Jennie's POV

As I walked into the house, I felt like crying. I said goodnight to the girls and headed towards my room. Jin was thankfully asleep by then. I went into the bathroom and peeled off my dress. I turned on the shower and climbed in, in an attempt to wash all my indiscretions away. I sank to the the tiled floor and cried as the water pelted my skin. I felt so ashamed.

I knew I was slowly falling for Lisa. The more she let me in, the more I wanted. There was just one complication : I was marrying her brother and despite everything that had happened, I still actually did love him.

I got out of the shower and wiped the condensation on the mirror. I barely recognised the woman staring back at me.

"Shit" I muttered when I saw the marks she had left behind.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I walked into Jin and mine room and climbed into bed. I ran my fingertips against his cheek and kissed him softly. He started to wake.

"Hey baby" I whispered. "I missed you"

He responded by kissing me again. I felt him roll on top of me and for a few moments, I had completely forgotten about what had happened between Lisa and I. He fell back asleep on my chest in a while. I laid there stroking his hair and back. He was one of the most amazing people I knew. I was lucky that he wanted to marry me. However, a part of me also knew that I didn't deserve him.

I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

As I helped Carol prepare breakfast, I couldn't help but feel happy. Slowly but surely, the family started to come into the kitchen. Taehyung came in first as he was always an early riser. He had a goofy smile on his face as usual. Lisa came down next. She looked like she hadn't slept at all.

She held the door of the fridge open and took out the orange juice. She then proceeded to grab a glass and poured herself some juice.

"Morning fam" She spoke.

"Good morning Lis" Taehyung smiled brightly.

"Did you get any sleep?" I asked her.

"Not really. You?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes" I answered.

"Well, I'm glad one of us can rest our-"

"Good morning!" Jin interrupted, greeting us cheerfully.

I was thankful that he came down when he did. There's no telling what she was going to say. He walked over and kissed me. Lisa rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Morning" I smiled at him.

"Hey oppa" Lisa spoke.

"Lis" Jin smiled.

I saw the guilt flicker in her eyes.

"Oh, did I leave these marks last time? I'm sorry baby" Jin said with a grin.

I shot Lisa a glare when she started to laugh loudly. "This is awesome!" She laughed more before walking out of the kitchen.

"What the hell?" Taehyung asked, confused.

"I don't know" I answered sighing.

"Well it's Lisa. She tends on not making sense a lot of times" Jin laughed lightly.

Breakfast was quite hectic. Between the Manoban family, and my friends and family, the house was packed. Once dinner was finished, the rest of the day was spent in preparations for the rehearsal dinner tonight. Jin and Taehyung had went out to do some last minute tux alterations and my parents went with them. It was just me and the girls. Yeri and Jisoo were both napping while Rosé kept me company.

"Jin is adorable" Rosé said.

"Isn't he?" I asked, scrunching my nose and smiling.

"So what's up with you and Lisa?" She asked.

"Nothing" I answered with a shrug.

"There's a very weird tension between you guys" She said.

"Chaeng, I don't know what you want me to say. She's difficult to get along with." I said, annoyed.

"She's definitely a complicated person" Rosé spoke.

"Anyways" I said rolling my eyes "Can we just talk about something else?" I begged.

"Sure" She smiled. "I think Taehyung is cute" She said.

"I guess" I laughed lightly.

Our conversation was interrupted by the sound of two people shouting at each other. Rosé and I both looked at each other as we realised that the yelling was coming from outside. I realised it was Lisa and her father once I saw them through the window. They both looked livid. I watched as Lisa yanked the door open and walked through without closing it.

"Don't you walk away from me Lalisa!" I heard Marco yell at her as he followed her inside.

"Fuck you!" She yelled back. She stormed down the hall and I heard the sound of breaking glass and a loud thump.

"Dammit!" Marco growled. "Carol talk to your daughter!"

Carol sighed and shook her head. "It won't help"

Marco headed down the hallways after Lisa.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"Marco confronted her about her increasingly growing irresponsible behavior. She has also been drinking unnecessarily a lot lately" Carol explained.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked.

"I don't think so but thanks for asking Jennie" Carol smiled sadly.

I couldn't help but feel responsible. I was beginning to feel that I was bad for her well being. I felt like I was slowly driving her insane. I needed to talk to her but I wasn't sure what would happen if I did. I could hear more yelling coming from down the hallway. I heard heavy footfalls coming towards the living area. As soon as I saw her, I gasped. She looked beyond pissed. Her hand was bleeding and it dripped onto the hardwood floor as she walked.

She quickly grabbed her bike's keys from the counter, leaving behind a red smear of blood. She yanked the front door open and slammed it so hard that it rattled the windows.

"Jesus Christ" Rosé whispered.

"I'm sorry about that" Marco said softly.

"It's okay" I said. "I'll help clean this up" I told him as I grabbed a cloth and some bleach.

"Thank you" He said, touching my arm lightly.

I quickly cleaned up the blood that she had left on the counter and the floor. I was shocked when I saw that she had destroyed her great grandfather's clock in the hallway. I could see her blood on some of the jagged pieces of glass.

She was falling apart and I wasn't really a hundred percent sure so as to why. I knew what happened between us was a part of it but there was an underlying darkness to her.

"Is there something I should know about?" Marco asked quietly from behind me.

"I'm not sure what you're implying but the answer is no" I said, lying.

He could tell that he had caught me off guard.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm sure" I answered. "I'm gonna go" I said awkwardly.

The rest of the day passed by uneventfully. Jin, Taehyung and my parents returned and everyone got ready for dinner. Lisa was nowhere to be found. Jin was a little upset but he didn't let it ruin the night.

I wondered if she was okay. I knew that she probably wasn't but I really hoped that she would be.

Rosé and Taehyung spent most of the dinner flirting with each other. We all talked and shared stories. After dinner, we settled into the den. Taehyung played guitar and everyone talked quietly and enjoyed a couple drinks.

We were all surprised when she walked in. She didn't say anything. She just walked through the room towards the stairs. Her hand was bandaged and she looked like complete hell.

Feeling confident, I followed her.

She walked into her room and so did I. She was holding one of her guitars by the neck.

"You gonna break that too?" I asked.

"Maybe" She grumbled.

"Why?" I asked softly.

"I am a damn liar Jennie" She snapped.

"You're not alone" I said to her.

She huffed. "It takes one to know right?"

"Lisa. Stop" I said.

"It never should have happened. I never should have-"

"It wasn't just you Lisa. I did this too. You're not the only one to blame" I interrupted.

"Why did you Jennie?" She asked. Her eyes were begging for an answer.

"I don't know Lisa. All I know is that I'm drawn to you and I can't pull myself away" I said honestly.

"What does that even mean?" She asked sighing and dropping the guitar to the floor out of her hand.

"I'm attracted to you. That's what it means." I told her.

"And what about my brother?" She asked, scrunching her eyebrows together.

"I'm in love with him" I answered.

"That's interesting." She muttered, rolling her eyes. "Are you always that easy or is it just me?" She asked.

I knew she was trying to anger me. "I have only been with 4 people in my entire life and you're one of them. So the answer to your question is no" I said calmly.

"I'm sorry" She mumbled. "I'm just a little stressed out" She said, running her hand through her hair.

Before I could say anything, Jin poked his head into the room.

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yeah" Lisa answered. "She's listening to me rant"

He nodded his head in understanding.

"Okay. I'll leave you both to it then" He said. "Love you babe" He said to me before leaving.

I noticed he had closed the door. He's so clueless, I thought shaking my head.

"What are we supposed to do now? Pretend it didn't happen?" She asked.

"I guess so" I said, shoving my hands into my pockets.

"Why do you look so sad Jen?" She asked me.

"I don't wanna lose you" I answered softly.

I felt her move close to me. I grabbed her unbandaged hand and placed it against my cheek. As I stared into her eyes, she looked so conflicted. She placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I want more of you Jennie" She whispered.

"I know" I told her. "Let's just see what happens. I'll give you what I can. Let's not make it complicated." I said.

She placed a soft kiss on my jaw. "Purely physical then?" She asked in a whisper.

"Mmm hmm" I hummed before her lips found mine. I felt my fingers tangle in her hair as she then proceeded to place kisses on my neck.

"No jealousy" I breathed as she continued to kiss my skin.

By the time we left the room, we were both treading in dangerous territory. I tried my best to hide what we had been doing and she did the same. She was able to avoid everyone for the rest of the night. I didn't have that luxury. The only thing I could think about was her.

I felt Jin's arm around my shoulder and I actually wished it was hers instead. Whatever was happening between us, I hoped it burned out quickly.

I didn't want to tear this family apart.
