No ones PoV:
Dean and Sam were sitting in baby when all of a sudden a phone started ringing. Not unusual for the boys to receive phone calls, the only problem with this one was that... it was their dad's phone. Dean quickly opened the latch securing all the old phones in case of emergencies and Sam muttered "is that Dad's phone?" while Dean only nodded in response before answering.
"Hello" Deans deep voice spoke.
"Hello, is this John?" A strangers voice came out the other end, seeming sad, or disappointed but Dean didn't care he just wanted to know why this man wants his father.
"Umm, no John can't come to the phone right now, you can tell me what's wrong and I'll tell him " Dean replied looking at Sam who was confused, considering they was lying as well.
"No, no. I need John Winchester, tell him that Adam Milligan wants him... he knows me" Adams voice came through, seeming more upset than before.
"Well sorry to tell you this pal but John died, two years ago. Who are you?" Dean questioned, now getting annoyed at this 'Adam' guy.
"I'm, I'm his son" and that sentence made Dean freeze in his place, still driving as Sam heard everything quickly grabbing the phone from Dean.
"Hey, um, Adam. My name is Sam. I just heard everything and I'd like to speak to you... Lebanon Kansas, Okay, that seems good, speak to you soon" and then Sam ended the call, Dean was still in shock.
"Dean..." Sam asked but got no answer.
"Dean!" Sam spoke more sternly finally getting Dean out of his place.
"What? What...? Did you hear that?" Dean was asking a hundred questions at once.
"Yes, we are going to meet him at this small diner, we need to see whats going on. For all we know this could be a hunt in disguise, a shapeshifter, a djinn who knows, we just have to find out what's going on" Sam spoke confidently as he watched the ride ahead of him.
"Sam, he is lying, dad never had any other kids, he would've told us" Dean explained making Sam shake his head.
"Well, look at how me and you tuned out. He had the perfect chance to make one of his kids happy, I would've took it as well... this could be a monster or it could be our half brother Dean, we need to be ready for either, okay?" Sam questioned as Dean gave a small huff and a effortless nod.
"Let's get to it then, where are we going?" Dean asked.
"There's a diner, about forty five minute drive away, should take us half an hour if we drive quick" and with that they both sped off, ready to meet this 'Adam Milligan'.
Thirty five minutes later:
Y/n's PoV:
"Are you ready Y/n?" Adams voice spoke out to me, catching me out of my haze, even if I only shrugged for a answer.
"Y/n, you have to make sure you be nice to them. These men could help us and we need all the help we can get at the moment... Okay" he crouched down in front of me outside the diner.
"Okay Adam" my small voice spoke making Adam smile and give me a hug.
"Okay kiddo! Time to meet these guys" and with that last sentence I quickly grasped onto Adams hand as he pushed the door open, looking for two men and quickly asking if one of them was "Sam" before sitting down with me. All I done was avoid their gaze and pick at my fingers.
"Hi Adam. I'm Sam, this is Dean" Sams voice spoke.
"Hey, we didn't know what to get you so here's some water?" The short haired man's deep voice spoke out, I think his name was Dean, making me tense and go into the corner of the chair.
"Thanks, I needed it" Adam mumbled as he watched me, sending a reassuring smile.
"Hey, you seem too young for a kid?" Sam questioned as Adam laughed and looked at me.
"No, no. She's not mine. She's my sister, her name is Y/n. How old are you Y/n?" Adam questioned me and I held up my hand, showing I was five.
"Wow!" Sam spoke enthusiastically, while Dean was staring at me, I didn't like that.
So I quickly grasped onto Adams arm as as sign of comfort.
"You couldn't leave her with your mom? And why doesn't she speak? god the kids more quieter than a mouse" Dean asked annoyed as Sam tried to subtly nudge him.
"Well, um. Y/n can you go to the toilet for me and get me a tissue please" Adam looked at me and I silently nodded as I got up from the chair and quietly walked to the toilets.
Adam's PoV:
"Okay, so to answer your question, mine and Y/n's mom is dead, Okay, she passed away which is why Y/n is always quiet, my mom was in a car accident, Y/n was with her and only she got out, Y/n hasn't spoken much since, hell I don't blame her, so if you have questions about her, tell them me while she's not here" I answered to Sam and Dean as guilt flashed across Sams face while Dean was still being cold hearted.
"Okay then. How did your mom meet John?" Dean questioned me and a smile graced my features.
"A hospital" I chuckled.
"John came in pretty broken up, so my mom helped him, he got injured something about a bad hunt"'I concluded as Dean rolled his eyes.
"When did he first see Y/n?" Sam asked, showing concern for her, she had that affect on people.
"Hell, he never bothered with Y/n, he took my out all the time, and he knew my mom was pregnant with Y/n but he never cared, he just left her, he only saw her last year at my moms funeral, barely spoke to her and she didn't even know who he was. John might of been our father but hell we didn't have one, you don't do that to your kids, I have raised Y/n these past five years, four of them with the help of my mom yes but... she's all I've got".
"When did you first see John?" Dean questioned again, dismissing my speech.
God what was wrong with this dude.
"Six years ago, I was twelve. He took me to my first baseball game" I hummed in response, still smiling from the memories of my dad.
"My mom had one of his old phone numbers, and after begging and begging she finally called it and he agreed to meet me, hell he drove all night" I recalled to them and Sam smiled while Dean looked... angry.
"Your lying" Dean concluded making me look at him in shock.
"No I'm not" I argued back.
"Yes you are" He spoke again.
"I'm sorry but who the hell are you to call me a liar?!" I got closer to his face as venom laced my tone.
"John Winchester's sons, we are John Winchester's sons... not you" Dean looked over at Sam who looked apologetic but I couldn't care less, I had brothers.
"I have bothers" I spoke my thoughts out loud.
"No you don't have brothers, your not his kid!" Dean responded angrily.
"Yes I am! And so is Y/-" I tried to finish my sentence before a soft small quiet voice caught my off guard.
"Ad-Adam" Y/n's voice spoke making my eyes shoot up to hers as she waved the tissue in my face.
"Thanks baby" I mumbled as I pretended to blow my nose, Y/n giggling in response, making both the boys smile, despite their tough exterior.
"Y/n, you know Sam and Dean, they are your brothers as well" I spoke softly to her.
"No, only you" she protested and Dean done a hum in agreement.
"Dean, shut up!" Sam scolded.
"She said it" Dean huffed like a child.
"No, me, Sam and Dean, you know John, our dad, he is Sam and Deans dad as well" I spoke to her again and she gently placed her hand in front of Sam. Sam looked over to me confused.
"It's a sign saying she trusts you, she wants you to trust her back" I answered and Sam nodded putting his large had on top of hers, and she quickly smiled before retreating her hand.
"Thank you Y/n" Sam whispered to her as she mumbled a "it's okay". However Dean was looking at her expecting the same treatment, so I decided to be the big big brother for the first time and asked Y/n "does Dean get one as well?". All she did was look down at her feet, I sent Dean a apologetic smile but he spoke in a whispered voice "Y/n" and her gaze immediately found his as he placed his hand out in front of her, using her own tactics against her, which worked as her hand soon fount his and he gave it a small kiss.
"Thanks Dean" I mouthed and he smiled at me.
"Sammy and Deany part of our family?" She questioned again.
"They sure are baby" I answered.
And that was how our lives would forever change by meeting two awesome people, and for me making that call.
