Chapter 9: The Party
Katrina's POV.
Tomorrow is our last day of school, and then recognition day, I can't imagine it has been a year since we started our first year of high school
"How was, y-your conversation with her last night?" I had the urge to asked him
Last night, Quenji told me about Irish, his ex, they had to talked because Irish won't stop bothering him, I do understand that but there's a part of me getting jealous.
I won't deny, she's pretty, really pretty, she looks so expensive and fierce, she has this beautiful long hair and a model figure, white soft looking skin.
"Okay lang" Matagal bago siya sumagot, napangiti nalang ako, he sounds like he doesn't want to talk about it kaya nanahimik nalang.
We are having breakfast at the moment, this will be our last night here, we're leaving na tomorrow, and later night, may party na magaganap kaya naman excited ako.
"Akin nga kase ito" napatingin ako kay Quira, nakatusok ang fork niya sa isang parte nang manok, ganon din si jacob na katapat niya.
"Nauna ako rito!" Hinila ni Jacob pa usog sakaniya ang fork niya ngunit nilabanan ito ni Quira.
Nangunot ang noo ko nang marealize ano ang pinag aagawan, sa dami ng manok na naka serve sa table, pinili nilang pag agawan ang pwet?
"Ghad! Akin nga itong pwet!" Gusto kong matawa sa sinabi ng malakas sa sinabi Quira ngunit tahimik ang lahat na nagtatakang nakatingin sa dalawa kaya tinikom ko ang bibig ko
Hindi pa rin nahinto ang dalawa at pilit pa din pinagaagawan iyon, hindi talaga nagpapatalo itong si Quira
"Sakin sabi e-"
"Stop" Both of them stop when Quenji interrupted
"Pre, ako nauna dito, papansin naman tong kambal mo" Reklamo agad ni jacob kaya tinignan siya ng masama ni Quira
"Quenji, gusto ko nga yong pwet nya" Quira respond and then pouted
Hindi ko napigilan at natawa ako ng malakas sa sinagot na Quira, kasabay ang pag tawa ng iba
"You want my, what? " Nakakaasar na tanong ni jacob kasabay ang pag tawa
Nangingibabaw ang tawa ni jacob, hindi naman maipinta ang itsura ni Quira, Quenji is just serious kaya pinilit ko nalang din manahimik pero ang hirap pigilan
"Yuck! Jacob, mahiya ka nga!" Quira rolled her eyes
"Ako pa mahihiya? Are you hearing your self?" Jacob can't stop laughing
"dyan nag ka tuluyan ang lolo't lola ko" Sabat nito ni V
Party will be starting few hours from now, nandito na kami ni Quira sa hotel room namin, she's getting ready for the party yet I'm still busy playing Mobile Legends
"SS ka pang gago ka, patay ka tuloy saakin " I laughed so hard, naka triple kill pa ako!
"Bem! Naka rank ako akin na yan!" Inagaw sakin ni Quira ang phone ko, mananalo na kami e!
"No time for playing, bakit hindi kapa naka bihis dyan huh?" Nakapamewang niyang sabi while raising her brows
"Ganto lang ako" Sagot ko, lalong tumaas ang kilay niya sa sinabi ko, I was wearing tank top and maong short, I didn't bother to put make up kase gabi naman
"There's no way, come here! I'll let you borrow my dress, good thing I brought extra, gosh!" She said
Wala na akong nagawa kung hindi sumunod sakaniya, alam kong pipilitin pa niya ako kung tatanggi ako at hindi ako mananalo sakaniya
I wore the dress she gave to me, it was a silk white dress revealing my cleavage, it look so gorgeous, partnered with silver 3inches heels, Quira did my make up, and iron my hair she also added extentions to my hair since it was short, I wanted to refuse but she looks like she's enjoying it kaya hinayaan ko nalang siya.
Then, it's all done! I look at my self in the mirror, I must say, she's really good, potential make up artist ah!
"Omg, you are so gorgeous!" She complimented
"No, You're Gorgeous " I winked at her, she giggled and hold my hand
"We are gorgeous, hihi"
"Let's take a picture first! We look so pretty!" Quira said, tumango naman ako and nag pose sa phone niya, we took a lot when she asked me na ako naman mag isa
"Yes there sa window! Yan! So pretty my bestfriend omg, go fierce, shet I would die for you" pose naman ako nang pose, habang siya umaaktong photographer, inuuto na yata ako nito
"Ikaw naman!" I said, syempre dapat siya din, mas maganda siya para saakin, kaya hindi pwedeng hindi ma picturan
After we took photos ay nag desisyon na kaming bumaba sa party, we are almost one hour late
Madami ang tao at malakas ang music nang makarating kami sa party, I didn't expect na ganito ang mga dadalo
"Bakit ngayon lang kayo?" Sumalubong saamin si jay na may hawak na beer, tinignan namn niya kami mula ulo hanggang paa
"Wow you girls are too gorgeous tonight, napaghandaan" he laughed, umiling nalang ako at sinundan siya, kung nasaan sila quenji
Huminto naman kami sa hindi kalayuan na table, andun sila quenji at ang iba niyang friends
"They're here" bungad agad ni jay kaya napatingin silang lahat
"Wow long hair kat! You look so pretty" V smiled at me, I look at quenji, he's just staring at me
"I'm the one who did her make up!" Quira said confidently
"The best ka talaga mag ayos ng ibang tao quira!" Jacob said, umaktong pumapalakpak
"Eh paano naman ang ayos ko ngayon?" Tanong ni quira, nagtataray nanaman
"Pwede na" Quira rolled her eyes, kaya natawa ako, konti nalang iisipin ko ng gusto nila ang isat isa, ang lakas mag asaran
"What do you think bey?" I asked while looking at Quenji, he's still staring at me
"You look perfect" he respond, I bit my lower lips, trying to stop my self from smiling, nauulol na talaga dito kay quenji
The music suddenly change from loud one to acoustic, Quenji stand up and come closer me, he held my hand and hinala sa gitna, he hold my wrist with both of his hand and I wrapped mine in his neck, then we start dancing.
"You are so gorgeous my love" he whispered, hindi ko na mapigilan ang mapangiti, kakaiba na talaga epekto saakin nang lalakeng to
"Ikaw naman! Masyado mo naman akong pinapakilig" I gigled when I said that
"It's true, you're gorgeous" Lalo akong napangiti sa sinabi niya
"I love you" I said, ngumiti siya at yumakap, mas hinigpitan pa niya iyon
"I love you"
Irish POV.
Gosh! So kadiri, Seeing them at the dance floor, hugging each other, I close my fist while glaring at them
"Bagay sila " I glared at joy when she said that, napayuko naman ito
"The show is over, get ready girls" I sip my remaining drink before I get a chair and slide it through the center, inayos ko iyon sa tabi ng DJ, at umupo doon, I cross my legs while still glaring at quenji and katrina
"Done" Joy whispered, I asked them set up my plan for tonight, Yeri hand me the microphone from the DJ, I tap the microphone causing it to make a noise, the music stop so everyone is now looking at me
"Looks like quen and kat are enjoying the party tonight, how sweet!" I started, everyone is confuse while looking at me, I just smirked when I see Quenji looks irritated by my presence
"Irish!" I heard justine shouted, he is now coming towards me, but I don't give a F, this should be done tonight!
"The show must end tonight so watch this everyone!" I said in victory
sakto namang hinablot ni justine ang microphone saakin, napairap ako dahil huli na siya, binalik ko ang tingin doon sa babae ni quenji, your happy relationship ends here girl.
Video is now presented in the big projector at the center, it was the video I recorded.
"I know your damn play quen, this is all because of the dare"
"Don't meddle with this."
"Why? What will you do huh?"
"You will regret it!"
"HAHAHAHHAHA, No sweet heart, You, will regret what will I do"
The recorded has ended, I saw how katrina expression change, she looks confuse, I laughed because of how stupid she was
I stood up, started to walk towards them, sumunod naman ang dalawa kong friends
"Kung masaya kayo, dapat ako din" I said, nakatayo na ako ngayon sa pagitan ni katrina and quenji, lumapit si quira sa tabi ni katrina, nakatingin saakin nang masama ngunit mukhang naguguluhan din
"Irish please stop" Jacob hold my wrist, nakalapit na siya saakin, lumapit na din ang iba, trying to stop me
"Ano ba! Can you get off me! And you! Wag ka ngang tanga, gusto mo ba malaman ang totoo huh!" Malakas na pwersa kong binawi ang wrist ko sa pag kakahawak ni jacob at tinignan siya ng masama
"Bey uhm, can we talk? Not here please" Quenji said in sweet tone then held katrina's hand which made me want vomit on how corny is that
"Tell me what Irish" Katrina said, not paying attention to Quenji, not even looking at him, I smirked, I'm winning everyone!
"Baby please can we talk alone?" Quenji's getting teary right now, begging for her
Why is he like that? Nasa harap niya lang ako, bakit ba nagb-beg siya sa babaeng toh?
"Irish, tumigil kana" Pilit akong hinihila ni jacob pero nag mamatigas ako
"Fuck off jacob! Ayaw mo bang nalaman ng babae na toh? Tutal ikaw naman ang nag simula, ako ang tatapos"
"Irish anong gulo nanaman ba toh?" Inis na sambit nito ni quira, but I didn't mind her, nakikisali pa siya, wala naman akong pakielam sakaniya
"Niloloko ka lang ni quenji, He accepted jacob's dare to make you fall in love for him, and dump you at the end of the school year" I said straight forward
Natigilan ang lahat sa sinabi ko, katrina still looks confuse but compared earlier, you can see how hurt she gets, while quenji started to cry
"W-what?"
"I thought you're smart? Bakit ang hina mo makaintindi? I said, This was all an act! Because of the stupid dare jacob made, are we clear?" Naiinip na ako ah, how boring katrina is.
"Jacob, you did what?" Quira asked while looking at jacob, na iniwas nito ang tingin at yumuko
"I'm sorry"
I rolled my eyes again, Gosh so dramatic, imma get a popcorn for this show.
Katrina's POV.
"I want to hear it from you quenji, is it true?" I turned my gaze at him, I'm trying to calm my self pero traydor ang luha ko, tumulo ito bigla
Quenji was just looking down, his hand were shaking, I can hear him sobbing
"Quenji, totoo ba?" My voice crack, I hate myself for hoping that quenji will say 'no' when I've heard enough earlier
"Katrina, It's not his fault-"
"So sinong may kasalanan, ako?" I almost shout at anger, after Jacob said that, I cannot control my self anymore no matter I tried, I am full of emotion, anger, sadness
"No, it's just that, hindi mangyayari ito kung hindi dahil sakin"
"Quenji sagutin mo ako please, is it true?" I'm trying to wipe my tears and to stop sobbing but it's so hurt
"So dramatic, let's go girls" Irish said then left
I just ignored her, and didn't care about other people around, nakatingin lang ako kay quenji na hindi pa rin nagsasalita
"Y-yes, but-" he responded
Hindi ko na siya pinatapos pa at mabilis tumalikod para makalayo, I've heard enough, that's it, it's true
Ang sikip ng dibdib ko, hindi ko alam saan ako dadalhin ng paa ko ngunit hindi pa man ako nakakalayo ay biglang may humila ng braso ko
"Kat, let's talk first please-" Hindi niya naituloy iyon nang dumapo ang palad ko sa pisngi niya
"Talk for what? Hindi ba nagawa mo naman na ang gusto mo? You won the deal! Hulog na hulog ako sayo!" Umiiyak kong sambit, nagtuloy tuloy na ang pag tulo ng luha sa mga mata ko, ang sakit, hindi ko matanggap
"Ang tanga tanga ko naman sayo, bakit hindi ko man lang na isip na, na pinagt-tripan mo lang ako" dagdag ko
Ang tanga ko kung iisipin, una palang hindi niya ako gusto, kakaiba ang trato niya saakin, then suddenly he just asked me to be his girlfriend, I am so dump para mag pa ikot sakaniya, ang sakit, ang sakit sakit
Quenji tried to reach my hand but I avoided it, his now crying so hard, He tried to wipe it but it won't stop, he walk closer yet I moved away, he was so close on kneeling but his friends stopped him
"I love you kat-" He said in desperate
"Ang sakit mo naman mahalin" I whispered in pain
I felt Quira's hand in my arms, agad ko iyong iniwasan at tumakbo papalayo, palayo sakaniya, palayo sa lahat, palayo kay Quenji.
