I sigh as I read the message on my phone.
Aunt Diana: Hey, sweetheart. Do you want to come to my office tomorrow?
It's been five days since I came back from LA. Aunt Diana and I had a lot of fun when we went shopping. She's so cool and I enjoyed spending time with her.
She said that she wants us to do something again if we come back here.
I enjoy spending time with her but it feels weird because she's Liam's mother.
They have the exact same smile and she calls me sweetheart!
I'm trying to get him out of my heart but she reminds me of him.
Me: Sure. Can't wait!
I send the reply and another message suddenly flashes on my phone screen again.
Nicole💕: Come sleepover at my house, please.
I smile and quickly text her back.
Me: And listen to you snore? No thanks.
Nicole💕: I promise I won't snore tonight.
Me: It's not something that you can control.
Nicole💕: You're being mean, Amelia. I really need to tell you something.
Me: Fine, I'll come.
Nicole💕: Yay! Love you.
I chuckle and reply.
Me: Love you more❤️❤️❤️
"I want you to write a two thousand word essay on women empowerment. Remember it needs to be legit." My English professor says.
With a huff, I get up from my seat and rush to the out of the class.
As I am walking I hear Caleb Cooper call my name.
I turn around and smile. "Hi, Caleb."
He comes and he hugs me. "You look so beautiful." He says huskily as I break the hug but he keeps his hands on my waist.
"Thanks, Caleb. You don't look bad yourself." I give him a smile.
He smiles back. "So I really need to talk to you."
"Yeah? About what?"
"It's kind of personal. Can we go somewhere private?" He asks with a soft blush on his cheek.
"Sure."
He takes his hand from my waist and puts it on my shoulder as we walk.
We stop at the back of the administration building. Only a few people are here and they all seem to be leaving.
"So what do you want to talk about?" As I say that, my heart drops.
Liam.
He is passing over with his hands in his pockets. Seeing him, I realize how much I've missed him.
He's wearing blue skinny jeans and a white button-down shirt but half of the buttons seem to be undone.
His hair is in its usually sexy messy style. He's grown a little stubble and that makes him look more handsome.
Our eyes meet and then his switch to Caleb. I see his jaw clenched and without another glance in our direction, he passes us.
"I heard that two you broke up." Caleb gently pushes me against the wall.
Okay, what is going on?
"Yes, we did," I reply to his question.
He brings his hands up and strokes my face with his knuckles.
I bite my lower lip. "What are you doing, Caleb?"
He shakes his head. "Nothing, I'm just trying to talk." He presses his body against mine and brings his face close to mine. "You know you can do so much better than Black."
I struggle to push his body away but he is too strong. "Get off me, Caleb." I groan.
"Oh, come on, Amelia. You know that you and I can have way more fun." He kisses me and I raise my hand and slap him across the face.
"What's wrong with you?" I yell at him, angrily.
His face darkens and he roughly pushes me against the wall again.
He starts running his hands all over my body and kissing all over my face as I scream for help.
Memories of what happened when we got kidnapped flash in my brain as I continue crying for help.
Thankfully, someone comes and pushes him off me. I fall on the floor and start wiping my tears as the person throws Caleb on the ground.
I gasp as I realize who my savior is.
Liam.
He is now on top of Caleb throwing angry punches at him. "How dare you fucking touch her?" He yells and punches him harder.
"HOW DARE YOU?" He starts kicking Caleb's body. "I'm going to fucking kill you."
He roughly grabs his collar and lifts him off the ground only to throw another punch in his face. He brings his knee up and kicks him in the groin. Fuck!
Liam brings his hands around Caleb's neck and chokes him.
My eyes widen. "Liam!"
"Shut up!" He snaps at me.
"No, Liam. It's enough, you will kill him." I cry.
"That's the fucking plan." He says and chokes Caleb harder.
Oh my God.
"Please, Liam," I beg.
He looks at me, his eyes softening and then he lets go of Caleb who falls on the floor coughing.
I turn my head to Liam whose chest is rising up and down with his fists clenched. "Touch her again and I will kill you." He says to Caleb and leaves but I didn't miss the glare he gave me.
I keep sitting there on the floor, listening to Caleb's groans. My body is literally shaking.
Why is this happening to me?
I pull my knees up and rest my head on them. I start crying softly for many reasons.
I cry because of what one of my friends just did, I cry because I miss my friends and most of all, I cry because I miss Liam.
Suddenly, I stop hearing Caleb's groans. The sounds of birds chirping also seem to die.
My eyelids become heavy and I lose consciousness.

When I wake up, I feel someone holding my hand. The hand feels a little bigger than mine and kind of masculine.
Is it Liam?
But he left me with Caleb behind the admin block. Why is he here now?
I grip the hand and I hear a relief sigh.
"She's awake."
Tyler Williams. My best friend and the asshole who has been ignoring me for weeks.
I open my eyes and I see that I'm in the school clinic. The nurse is standing by the bed looking at me. I turn to my right and I see Tyler sitting on a chair with his hand in mine.
"What are you doing here?" I glare at him and yank my hand away.
He runs his hand through his hair and looks down. "Liam called Rob and me to go check up on you after he left. When we went there we found you unconscious and brought you here."
"Where is Caleb?" I can't help but ask.
He was pretty hurt.
"At the hospital."
I frown. "What?"
"Rob and I also gave him a few hits so he kind of dislocated his jaw," Tyler says.
I close my eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. I don't know if I should feel pity for him or be happy.
"How are you feeling?" The nurse asks.
I open my eyes and look at her. "Okay."
She writes something down. "Um, when was the last time you ate?"
I shrug. "I can't remember. I had two apples yesterday."
"How about this morning?"
"Water," I answer.
"Hey." Rob comes in with a food tray in his hand. He drops it on my lap and gently touches my forehead. "Are you okay?"
I give him a hard glare and his lips twitch into a smile. "How is she, Alice?" He asks the nurse.
"Well from what I've analyzed, Miss Smith has been going under a lot of emotional stress and her body lacks food."
I look at the tray in my lap. Spaghetti in tomato sauce, a banana, a fruit juice and a cup of greek yogurt. Wow!
I really am hungry so I pick the fork and start eating. It's so good.
"With the proper care and if she eats regularly, she'll be fine." The nurse says.
"Alright thank you, Alice," Tyler says.
She smiles at him and leaves.
Rob pulls out a chair and he sits down.
I eat in silence while they both use their phones. "Thanks for bringing me here, you guys can leave now," I say.
Tyler looks at me while Rob chuckles. "We're not going anywhere, Kit kat. We are going to take care of you for the rest of the day."
"Why?"
"Because you are our friend, Amelia. My best friend." Tyler says and I scoff.
"He's right." Rob agrees.
"Well best friends don't ignore each other for weeks, do they?" I say emotionlessly. "Nicole, Jasmine, Emily, and Chloe are my best friends," I tell them both.
"Things have been so messed up for all of us, Amelia. You included and they got worse after you broke up with Liam." Rob says.
"Whatever, does anyone know I'm here?" I ask.
"Liam's mum is on her way here." Rob answers.
"Why?"
"Your mum is not in town so Liam called her," Tylers says.
I take my phone and start scrolling my Instagram. Five minutes later, Diana Black arrives.
"Hi, guys." She hugs Tyler and Rob. "I haven't seen you in a while, Tyler." She kisses his cheek in a motherly way.
I get up from my bed and I hug her with a smile to show her I'm fine. "I've called Nicholas. He will be having a talk with the Coopers today." She says.
Nicholas George is the highest-paid lawyer in the United States but he still makes most of his money by the investment he has in huge companies. He is Camilla's dad.
"I really appreciate, Aunt Diana but I don't want to press charges. Caleb is my friend." I tell her.
Tyler snorts while Rob scoffs as I say that.
"Friends don't do things like that, honey." She says softly.
"Yes but Liam, Tyler, and Rob have done enough," I say.
She sighs. "Fine but we will put on a restraining order. No arguments on that."
"Okay." I smile and hug her again. "Thanks for being here."
"Always." She says.

"I slept with Colton." Emily blurts.
My head snaps in her direction. "You fucking traitor!" I scream.
Liam's mum dropped me here and she stayed and talked to Nicole's mum before leaving.
I told Rob and Tyler to leave me alone and they finally did. I miss both of them of course but I don't think I'm ready to talk to them yet.
"Yes!" Nicole throws her hands up in the air.
"What happened to be virgins for life, Emily?" I narrow my eyes at her.
She blushes deep red. "I couldn't help it, Amelia. It just happened." She says.
I shake my head in disbelief.
"So how big was he?" Nicole asks.
"Ew!" I glare at her.
"Big," Emily smirks.
"Ewww." I cover my ears with my hands.
Nicole pulls my hands away. "You need to get laid, bitch." She says and I scrunch my nose. "No, thanks."
"When was the last time you got laid, Nicole?" Emily asks her.
Nicole puts her hands over her heart, faking tears. "Do you know how long I've waited for this? Sex talk with my best friends." She fake cries.
She lost her virginity during our senior in high school to her boyfriend, Phillips. I wonder where he is now.
"To answer your question, Em, two days ago with Julian." She says.
Julian is one of our friends. He's also friends with Liam and the guys.
Why am I thinking of Liam? I shouldn't.
I remember the look on his face when he left me with Caleb. He looked so angry.
Was he jealous?
I sigh and rest on the bed. Have you ever made a decision that feels right yet so wrong?
When I broke up with him, I thought things will be better but they seem worse. I'm not happy at all.
"Emily was it painful?" I ask to take my mind off Liam.
"Only in the beginning. He was so sweet and gentle and.... and it felt so good." She answers.
I can't believe my ears.
I rise up from the bed. "When you're hanging out with him, do you ever see one of the guys?" I ask, curiously.
"Yes, one time Ian came when I was at his house but we both ignored each other."
"Did he tell you why they are avoiding us?"
She shrugs. "He says that we are the ones that were being weird and distant."
I raise my eyebrows. Liam said the same thing and Rob said we all had our problems.
And maybe they are right, maybe the girls and I were ignoring them too somehow.
Later, Nicole's maids start bringing a lot of food in the room.
"Who and who did you invite over?" I ask her.
"Oh! I invited Camilla, Jas, Tara, Chloe, Mia, Va-"
"I get it." I cut her off.
A few hours later, everyone arrives. Nicole's house is blasting with music. Everyone is dancing but I'm just sitting on a couch.
I tell them what happened with Caleb and how Tyler and Rob were there for me.
"I know there's a reason why never liked Caleb. He's a fucking rapist." Nicole says.
"He's not a rapist!" I defend. "He was just trying to kiss me."
"Well whatever, I hope my dad is done with the restraining order. It's better is he never stays close to you again." Camilla says.
She sits on the couch in her black and white pajama shorts and a tank top.
"But I just don't get why you don't hang out with the guys anymore." Tara wines.
"Yeah." Mia pushes a strand of hair behind her ear. "I can't believe that Jamie was strong enough to break your friendship." She pouts.
Nicole frowns angrily. "He was strong enough to make it. Breaking our friendship was probably the easiest thing he's ever done."
I nod my head in agreement.
