Lily's Pov:
5 days later...
"Are you sure your okay?" Odett asks me for the second time this morning.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Its just hard now." I explained.
See, ever since I lasted seen Drew my powers stayed strong, but these last few weeks they have been taking a troll on me.
It has something to so this me and Drew being away from eachother for so long.
Odett gave me a sympathetic look and gave me a good rub on the back, before leaving the kitchen.
I tried again to focus on the dying plant, determinded to make the plant greener.
The leaves began to lift, when I heard a huge alarm go off.
My concentration was wiped from the plant and I called out, "Andrew! Taylor!"
Taylor came in to the kitchen, looking like nothing is going on.
"What is that!?" I asled, covering my ears.
"Rogue attack. Don't worry, its just a small group, Drew said he had all of it under control so there is no reason for the other paxk members to come." He exclaimed.
"Well, I can't just stand here!" I exclaimed also, moving to the window to see in the far distance the wolves fighting.
"I swear its nothing to worry about." Taylor reassured me.
I looked at him, determinded. "I told him, I would come, when battle was here."
Taylor seemed to grasp the concept that it was time to end the separation between Drew and I.
He nodded his head and opened the window for me.
"Go get 'em." He said with a side grin.
I smiled back at him and then closed my eyes.
I gracefully made waves by both my sides.
I opened my eyes totally on focus.
I wasn't thinking about seeing Drew or what his reaction would be. I focused on kicking some rogue a**.
I flew out the window, and heard Taylor chuckling behind me.
I raced to the battlefield.
My eyss immediately went to Drews wolf and somehow, I didn't hesitate, I shot a frozen icicle, that came out of a nearby river, and sent it flying into the rogues stomach that Drew was fighting.
The rogue stiffened and collapsed on the tossled grass.
Drew looked up in curiosity, and saw me.
We locked eye contact, as I decended to the ground. His eyes were the same old hazel and it made my heart clench to see them once again.
I snapped out of it, when I saw a rogue run toward me.
I raised both of my hands and clenching them together, causing roots to catch the rogue and wrap around him, squeezing him, until unconsciousness.
I sent bolders at the nearest rogue that was fighting Parker.
Parker looked startled, but when he spotted me, he almost snarled. Was not expecting that from Parker, but okay.
Taylor was right it was nothing to worry about, because there were barely any rogues to take down.
Shortly after stabbing rogues with icicles, rocks and tangling them in roots or vines.
A tangle of sweat laced down my face, and I was breathing heavily.
The rogues lay dead or injured on the bloddy, dirty grass.
I spotted Stacey and Alex come back feom the forest in new clothes.
I haven't seen Alex in so long, but I have seen Stacey eveeyday.
They both surprisingly had smiled written on their faces and was running my way.
But then my tension was drawn from them as I heard paws.
Tons of paws came racing out of the forest in a great group.
I was closest to rhem and it was impossible to stop all of them by myself, so I had to protecr myself.
There was no time to run or fly.
So I made a giant ice wall to wrap around me, but it was too thin.
The rogues charged through it, breaking the ice and taking me to the grass.
I fell to the ground. The rogues didn't stop nor heaitate that they stomped tgeir big, heavy claws all over me.
"AHHHHH!" I screamed out in pain as I heard my left wing crush.
My wings then swept back into my back and my gown disappeared with it, as my jeans and cardigan reappeared.
The rogues wouldn't stop. My jeans and shirt were turning brown from the dirt.
I heard shouts and growls, but the pain hurt most of all.
"AHHHH!" I screamed out again and I caught the attention of a certain rogue.
He was the last rogue running in the pack.
He stopped before me and stared right into me.
I didn't know why he stopped or even noticed me, but I stood up to show him no fear.
He seemed to be liking this somehow, which confused me.
He then blinked away the eye contact we were having and lunhed for me.
I ignored the temporary pain as I dodged him and pulled out a fire blade, skinning his stomach bare.
He cringsd at the burn, but did not cower, he lunged at me again.
Again he lunged for me, not my stomach to pin me to the ground but my left arm. It beared its teeth and bit into my arm.
"AHHHHHHHH!" I screamed out in pain again as it suck its teeth deeper into my skin.
The pain stopped as the teeth left my arm.
Drews wolf came tk my rescue and he sucked his teeth into the rogues throat, killing it.
I lowered myself to the filthy grass, holding my injured arm.
"Lily!" I heard Alex shout.
I looked back to see Alex running for me.
He ripped off his white shirt and put it on my bleeding arm.
"I'm alright." I said, through gritted teeth.
"We need to get you to Doc. The venom is spreading." He said.
"I got it." I said, raising my good arm above my wounded arm and then a dirty looking water came out of my arm, the venom. I blew out air so the venom went into the grass.
"I'm gonna need stitches." I said, trying to overcome this slight pain, but to be honest it doesn't hurt that much because of the venom.
Alex nodded, helping me off the floor.
Everybody shifted back and was in a little group, not too far from us.
Seeing them in their human forms made me want to smile, but I knew I shouldn't. They're still mad at me.
We walked up to them and Alex said, "She's gonna need stitches."
I avoided their eye contact and stared at my beat up toms.
"Lets get her to doc." Parker said.
I looked up, surprised he would say something like that or even care.
I grinned at him and he lightly shrugged his shoulders at me. I knew he was still mad at me though.
We all started walking to the pack house, Drew leading the way.
It wasn't a far walk, so we got there in ten minutes.
I could already hear the whispers of my return from the pack members inside.
I knew I had to talk to them too.
Drew opened the door for all of us.
I was last and we made eye contact.
Gosh! I missed those eyes. I missed seeing his gorgeous face when he woke up. I miss his smile and laugh. I miss his touch.
I went up to him and whispered, "I waited. I saved my pack twice. Its time to talk."
He nodded. Which surprised me. I thought he would say no. I nearby smiled, a real smile.
We walked inside and I saw all of the pack members staring and whispering about me. I saw dirty and concerned looks from all of them.
I decided that this was the time to apologize.
I walked away from our little group and made my way through the huge crowd.
I found a round table in the middle and by the help of one pack member helped me up.
"Thanks." I said to the stranger and then realized it was the same stranger from the elevator.
"Your welcome." He said with a smirk. "Natalie." He added.
I gasped in shock, but he just smiled at me.
I stood up and made a really big whistle sound.
The whole pack house lobby became silent.
"I have something to say." I said clearly. "I know that most of you are either mad or feels that I stabbed them in the back, that wasn't my intention. I never told any of you and I apologize, but I did have a reason for keeping it." I paused and then saw everyone was silent, listening. "Believe me that reason for not only my protection, but for yours also. There is no one like me out there, and if anyone found out we would have war. I lied out of love and protection like any luna would do and if you have a problem you can take it up with me." I finished and then said."Thanks for hearing me out." And with that I jumped off the table.
I walked through the crowd and back to the group.
We continued to walk to the elevators and then squeezed in.
The elevator stayed silent and it just made me all anxious.
It was a short ride though. We all piled out and walked into Dr. Marcus' room.
"Lily!" Dr. Marcused gasped as he turned around.
"Good to see you Dr. Marcus." I said as I hopped up on the table.
"I see that your back." He observed, grabbing my injured arm carefully and taking off the bloody shirt.
"Its just gonna need stitches. One of my wings broke, so they won't be coming out for awhile, but other than that I'm all good." I said.
"Actually you broke your arm, your gonna need a cast." He said, examining my arm.
"Really? I don't feel a thing." I said, laughing a little.
He chuckled a little too and then grabbed all of his medical stuff.
Just then Elizabeth walked in, talking on the phone.
"No." She said calming whoever was on the phone. "No Carly, she is fine." She said staring at me.
Dr. Marcus came back and made me hold out my arm, so he could wrap the gauze on.
"Is that my mom?" I asked.
Elizabeth nodded. "No, she's right here. I'm looking straight at her." She said.
"Hand the phone to me." I said, holding out my good hand.
Elizabeth nodded and said into the phone. "You want to talk to her?" She asked. "Here you go." She finished, handing the phone to me.
"Hi Mom." I said into the phone.
"Are you okay? Do I need tk come in?!" She asked, panicking obviously.
"I'm alright Mom. The doctor is putting a cast on as we speak." I said, leaning back.
"I don't know this doctor. How can I trust him?" She asled stubbornly.
"Mom, he's the one who put the green cast on my foot." I explained, trying to calm her.
"Is this the one that ended you up in the hospital the next night!?" She asked astonished.
"Oh sh*t." I cussed really low.
"Trust me Mom, he's more careful now. I'll call you back later." I said.
"No! I want to talk to this doctor." She said.
"Fine, hold on." I said and then pressed thw phone into my shoulder.
Dr. Marcus finished my cadt and it was now a hot pink color.
"She wants to talk to you." I said.
He held out his hand for me to take and I dropped it in his hand.
He held it up to his ear and he regretted it.
Mom must have been giving her a piece of her mind.
"Mrs. Matthews, I can tell you I did a double check." He said, trying to calm her down.
That didn't work at first, but he got her to call down and he ended the conversation and gave the phone back to Elizabeth.
"Your mother is...interesting." he said and I laughed.
"Hey you did this all to yourself when you forgot the x-rays." I said, getting off the counter.
"I was going to check uour eyes." Dr. Marcus said.
I blushed. He thought it was an infection, a doctor.
"It's not what you think." Is all I said.
Dr. Marcus nodded, still confused, but didn't press.
"I'll leave you to it." He said and then left.
I turned to see all of the boys, Stacey and Elizabeth just standing in the corner.
I locked eye contact with Drew and hid eyes had so much emotion in it. I'm sure mine did too.
I gave him one last glance, before I got up and left the room.
I walked down the hall toward the elevator.
While I was waiting for the elevator, Stacey called my name out.
"Wait up!" She called.
I stopped in my place, until she came up to me.
"Where are you going? Why aren't you talking with my brother?" She asked.
"I already told him that we needed to talk." I said and gave Stacey a hug, before I walked into the elevator alone.
"Just tell him where to find me, if he hasn't figured it oit already." I said and hit the pent house button.
Stacey nodded and then ran down the hall, back into the room.
The walk to my room had nothing extraordinary happen.
I went into my room and kept the door open.
I opened ip the window and sat on the window sill, looking outside.
I wish I could fly right now, but I can't anymore, at least for awhile.
Then I heard a knock on the door.
I turned my head to see Drew standing in the doorway.
"I'm ready to talk." He said.
