Jimin stirs in his sleep and he opens his eyes to take in the unfamiliar surrounding, he was in a bed different from his own and far more cozy and comfortable, the duvet that was covering him was in grey...which he believes was a poor choice of colour to wake up to every morning
Once he was fully awake he looks around, only for his eyes to go wide when he sees the time on the wall 5:30am
Which means he missed his shift at the bar
"Damn!!!" he jumps out of the bed and practically runs out of the room only to stop in his track on seeing Yoongi cramped up on the leather sofa in the living room and jimin's heart beat calms down upon seeing only half of elder's face was out of the duvet which made him look cute.
But suddenly his train of thoughts were broken by the loud barking coming from behind him and he jumps onto the sleeping form of the elder for which the elder yells out of pain and surprise and the whole living room was a yelling mess along with the dog's barking
Yoongi groans "holly-ah, stop" and at once the dog stops barking and goes and curls up on his bed near the fireplace and Yoongi turns to jimin who was literally on the elder's lap and clears his throat
Jimin turns to look at the elder and then looks down to where he was sitting, which was on the elder's lap who was still half lying on the couch, his eyes go wide and he jumps back onto his heels and bows to the elder
"I am sorry hyung, I am really sorry" Yoongi just shakes his head "how are you feeling now jimin" Yoongi asks now standing in front of the younger and forwards his hand to check his temperature
"hmm....fever seems to be gone, but why are you out of bed, go and sleep" Yoongi says while pointing to the door from which jimin came out a few minutes back
"hyung, I am fine now...I think I should leave now" jimin says about to grab his bag
"and go where, to that shabby place which looks like a creepy dungeon" Yoongi regrets the instant those words left his mouth when he sees the younger give him a sad smile "jimin, I didn't....."
But the younger cuts him off "I know hyung, that place is not somewhere you would like to be seen, but people like me are trying to not get kicked out of those dungeons, you see" with that he grabs his bag and walks towards the door only to be stopped by a hand on his wrist
"jimin, I didn't mean it like that...I am really sorry" Yoongi says, not ready to leave the younger's hand
"its ok hyung, I understand that people like you wouldn't even have seen places like those in your lifetime and I am sorry for being someone from there, but I cant help it, thank you so much for your help hyung" jimin bows a 90 degree bow and leaves, closing the door behind him. Yoongi stands there pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.
Taehyung wakes up and the first thing that came to his view was his sketching materials, he frowns at first and then gives an "ah" as if remembering that last night he was completing his sketch and might have slept right then, without cleaning his mess
He sits up on the bed with a smile and keeps his pillow away and then searches for his sketch book under the mess, praying that it wouldn't be damaged.
He finds it under the covers and thankfully it was ok, he flips the pages to find the sketch he had ran to his room to complete, once he was done talking to Jin hyung
He smiles at the sketch, it wasn't that great but he was happy because of the smile that he managed to see and covey into his sketch. He completes it by signing down his initials and deciding to give it to his hoseokie hyung....when he feels confident enough to show his sketches to someone who is not his Jin hyung or Jimin
And the thought hit him "by the coming Sunday, he will be married to Jung Hoseok"
Thinking about that, a shiven runs down his spine and a something strange happens at the pit of his stomach that he can't really decipher
He was going to live with someone, he just met a month ago
For the rest of his life, he was going to wake up to that man
How will the marriage turn out to be, will it be like his grandparents or will it be like his parent's?
What if he screws something up and Hoseok decides to leave him on his own?
All kinds of negative thoughts come rushing to his mind and his breathing becomes erratic, he closes his eyes to calm himself down which didn't help him much because the instant he closes his eyes, Hoseok's face comes in front of me and suddenly he was afraid of the elder's angelic face.
He forwards his fist to punch his own chest which was beating at a monstrous speed.....he was actually having a panic attack.
He could hear his phone ringing at the side table and he so wanted to attend the call...but he really couldn't move....he then hears the faint sound of his door opening and his Jin hyung's muffled voice comes to his ears but he couldn't really see anything, his vision was blurred by his tears
As soon as Jin enters his brother's room for his usual mission wake up Taehyung, his eyes go wide to see the state in which his dongsaeng was and in an instant he knew that Taehyung was having a panic attack after years.
Jin rushes to taehyung's side and hugs him "tae, calm down..everything is fine, breath with me" jin starts breathing slowly and Taehyung follows suit and after a lot of reassuring words and constant breathing, Taehyung felt relaxed and he hugs jin tight
"hyung!! I don't want to get married" comes taehyung's muffled voice and jin frowns but decides to say nothing, instead he pats his dongsaeng's head lovingly.
Namjoon enter's the livingroom tiredly and sighs at the quietness of the house, he remembers the events of the past weekend...more specifically of the past two days.
On Saturday morning it was fine with Yoongi being there with them till afternoon but later in the evening namjoon's mother appears at their doorstep, kissing both of them lovingly.
"aigoo!!! My sons are all grown up and looking very handsome" she says while entering their apartment and making her way into the living room followed by a delighted kookie and a groaning Namjoon
"omma, how is appa....why didn't he come?" kookie asks while flopping down next to his mother.
"Jungkook-ah, appa was busy...why don't you come and meet him at home, its been ages since you both have visited" their mother says while caressing jungkook's hair while Namjoon sits opposite to them with a look of worry at the reason of his mother's arrival and slight jealousy at the affection kookie was showing towards his mother...not like he was going to admit that he was.
"what brought you here, mother?" Namjoon asks with a curious gaze
"oh cmon joonie, cant I just come to meet my sons?" namhi pouts looking at her son
"ofcouse yo can, but I thought you like meeting kookie at his university" Namjoon says indicating to the suitor's file incidence
Namhi gives a sheepish smile while kookie stands up to go and make some tea for them.
Once kookie leaves Namjoon says "you shouldn't have done that mother"
"I am sorry joonie, but you weren't even ready to look at them and I thought that if Jungkook was to give you those, you would" his mother says with guilt
"you were mistaken mother, coz I didn't" saying that he goes to a drawer and pulls the brown envelope and keeps it on the coffee table and pushes it towards his mother "you can take it back with you mother"
"but joonie, how long are you going to live like this joonie, both of you need to make a family of your own" that's when kookie enters the livingroom with the tray and sets it down on the table
"kookie, am I not right?" namhi asks turning her attention to kookie and Namjoon too looks at him, anticipating his answer
Kookie looks at the mother-son duo, mother was looking at him with pleading eyes while Namjoon was looking at him as if expecting him to say something
"i...I think.......mother is right" kookie says looking down at the floor and hence was not able to see the look of disappointment that washed over namjoon's says but he could clearly hear the deligted squeal that escaped Namhi's mouth
"see, even kookie agrees with me joonie"
"I heard him mother, if everyone believes that, this is the right thing to do then I will meet whoever you want me to meet, just let me know, when" Namjoon says his eyes not leaving jungkook's eyes, who lifted his head as soon as he heard Namjoon agreeing to the proposal
Oblivious of the happenings, Namhi claps her hands and announces a dreadful news "this is perfect, I have already arranged for you to meet someone tomorrow for lunch, how is that?"
Jungkook looks at namhi shocked while Namjoon just keeps on looking at Jungkook
"I guess, that's fine" Namjoon replies without any emotion and Jungkook feels like someone was strangling him, right then and there
"amazing" saying that she hugs kookie who was right beside her and then goes and hugs Namjoon who gives her a forced smile
"then, I'll get going and let the jeongs know that we agreed" she happily jumps
Once they were done drinking the tea, Namhi happily strolls towards the exit and leaves and finally an awkward silence engulfs them which was new in that household
"hyung, are you.............really going tomorrow?" Jungkook asks looking at his hyung who was standing there with no expression but he gives a small smile at jungkook's question
"why, kookie? Even you agreed with mother that I should find someone to make a family of my own, so for that I must go" Namjoon says matter of factly and Jungkook feels namjoon's face getting blury with each passing second
"and don't worry, once I am done, I am sure, mother will find someone for you as well, to start a FAMILY with and I'll try to make it fast" Namjoon says every word with a mix of anger and sadness. If he had any doubt earlier about Jungkook not liking him that way, then it was confirmed that he did not by the way he gave his answer to his mother and Namjoon felt betrayed.
He was sure that Namjoon was nothing more than a hyung to him so he should let him go
With that being said Namjoon leaves to his room and Jungkook just stands there not believing what he had done
He has never ever denied whatever lady kim has asked him to and that was the sole reason why he said what he said but he never had any idea that things would go this fast. Moreover who was he to say no to that question but he never thought that Namjoon would actually agree
And that was the night it all started, they haven't talked after that day other than their usual good morning or good night excluding all the hugs and kisses and Namjoon could clearly tell that Jungkook was definitely avoiding him, by the way he left even before Namjoon was awake. And lets not even talk about that meeting at all.
Jin and Taehyung were sitting at the kitchen counter, having pancakes that jin made, since their mother will be back only by the evening, they never eat in that big dining hall if their mother was not there, the kim brothers prefer the small cozy kitchen counter instead.
"so....what happened?" soekjin asks looking at his now calm brother
"i..i just thought of some things" Taehyung says while stuffing his mouth with pancakes for which seojin nods
"like?" Taehyung keeps his cutlery down and sighs
"hyung I am afraid" Taehyung finally says his thoughts out loud
"for what tae?"
"what if I fail everyone just like everytime, what if I am not something that Hoseok hyung expects? What if things don't workout?" Taehyung says worriedly
But instead of comforting his dongsaeng, Jin starts laughing and soon his windshield wiper laugh makes an appearance and Taehyung just pouts
"hyung, I am worried here and you are laughing at me"
Jin laughs harder "tae...I cant believe you are actually having cold feet and there is still one week left for the wedding, there is still time for that" seokjin says while seizing his laughter and moves to drape his arm around his brother's shoulder who was still pouting
"listen tae.....its all going to be fine and don't you know that no one can not like you.....and I am sure that you will make an amazing life partner and look at Hoseok, he has already started thinking about you, right?" Taehyung nods "and these kinds of doubts are bound to come to anyone's mind and we cant predict what will happen in the future, so all you can do is try to be optimistic, ok?" Taehyung nods again
"no marriage is perfect Taehyung, two people involved make it perfect, so throw all your doubts away and enjoy your life as a bachelor which wont last for long, ok" jin says with a smile for which Taehyung smiles as well
"but if you still don't want to get married, I will call Hoseok and let him know that" saying that seokjin takes out his phone and pretends to call Hoseok
"hello Hoseok-shii............" but before jin could say anything further, he was tackled by Taehyung onto the floor and jin just laughs at his brother
Oops, I was supposed to give the photoshoot chapter but this was needed...sorry...next one will definitely be that and then wedding ;)
