as the long ride continues donghyuck kept thinking about this entire situation and how he even ended up like this. wait! where was mark originally going the day we met? what if he takes the same way every day! I have to go check tomorrow. donghyuck thinks to himself. ever since the day he left mark's apartment he would occasionally think about mark and what he possibly could be up to."mr. seo I'm sorry but do you think you can help me find a subway station tomorrow morning?" donghyuck payses mid sentence and shifts in his seat, "actually nevermind you're probably busy-" donghyuck tried to say but gets interrupted by mr seo,
"don't worry I can give you a ride if I'm allowed to. but all subway stations are far from where we're headed why do you wanna go?" he's actually not as scary as he looks, donghyuck thinks with a smile growing on his face. "I actually uh left something there a few days ago and I need to go get it yeah" mr. seo immediately cracks a small smile before beginning to speak"I know you'll want to meet that mark guy, but I'll ask boss if you can leave okay?" donghyuck's expression wuickly changes, "I'm sorry how do you know mark?" donghyuck utters, now tense. "I can't tell you just yet" I will literally find out sooner or later why not make both our lives easier, donghyuck thinks as he rolls his eyes before looking out the window.
dinghyuck snaps out of his thoughts when mr. seo parks the car in front of a beautiful mansion, not only didn't he think mansions this big existed in seoul but the amount of guards caught him off guard. despite that what caught his attention the most was the garden behind the house, he could only see a little bit but it was enough to make him utterly mesmerized. he stared at all the beautiful japanese quinces all over the garden and made an imaginry note to himself to check it out as soon as possible. mr seo puts his hand on donghyuck's shoulder causing donghyuck to face him quickly. he tilta his head towards the main entrance. they walk for a few minutes until they were in front of the main door. mr seo eyed a guard that quickly opens the door for them. "this is Mingi he'll show you around, this is mr lee's son he'll be living here from now on, get along" mr seo said before leaving donghyuck with a tall boy.
"well hi I'm mingi! I'll take good care of you don't worry. there's a lot of people here so it's be nice to have a friend close in age" donghyuck immediately notices how much the other talked but stayed polite and smiled at him with a nod. "don't make fun of me but I've never had any real friends before but I hope we can become good friends" donghyuck says before lowering hus head slightly ashamed. mingi's smile drops a bit but starts speaking nevertheless, "don't worry, hyuckie, I promise I'll treat you well!" mingi says as he put his arm around donghyuck's shoulders. he wanted to ask about mingi's relationship to his alleged father but decided to keep quiet for now. "I never knew mr. lee had a kid but we're friends now and friends can tell each other everything we can go to your room and maybe talk a bit I don't have any work left and my mom comes home late today so it's fine" donghyuck looked at him for a bit before nodding with a small smile. he sure likes to talk.

"and now I'm here" donghyuck finishes off. he changed into some of mingi's clothes since his were too dirty to be worn at such a fancy place, according to donghyuck himself. mingi was cuddled up against a blanket with lots of pillows around him while holding onto a tissue, donghyuck didn't notice that mingi started crying half way through but when he heard sniffling he quickly turns to face him. "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, you're literally an angel that fell from heaven. did you break up with that stupid guy by the way? what if he searches for you" donghyuck didn't say anything and just stood up and leaned on the wall. "Idk how to" in a matter of seconds mingi stopped crying as his face changes expressions in a blink of an eye.
"oh god- you know what let's just yeah let's end this conversation here" donghyuck nodded as he closed his eyes lazily. "can we go talk to mr lee- or wait I mean dad? I want to ask him if there's any possibility I can go back to school" mingi smiles as looks at the cute boy in front of him. "so firstly mr lee comes back at 2 in the morning and leaves at 4 so yeah maybe not. but more importantly who cares about school if I was you I'd never go back" mingi says as he continues looking at donghyuck with a raised brow. "I forcibly dropped out, these days you can't even get hired by burger king if you're a dropout" donghyuck says with a sigh in which mingi replies to by nodding.

as the days passed donghyuck started to become more comfortable with living with mr lee and he was slowly becoming more happy with everything in his life. he was going to start school tomorrow and mr lee fully supports him both financially and emotionally. he grew more and more comfortable with mr lee after they got the dna results back showing that they indeed were father and son. his dynamic with mingi was also great, they grew very close in a short amount of time and donghyuck thought it felt amazing to have a shoulder to cry on. he still hasn't heard anything about mark yet and his trip to the aubway station was useless, however he felt that mr. seo knew something but was refusing to tell him.
the next day donghyuck found himsf awake at 5 even though his classes started at 8. he took a relaxing shower and wore something he never knew he could pull off, him and mingi went shopping together and you can't say no to Mingi.
it was a black long sleeved shirt with a short sleeved black and white stripped shirt on top. he paired it with black ripped jeans and fancy black shoes. for accessories he had normal black belt and some ankle chains and red sunglasses that he knew he wasn't going to use since it was early january but fashion doesn't have to make sense.

after putting his clothes on donghyuck went to his dresser and lightly did his makeup, he had been experiencing with makeup for a couple of days so he could look and feel good on his first day. as he holds onto his brush he couldn't help but think about his adoptive father and how he never would've gotten to express himself the way he can right now. he shakes his head and tries to think about somethung else as he puts some concealer on. he decides to be bold and add a coral blush and a liptint in a similar shade before moving on to his hair. he decides to keep it natural and curl it slightly before he goes down to greet his. he felt his heart warm a little at thr sight of people he barely knows but truly loves being around. for thr first time donghyuck felt like he had a family. he looks at his dad and mingi and and mr. seo that was standing near his father's chair. "you're definitely my child, you've got all my handsomeness" his dad said before even saying good morning. donghyuck sits down with a smile before starting a conversation with his dad and mingi.

"mingi-ya..I'm kinda nervous. wha-what if it's... it's like my old school...?" donghyuck says as they hop onto the car. mingi cups donghyuck's face before saying "nope they're actually pretty open minded despite being academically dumb. and plus we're going to be together all day. I won't let anyone do anything to you" and that was the last thing he said before kissing donghyuck's forehead and then going back to finish his nap on the way to school.

the school was huge and everyone was, obviously, very rich. the school consisted of many buildings and floors and donghyuck couldn't help but feel tense. as soon as they enter the main building donghyuck feels eyes on him as people start to whisper and point at him. "I'm quite uncomfortable not gonna lie" donghyuck lets out as he tries his best to stay confident. mingi puts his arm around donghyuck's shoulders before replying "they're just surprised that there are still handsome guys left on this planet. keep your head up high" donghyuck couldn't help but smile widely at mingi's confidence. it was somethung he wished he had and will continue trying to gain.
"okay settle down class we have a new student! how exciting right? you come in and introduce yourself" the young teacher said before turning to face donghyuck that was outside of the classroom. he comes in with a small nervous smile plastered on his face. "h-hi my name is lee donghyuck, I hope we get along", still being uncomfortable by the whispering donghyuck couldn't help but look down nervously. he heard whispers about his face being handsome and his unique name but he still felt awkward.
"okay so we do this thing were you get asked a couple of questions because you're new are you know with that?" donghyuck was NOT okay with it but didn't want to sound weird so he agreed. "sure ms...?" the young teacher looked at him with a smile before saying "ms ahn but everyone calls me hwasa I'm not that old so no need for formalities." donghyuck nods with a smile before seeing a girl raise her hand. "are you single? and what's your sexuality" he was caught off guard by tge straightforward question but answers after a few seconds of silence. "well um I'm bisexual and yes I'm single" he says with a small smile as he watched people glance at each other before beginning to talk. "okey quiet down. any more questions or should we begin?" people started taking out their things as an answer which causes mrs. ahn to just smile at donghyuck before looking around the classroom possibly looking for an emoty seat. "okey great! and donghyuck you can go sit next to mark right there, mark raise your hand please" when donghyuck heard the name mark he couldn't help but flinched a bit. he watches intensely as a guy lifts hus arm up but keeps his head on the table. donghyuck then bows to tye teacher before speed walking towards the table next to mark. he quickly sits down before speaking, "mark? do you really go to- oh?" th guy lifts his head up for the first time and shook hands with donghyuck "mark, mark tuan nice to meet you" donghyuck freezes from embarrassment and doesn't do or say anything more. he snaps out of it after a fee seconds and quickly looks over to the whiteboard with a blush.
"I'm going to find you mark, I promise I will"
