《Matt, can I talk to you for a second, please?》I rubbed my hands together nervously and looked everywhere else but at my fiancé.
Matthew glanced up at me from his chair and tilt his head to the side. His soft fluffy raven hair flew into his face as the wind blew around him. He raised his eyebrow and looked at me insistently, trying to read through me. --《Sure》he eventually spoke softly.
I moved on the side and eventually walked towards the high white gate that determined the boundary of the garden. The boy followed me right away, impatient to know what I had to tell him. I stopped and turned so I could face him, waiting for him to come to a complete stop himself.
《So what's this about? You regret the engagement?》his voice cracked as the words left his mouth.
《What? Of course not》I assured him immediately,《It's not that》
《So what is it?》
《I just- something happened and I feel so bad for not telling you earlier》my cheeks grew warmer, I looked away. --《I'm.. sorry》
《Baby, what's that?》Matt sweetly asked, holding my hands in his in a quick smooth movement. I intertwined my fingers with his and smiled weakly at his manners. How could one be so sweet and tender, but also funny and hella attractive, and all at the same time?? Matthew really was something else, something out of this world.
《I- uh, I had a sort of um panic attack?》I stuttered awkwardly, my voice shaking.
《You what? When? Baby why didn't you call me?》he panicked, letting go of my hands abruptly. I frowned at the gesture and looked up at him very slowly.
《I didn't want to bother you I guess?》I answered with a low tone, he growled and scoffed, throwing me a disapproval look. --《The fact is that.. I thought I could go through it without you. But.. I was wrong, I can't. The only thing that calms me down is your voice, and believe me when I say I'm so so sorry I didn't call you. I'm sorry》
Matt unexpectedly pulled me against his chest and wrapped his warm long arms around me, keeping me warm and safe. And I really felt safe with him.
《Matt, baby, before meeting you I would spend my days locked into my room because it was my comfort zone, and I felt extra safe there》
《It's okay now, I'm here with you》he whispered sweetly into my ear, his warm breath tickling my skin.
《I, yes. I found my new comfort zone》
《My house?》he furrowed his eyebrows, a small chuckle slipped out of my lips.
