Shady woke up to see that it was midnight. She jumped out the window and flew to where Drake was waiting.
"Hi Shady!" He said, smiling. "What are we going to do tonight?"
"I need your help." She said. "Do you remember what I told you about when I became Demonic?"
Drake's smile faded. "You were poisoned by a blade coated in cobra venom." He said. "Why? Is something wrong?"
Shady shook her head. "Nothing's wrong," She said, holding out her hands. "But I need to know if you can help me with something."
Shady's palms burst into a raging inferno, making Drake jump back. The fire twisted and turned to form the Flame Vision. "This is the man that murdered my family." Shady said as Drake came closer to inspect the flames. "Do you think you could help me find him?"
Drake nodded. "It just so happens my neighbor is a police officer." He said. "He may be able to help you find this guy."
Shady smiled, excitement caused her to lose focus and end the vision.
"When do you think we could go ask him?" She asked. "Right now?"
Drake shrugged. "He'll most likely be asleep by now," He said. "But we could go wake him up, he'll just be a bit grumpy."
"Come on," he said as they started to run down the street. "This way!"
Shady followed close behind.
This is it, She told herself. I'm going to find the murderer!
Shady was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice the small black shadow chasing after her.
