Nick's POV
Today was my last day with Demi and Katie for quite a while. I wouldn't be able to see them for another month. Tonights show is also the first time that Katie would be performing with Demi up on stage, it was also the night that I ask Demi to promise herself to me and only me. Katie and I already planned it out, as well as pretty much everyone knows except for Demi. Today is also the day that Katie gets a surprise of her own, Luke Hemmings got a hold of Demi and asked if he could surprise Katie, Demi of course told him yes. I have a feeling he was going to ask Katie out because those two are always talking.
Katie told Demi which songs that she wanted to sing up on stage with Demi to lead me into asking her. They are 1. U Got Nothin on Me 2. Two Worlds Collide 3. The Middle 4. My Love is Like A Star and last but not least 5. Catch Me.
I was to come out during My Love is Like A Star and then I was staying to perform Catch me with them. Katie is a genius, she planned the most of this without my help.
I was a little nervous but I could deal with it, my nerves had nothing to do with my performing on stage because I grew up performing on stage...my nerves had eveything with asking Demi to promise herself to me.
Demi had already left to go to the venue because she had sound check, Katie and I were leaving soon to join Demi at the soundcheck. Katie had to be there to run through things with Demi.
I was trying so hard not to let my nerves show but I guess Katie sensed them.
"Dude calm down" Katie said
"I can't just calm down...I am asking the person that I am head of cleats in love with to promise herself to me" I whisper shouted
"Dude just calm yourself down. Take deep breathes...I mean its not like she will say no. I know my mom and she will definitely say yes" Katie said
"I believe you, I just have never thought about this before" I said
"Well I sure hope not or else you and I are going to have a few words" Katie said
I couldn't help but chuckle at her and how protective she got over Demi. It was really cute to be honest. Katie and Demi were adorable together, they had this bond almost like one that a birth mother and daughter share.
We soon arrived at the venue and Max met us out back. We walked inside and around backstage, Demi was finishing up her last song of her solo sound check. After all this time of knowing her as an actress or singer, I still get surprised at the range of her vocals. Soon Demi finished and noticed Katie and I standing over in the shadows of side stage. She ran over to us and gave both of us a hug. I recivied a peck on the lips while Katie got a kiss on the forehead. She soon took Katies hand and dragged her into the middle of the stage. I stood back and watched, Katie seemed to be a natural up on stage. No doubt in my mind that she would get a recording contract soon, she has a powerful voice and she is a natural up on the stage.
Katie's POV
Nick was nervous for no reason, Demi was going to say yes to him. I mean she it head over heels in love with him, so why wouldn't she say yes? When we got to the venue Demi was finishing her last solo sound check song and once finished she spotted Nick and I sitting in the shadows of side stage. SHe ran up to us and gave us both hugs. Nick recivived a kiss on the peck on the lips while I got a kiss on my forehead. Demi soon dragged up onto the stage and we started our sound check, she is still pretty clueless as to why I chose the songs that I did.
I don't know why I was so hestient to perform on stage with her because now that I am on stage for sound check I feel so comfortable. It really feels like I belong up here.
Demi and I ran through the songs I chose to perform tonight, Demi also taught me some stuff about moving on stage while singing. I was offically able to run a little bit but not too much because my muscules weren't used to it just yet.
When we were done, we go to hair and makeup. I felt turtored in hair and makeup because well....I'm me. I hate wearing makeup about 90% of the time and my scale now hurts because they kept pulling my hair in different directions and it just hurts like hell now. After hair and makeup we were able to chill in Demi's dressing room with Nick. I was the first to enter the dressing room and Nick still looked nervous but when Demi entered he gained his composer and acted normal. This kid...I swear..he's strange.
Soon Nick and Demi were getting a little too comfortable so I left the room and went to find out what Maddie and Bea were up to. I found them running around chasing each other around the stage as well as back stage. When they both saw me, they ran over to me.
"Katie!!!" They shouted in unison
"Bea!!! Maddie!!!" I mocked them
"Whats up?" Maddie asked me
"Oh nothing, just a little bored." I said
"Join the party" Bea said
"Food and Video Games?" Maddie suggested
"Of course" Bea and I replied at the same exact time
We made our way over to catering and grabbed some food before we made our way back to the bus that Demi and I are currently living on. We ate our food and then played a few rounds of games. Quickly the time dissappered, and soon Nick appered in the door way of the bus and told us that we had to get inside. Bea, Maddie and I followed Nick back inside the venue. We walked back into the hair and makeup room because Bea and I had to get touch ups done. Then Bea and I left Maddie and Nick and made our way to the dressing rooms to get dressed into our on stage clothes. Once that was done, we were ushered to the prayer circle that Demi does before every single show, Maddie along with Nick were also there and joined in on all the praying action. In that circle were also the Malcome and Tony from MKTO as well as Christina Perrie. I got along great with the three of them but I talked mainly to Christina Perrie, she is simply amazing and so personable.
First up on stage was MKTO then it was Christina Perrie and finally it would be Bea. When Christina went on stage, Bea got ready to go up on stage, she got mic'd up and the mic was tested. When they were testing her mic, thats when I heard everyone in the audiance and boy were they loud. Christina was singing her song Human that was my favorite song by her. I absoultly loved it, Demi and I always blasted it in the car when it came on the radio. Soon it was Bea's turn to go up on stage and you could tell that she was excited. When she started to sing, the crowd once again went insane. Demi, Nick, Maddie and I were standing on side stage watching Bea sing and have fun on stage. Soon I felt Demi pulling me back wards and it turned out to be our turn to get mic'd up. Our mics that we were wareing, were secondary mic's and were meant only to help pick up the vocals we put out. Demi showed me how to put in the ear plugs that she had created for me.
One of the backstage hands, gave us both microphones. Before I knew it Bea was coming off stage and Demi was doing vocal warm ups with me before she went on. Demi then went up on stage and started to do her thing. I sat on the side of stage and watched her, waiting for her to call me up. Nick went and got himself mic'd up and checked his sugar levals.
Soon I heard my que to get ready, I edged myself closer to side stage while Demi talked about me. Bea helped me get my ear plugs in because they kept falling out.
"I have a special surprised for everyone out here tonight. So like everyone knows, I have a daughter and my daughter is so talented and amazing. She has performed on Ellen a few weeks after I adopted her and know I want to show the world her powerful voice. So for the rest of my WORLD TOUR, my daughter Katie will be joining me up on stage and singing with me" Demi said
Heaing this made me blush a little
"So if everyone could please put their hands together and welcome Kaitlyn Devonne Leigh Lee Lovato aka my daughter up on stage" Demi said
The crowd went insane once Demi finished talking.
I stood there for a second before Bea and Maddie gave me a small shove up on stage, this little shoved sent me forward a few steps, finally I broke out in a run and ran out onto the stage and met Demi in the middle on stage. The crowd started screaming again, Demi and I just stood there smiling at everyone. When they died down, I brought my microphone to my lips.
"Hello everyone" I said
This once again set everyone screaming.
"So my mom and I are going to sing you guys a few songs together. Does that sound okay?" I asked the crowd
They all started to scream YES!! This made me chuckle a little bit before I looked at Demi who looked at the band and nodded. The fimiliar beat of U Got Nothin On Me started to play.

We end facing our backs to the crowd and waited for the last chords of the music to the song to die down before we looked at eachother and turned around. I couldn't control the smile that was on my face. The music soon started to play the intro to Two Worlds Collide and I broke out into a weird little dance. It was my favorite song of my moms, I couldn't help it. Upon seeing me dance, Demi laughed her infects laugh into the mircophone. Then we both started to sing.

Demi and I ended this song facing one another. I slowly walked over to Demi and gave her a hug, and then looked at the crowd while the band started playing the into to The Middle. This time when I broke out into dance, Demi joined me as it was the one that we rehearsed with Demi's back up dancers. One of the back up dancers locked their hands together and I broke into a run and they caught my foot and lauched me into the air. I did a double front flip and landed safely onto my feet and then rolled into a summer sault, afterwards joining Demi back into the dance. We both started singing.

When we finished singing, I looked in the shadows of side stage saw Nick standing there, smiling at me. I flashed him a smile and he gave me a thumbs up as well as a smile. Nick and I planned out that he would come out after the song was over and asked Demi to promise herself to me. We sang My Love is Like A Star, while we sang Demi and I held hands, only parting when the dancing called for it.

As Demi wond down on the last lyrics of the song. I gave my single to Nick and he started to walk out. He had this confident stride going. He walked to where Demi and I stood, Demi wore a look of confusion on her face and looked at me. I brought the mic to my lips and spoke.
"Don't look at me" I said and the crowd sorta giggled at that
Demi turned back towards Nick and looked on once more with confusion. She was clueless right now and I was enjoying this. Soon Nick reached us and went down to one knee and Demi's hand shot to her mouth and the crowd let out a Awh.
Nick's POV
When I reached where Katie and Demi stood, I dropped down to one knee in front of Demi. HEr hand shot to her her mouth and the crowd let out a Awh. I chuckled at this.
"Demetria Devonne Lovato, I love you with all my heart and I have loved you since I first saw you on the set of Camp Rock. I love everything about you right down to your battles. Your laughter is my favorite thing to hear and so is your voice, I love burning food with you. I love your daughter with all my heart. Will you do me the honor and promise yourself to me" I said
To be honest I forgot like half my speech so I just went out on a limb and said what came to my mind. Demi stood there with shock, her hand still covering her mouth but she had tears in her eyes. Katie looked at her and brought her mircophone to her own lips.
"Well mom what do you say" Katie said while nudging her
Demi came back to her senses and brought her mircophone to her lips.
"Yes, I say yes. I will promise myself to you Nicolas Jerry Jonas" Demi said into the mircophone
I was so relived. I took her hand and slipped the promise ring onto her finger. The ring was a steel brushed sliver and it had My Love is Like a Star engraved into it on the outside and on the inside it said Forever and Always.
Demi whiped tears from her eyes while Katie looked at the band and they started to play the song Catch Me.

We finished the song and Demi whipped more tears from her eyes and I looked at Katie. She nodded and smilied at me before she spoke into the microphone.

I stuck my hand out and broke into a slight run and ran off stage. I heard Katie start speaking again.
"Well, It seems that my mom needs a few minutes to compose herself so it looks like you guys are stuck with me for a few minutes." Katie said
I looked in back of me, a little confused. Only to find Demi making her way to the side of stage. I turned around and opened up my arms and Demi ran straight into them. Katie once more started to talk.
"I would like to welcome back up on stage my amazing best friends Maddie and Bea" Katie said
I looked at Maddie and Bea who were already walking out on stage, both were carrying mircophones and Maddie raised hers up to her lips and spoke.
"Techincally thats Aunt Maddie to you" Maddie said
I let out a chuckle and waited for Katie's smart ass reply
"Yea but I'm older so bow down" Katie said
This made Demi who was leaning into my chest laugh out loud. Bea also was laughing on stage and Maddie faked this look of hurt.
"Oh wipe the fake hurt off your face Mads" Katie said
Yup my soon to be step daughter everyone...not only is she a talented singer but she is also a spicy smartass. Thank god she doesn't go to normal school, otherwise Demi or I would be there every other day dealing with the princple.
Katie's POV
When Maddie whipped the fake hurt off her face, Bea spoke up.
"Hey this is a concert is it not?" Bea asked
"Why yes, yes it is Beatrice" I said
"Okay, I'm going to let that one slide because its your first time. But call me that again and I will kill you" Bea said to me
"Fine. What song should we sing?" I ask

I looked at the band and they started to play the fimiliar beat.

Still seeing no sign of my mom, we descided that we would do a question and answer session. I discovered that Lovatics have some....strange and dirty minds. I got some cool questions about me though and Maddie got some about her and then Bea got some for her.
One Lovatic asked me What is it like being Demi's daughter?
"I love being able to call Demi my mom. She is an amazing mom and I love her so much. To be honest, it did take some time getting used to. I mean I have people following me with cameras now because my last name is Lovato so its a little weird but I love it. Demi and I sing together all the time at home. Sometimes I act like I am the older one but thats all the fun. My family is pretty huge and awesome. I went from having no family to having a big one and I love them all. I meet so many famous people that it sometimes get tiring but the person that I love the most besides for Demi is a tie between my Aunt Selena, Nick, Bea, 5SOS boys and 1D Boys" I said
I heard two random Awhs in the mic and I guess Demi and Nick forgot to turn off there mics. The chrowd laughed.
Someone wearing a beast Bea and Demi shirt asked Bea a cool question: What is it like opening for Demi on the world tour and knowing everyone"
"Yes, Beatrice tell us what is it like" I said into my mic
"Lovato I'm going to give you until I am done answering this question to run" Bea said
"To answer your question. Its all so real. I remember when I was younger I would jump around my room singing Don't Forget and now I have a EP and record contract and I'm opening for her. Knowing Maddie and Katie is all a part of the package. They are my best friends and while they can annoy me I love them" Bea said
I didn't take Bea seriously when she said she was giving me time to run...and I totally should have because she set her mic down on the stage and ran towards me. I acted quickly and ran away. While Bea was chasing me Maddie answered her question.
Someone who had this awesome World Tour Poster asked: "You have a pretty voice! Um.. Do you wish you could have a recording contract"
"Thank you. And sometimes I do but that's my sisters thing and not really mine. I love singing up on stage with her and now with Katie and Bea. I would rather run away with the circus anyway. I think Katie should get a recording contract though, I love her voice" Maddie answered
By this point, I was still running away from Bea but Demi finally came out of stage.
"Bea do me a favor and don't kill my daughter" She said in between giggles
This made Bea stop but she stuck her tounge out at me, I felt almost no pain in my knee but I knew I probably should ice it down after the concert.
"Thank you girls for keeping the crowd entertained while I was back stage composing myself" Demi said
"No problemo" We all said
The three of us walked off stage and into the shadows. Nick was wearing a smirk like he knew something that I didn't but once he saw that I noticed he made himself busy and kept walking away whenever I got near. GUH!!!
Demi went on doing her thing...singing.
Demi's POV
I was so shocked when Nick asked me to promise himself to me. Of course I said yes. I needed to go back stage and compose myself. Katie brought Maddie and Bea up on stage and they sang two songs and did a quick Q & A. I got Luke from the room that I had him holed up in and he started to get mic'd on the opposite side of back stage where Katie, Maddie and Bea weren't at.
Maddie and Bea already knew what was going on with Luke so they knew to keep Katie away from that side as well. I sang a few more songs before I saw Luke was ready on side stage.
"Can I get someone to bring me two stools?" I asked
One of my stage hands brought out two stools and set them in the middle of stage.
"Now can I get my daughter Katie to come back on stage?" I asked
Katie soon walked back up on stage and sat in one stool
"Now can I get my band on to leave the stage?" I asked
They all left the stage
"Now can I have a spotlight hit center stage?" I asked
The spotlight hit the center stage right were Katie was
"Now can I get Luke to out on stage?" I asked
Luke joined us up on stage and he was carrying a guitar. He sat on the other stool. I left the stage and he turned to Katie.
Luke's POV
"Hey Katie" said
"Hey Luke" She said to me
"What's going on Luke?" Katie asked me
"Welcome to your surprise" I said
I turned around and started to signed the acoustic version of She Looks So Perfect. It was my first time performing without the rest of the boys so I was a little nevous but it melted away when I started to sing.

When I was done singing I turned to Katie and she was super confused.
"So Katie, You look so perfect sitting there. Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked
"Yes, Luke, Yes I will be your girlfriend" Katie said
I stood up what grabbed her so she stood up and brought her into a tight hug. I gave her a peck on the lips and she blushed when the crowd went Awh.
At this point Demi, Nick, Bea, Maddie, Christina Perrie and MKTO as well as Demi's band joined Katie and I up on stage and we broke out into signing one of Demi's songs Gift of a Friend.

When we were done singing we all said goodnight and left stage. We all went out onto the busses and had fun for the rest of the night. Katie ended up falling asleep leaning on my shoulder and Demi fell asleep laying across Nick. Maddie and Bea went to their seperate bunks and Christina Perrie and MKTO went to there own buses.
Nick gentally picked Demi up and up her on her bed in the back of the bus and then helped me take Katie to her bunk. I in turn hopped into my own bunk. I was staying with Katie and Demi fro a few days and then going to see my family and then joining the boys back on the tour. Nick went and joined Demi on the bed, he was leaving tomorrow to start his own tour.

Hello everyone! Chapter 31 is finally written and posted. I hope you guys enjoy it! I am not exactly happy with this chapter but my friend who reads the chapters before I publish them said it was amazing so yea, I'm going for it.
