John's P.O.V. :
I awoke with a terrible throbbing pain in my head. I struggled to remember what happened.
All I remembered was bending over to pick something up and then getting whacked in the head with something and blacking out. As I remembered this I put my hand on the back of my head where I had gotten hit and sure enough, there was a lump.
"J-John?" I heard a faint voice say. I looked over and saw Nati laying on the ground beside me and a little blood trickling from a small cut on her forhead.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"Besides the throbbing pain in my head, ya I guess so. Where's Luna?"
As soon as she asked where Luna was, I realized that Luna had'nt ever come back. I really was'nt good at this whole protector thing. I had this feeling though that she was ok, but if anything happened to her I would never be able to forgive myself.
"I do'nt know Nati, but I have this feeling that she is ok."
"How the fuck do you know if she is okay, when she is'nt even here!" she said, wwith anger dripping from the last few words. "John I'm sorry I know it's not your fault."
"Do you even remember what happened?" I asked, hoping that she would remember.
"All i remember is..."she started to say, she seemed to really be concentrating on what she was saying,"June! That fucking double crossing bitch! I have a feeling that she is probably at the castle and June is behind it!"
We both were startled when we suddenly heard a rustling in the bushes, but were calm again when we saw that it was just Hoot. He was hopping around, it almost seemed as if he wanted to talk to us.
"Maybe I can use my telekinesis power to some how communicate with it, but I do'nt think it will work." Nati said doubtfully.
"We have to try something...anything, so that we can find Luna." I said trying to encourage her.
Nati's P.O.V. :
"We have to try something...anything, so that we can find Luna." John said trying to encourage me.
I've never heard of anyone that had my ability talking to animals, it was always humans that they talked to. Then again no one ever tryed to, maybe I could be the first. Then it came to me...I understood.
"Hellllo? Can You understand me...Of course not you are just a human." Hoot said as he started hopping away.
"Wait Hoot! We need your help." I called after him.
There was now a slight breeze rustling through the trees and fallen leaves, giving me a foreboding feeling.
"I will be glad to help only, because Luna is my friend though. Sadly my wing is broken though." Hoot said as he indicated his broken wing.
I then rummaged through my pack that had supplies in it. "Ahha!" I said aloud as I came across one of the spells that one of the villagers gave to me, it was a healing spell too.
We rebuilt our small fire and I started the semi-long process of healing Hoot's wing.
"What?! That's crazy! We have to attack now!" John said with a facial expression of concern and anger.
"If you think about it John it makes sense," I started to say, in an attempt to try and calm John down,"If we attack during the night, we will have night as our cloak of disguise."
When I said this John seemed to have calmed down. We continued to sit around the fire while I listened to the rest of Hoot's plan for Lun's rescue.
Luna's P.O.V. :
I sunk into the comfortable upholstery of the coach I was sitting one.
It had been at least twenty minute, since June dumped me into this room. I was alone and all I could do was just sulk in my own misery.
Questions ran through my head as I stared into the flames of the fire like: Why am I here? Why me? What did I do wrong to deserve damnation?
I awoke from my thoughts when I realized that there was someone was standing behind me and watching my every move.
I continued to stare into the dancing flames and letting them warm me, ignoring the hovering presence that now sat next to me.
"I knew you would come." said the strange voice as it snaked an arm around me and pulled me closer.
I quickly slapped it away when I looked over and saw those same eyes and that same alluring smile looking back at me.
Why am I feeling like this? Why do I want to be close to this maniac? He killed my parents, Mrs.Yoko, and Nati's parents... so I should'nt have feelings for him right?
"Ya I'm here! I kept up my end of the bargain, now you hold up your end!" I said sternly to him as I stood up. The warmth of the fire seemed to have left me now.
"And what might that be?" Zane asked causally still sitting on the couch.
"To fucking let John and Nati go!" I screamed at him.
I ran to the door and tryed to get out, but sadly the door was locked!
"Luna, Luna, Luna. Come sit down," he started to say. he soon realised that I was'nt coming to sit down so he continued speaking,"I never took Nati or John, I just had June knock them out."
"What?" I asked as I slowly and cautiosly made my way over to where he was sitting.
"I just told you...I do'nt have them here. I guess you could say that I tricked you." A sly smile made its way on Zane's face.
That bastard! He fucking tricked me! I can'nt believe I fell for it too!
'That's it I have had enough I'm going to change into my wolf and run away!' I mentally said to myself.
Zane seemed to know what I was thinking though."I would'nt try that if I were you," he said as he walked towards me,"There are energy fields that encircle this castle that will prevent you from escaping, so even if you break that door down, you wo'nt be able to escape me Luna."
"Now come here and sit down with me."he said as I unconsciously followed him to the couch and sat down.
I layed my head back on his chest as he put his arm around me. I stared at the flames of the ever warming fire in the fireplace as Zane pulled me closer.
"Can I ask you something Zane?" I asked as I stared into his eyes, that seemed to pull me in.
"Of course. You can ask me anything."he said while lightly stroking my face.
"Did'nt you say that you placed this mark on me," I more so stated than asked,"Why did you do it?"
He looked almost uncomfortable with my question."Look Luna, I admit I was'nt a great person back then...and what I did to your parents was wrong. It's just that once I heard of you, there was something inside of that just, well I do'nt know I just knew that I had to have you and anything that stood in my way would have to be exterminated. You must be tired, let's go to bed."
"I forgive you Zane." I said as I ran my fingers threw his hair.
"Where am I sleeping?" I asked hoping that he would'nt say here, seeing as how this was probably his room.
"Here." he said nonchantly as he stood up and headed towards the closet.
"This is you room though."
"Your point?"
"I'm not sleeping in the same bed as you."
"Well unless you want to sleep on the couch, your sleeping in the same bed as me, because I'm not letting you out of this room." Zane said as he emerged from the closet only wearing boxers and a playful grin om his face.
"I just fucking met you! You are still going to have to earn my trust. I'll take the couch." he almost seemed sad with what I said.
"Fine"
"Do you have something I can wear, since I kind of do'nt have anything to wear to bed."
He rummaged around in his dresser and pulled out a large grey t-shirt.
"You can go in the bathroom to change if you want." he said pointing towards the bathroom.
I grabbed the t-shirt and went into the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind me.
I switched on the lights and looked around. The walls were painted an awful color, but everything else was amazing.The counter tops were made out of a gray marble with some white swirls in it. The bath tub was also huge. It could fit an elephant! Ok maybe not an elephant, but it was fricken huge!
I stiped of my clothes, excpet for my underwear and slipped on the t-shirt that Zane gave me, it barly cover my ass!
I unlocked the door and emerged back into the room. All the lights were turned off, which probably meant that Zane was asleep already.
I maneuvered my way over to the coach, using the warming glow of the dying fire to guide me.
'Man today has been fucking crazy' I said told myself as I got comfortable on the coach.
I mean one moment I'm learning a new animal form, then I come back to camp, and end up here only to realise that I had been tricked into thinking that my friends were kidnapped which they actually were'nt!
All my thoughts subsided as I gave into a much needed deep sleep.
I awoke to goosebumps covering my whole body and a chill that seemed so deep that it chilled my bones. I had forgotten to get blankets and the fire had died now.
'Maybe I can go over to Zane's bed and sneak in on the other side without knowing' I told myself as I walked over towards the bed.
I tip-toed my way over to the bed and slipped under the covers on the opposite side of the bed that Zane was laying on. Warmth flooded throughout me now and I quickly embraced it, letting it give feeling back to my chilled bones.
Suddenly the bed shifted a little bit and I realised that he was awake. Fuck! I should have know it was going to happen though."Finally you decided to join me." came his husky voice as he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer to him, I could sense the playful grin on his face.
He soon drifted off to sleep and I found myself thinking about my marking that he told me he put there, he never really did answer my question of why though...
"If only I could read his thoughts." I quietly said to myself."That's it! I can read his thoughts."
"If only I could remember those words to the spell Mrs.Yoko taught us..."I said trying to remember the spell,"Omno, Trono, Spono." I then placed my finger on Zane's temple trying to pull the memory of my 'marking' to my mind so I could see what happened.
Black mist surrounded me, then cleared. I was in front of a house. It was a small one story house, painted a fading blue color.
It night time, but the full moon cast its light down, allowing me to observe my surroundings.
"Are you sure you want to do this boss?" said a voice as two shadowy figures appeared from the bushes. One of the figures I recognized as Zane.
"I have to have her."said Zane with determination dripping from his voice as they both started walking towards the house.
"She is only child Zane. You are going to have to wait at least till she's 18 and by the time you two got together, that is if she accepted you, you would be an old man!"
"I'm will not be old! I'm 16, I would only be 28 by the time she was 18. I't not that fucking old!"
They soon entered the house and walked down the hallway. They entered a small room, where a sleeping child was, which I'm assuming was me, when I was like six.
Zane and his goon were about tho grab the child when there was a shrill scream.
"I can't believe we forgot to take care of them first!" Zane's goon said, he sounded angry.
The child's eyes shot open as she took in the sight before her. Her mom was screaming and her dad had just entered the room and was trying to kill Zane.
She tryed to get up and run to her mom, but two large hands grabbed her, It was Zane's goon.
She kicked and screamed, but it was useless, he was so strong, she could'nt escape. She was forced to stand there, with his strong rip on her, as she watched her dad's and mom's body go lip. A crimson liquid was now oozing itself out from beneath her parents body as they lay lifeless on the ground.
"Can you take care of this brat now." Zane's goon said as he handed the child over to Zane and took the bloody knife from him.
Zane forced the child on top the bed and lay her down face first on it. He placed a hand on the child's right shoulder.
She screamed as the pain erupted throughout her body.
Zane removed his hand, but the burning sensation still lingered where the marking of the crescent moon and star now was.
The child ran to the nearest corner and cryed as she slunk to the ground.
"One day I will be back for you Luna." Zane said before he exited the room with his goon.
The black mist engulfed me once again, as I started to come back to reality.
"Wow." was all I could muster to say as I lay there on Zane's bed with his arm still draped over me.
"So you know the truth now."he said, startling me.
"H-How could you do that Zane!"I replied as I got out of bed and started backing away from him.
"I told you that I was a messed up person, but I've changed." he was now walking towards me. With every step that he took towards me I took a step back.
"And you thiunk that your any better now by keeping me against my will and keeping me locked up here." My back now was against the wall. Shit! I had no where to run...
"Your are telling me that you do'nt feel anything between us"he was so close now that his hot breath fanned me as he said this.
I have to admit, I felt something for him, but I could'nt let him know that.
"J-just stay a-way from m-me."I placed my hands on his chest in an attempt to push him away, but instead I just ended up how good he felt under my hands.
His lips came crashing against mine. I did'nt react right away, because he had caught me by surprise. He pulled away and looked into my eyes.
The sun now was shining though the curtains and casted its brilliance onto him, making him look even more like a Greek god.
Our lips crashed together once again. One of my hands tangled with his hair as the other felt his bare and muscular chest.
