT7’s dorm.
The moment we entered there, they were so busy preparing stuffs. Of course, it’s JB’s birthday, the leader’s birthday. It has to be so special.
“Happy birthday JB oppa!” Jimin said.
“Oh, thank you Jimin.” JB said. “Did you bring gifts? Hahaha.”
“Of course.” Jimin said.
Then JB tapped her shoulders. JB suddenly went to us.
“How was the celebration?” he asked me.
Then suddenly he smelled something.
“Did you drink?” he asked me.
I shook my head and pointed at Mark.
“Ei~” he said.
“She made me do it.” Mark said.
“I didn’t tell you to drink it.” I said. “It was supposed to be my punishment but he was the one who drank it.”
JB just smiled. “You’re not drunk right because I don’t want any harm happenings here.” he said.
“Of course I’m not.” Mark said.
“Good.”
While they were talking, I can feel something behind those words. I don’t know but it really feels unusual for them to talk like that. I mean, ugh, never mind.
We started the program 10 minutes after we have arrived.
“Since today is our leader’s birthday, but he doesn’t want a huge party, so we’ll just make this party simple.” Jinyoung said. “After giving gifts to JB, we’re going to eat. That’s all.”
“I’ll be the first one!” Bambam said.
“Okay, if you insist.” Jinyoung said.
Bambam went in front with his gift.
“Hyung, I know I’m such a baby but I thank you for understanding me all the time.” Bambam said. “And in return, I’d like to give you this gift.”
“Thank you Bambam.” JB said.
Then he started opening the gift. When he opened it, it was a case of guitar pick with a lot of guitar pick.
“I can see hyung loves to play the guitar. When I tried it before, my hand hurts without those guitar picks so I decided to buy that for you so you won’t get hurt.” Bambam said.
Oh, how sweet. >_<
JB smiled with what Bambam said. Bambam may be a child but he is really mature enough to be him. It’s cute to see them like this.
“JB, since it’s your birthday, who do you want to go next?” Jinyoung asked.
“Of course, you.” JB said.
“Me?” Jinyoung said. “Okay fine.”
Jinyoung brought out his gift. “Honestly JB, I don’t know what to give to you. But since you love to play basketball, I decided to give you this.”
Jinyoung handed his gift. JB opened it and it was a pair of shoes.
“Woaaah!” JB exclaimed. “Thank you Jinyoung. It’s really cool.”
“Without JB, I will not also be here.” Jinyoung added and they hugged each other.
Awww. What a cute heart-warming message. The two of them are really close with each other since before debut. They were together when they audition, they both won, they debuted as a duo – the JJ project - , and they’re now together in GOT7.
Then Yugyeom, Jackson, Yerin, Jimin, Mark and I gave the gift to JB with a short message.
The last one was his roommate, Youngjae.
“And the last one is Youngjae!” Jinyoung shouted.
“Wait a minute hyung.” Youngjae said.
Youngjae went near Mark. “Hyung, I put my gift inside your bag. I’ll just get it.”
“Okay. My bag is there beside Rhianne.” Mark said.
Youngjae took the bag near me and he took his gift.
*kling*
Something fell from Mark’s bag. It was shining. Youngjae noticed it too.
I took it. Youngjae looked at me. Since everyone was waiting for Youngjae, they were also staring at us.
It was a bracelet but not just a normal bracelet.
“I thought you lost it?” I told Mark.
