"Thank you.." Maggie smiled as she retrieved the bags from the woman who was on the other side of the counter.
She walked out of Victoria Secret and made her way home. Maggie had postponed the baby shower due to the amount of stress that she was dealing with. Kain would barely pick up the phone, her mom was now worried about her dad, too much essays were being handed out and on top of that, she thought that one of her good friends she had gotten to know better was considered as family. It's gotten to her and she knows that stress isn't good for the baby.
She's downloaded many apps that'll help with stress. Everyday whenever she gets home, she spends at least 15 minutes meditating. It's known to help when under stress. That's what she's read all over the blogs.
She unlocked the doors of her car with the key and put the bags in the boot. Getting in the car, she called Kain once more hoping that he'll pick up but, he didn't. She put her phone down and tried not to get upset about it. Driving home, she just kept on thinking. Thinking that maybe he's cheating on her. Well, Kain is very good looking and he can get any girl just with the click of his fingers. Many girls throw themselves to him, so why not? Maybe he is cheating..What if he's done it multiple times in the past but she just never knew about it.
The more she thought about it, the more she got anger until, she slammed on the breaks. She took deep breaths and shut her eyes tightly. She didn't want to think that but it just came to her mind. She tried shaking it off but she couldn't. She wiped her tears that fell from her eyes and heard the cars behind. She quickly opened her eyes and widened her mouth as she felt her baby kick.
"I'm sorry, baby.." She sighed.
A man knocked on the window and she looked at him immediately, "Are you alright?" He noticed that she was a young girl that was pregnant.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine thank you. It's just the baby but it's nothing to worry about." Maggie smiled.
"Are you sure you don't need me to call an ambulance?".
"I'm sure." Mahogany gave the man a smile hen drove off.
She got back to her dorm and stepped out of the car. Dominic saw her and he walked over to where she was. He gave her a smile and she couldn't help but smile back. He took the bags from the boot of the car without saying a word and helped bring them up. She was used to it. He'd always help and whenever she'd refuse, he wouldn't pay no mind. Many people would just walk by and not do anything but he's actually offered to help just in case anything was to happen.
"Come on...pick up the stupid phone..." Maggie said to herself as she dialled Kain again.
"He not picking up?" Dominic asked.
"No." Maggie sighed.
"I just need to go over the whole plan about the baby shower." She frowned.
"Fuck him and his punk ass, sis." Alessia said filing her nails.
"Sia?" Maggie narrowed her brows.
"I'm sorry but I'm not about to let no nigga make you feel upset. We're gonna have a girls night." She said smiling, "Call up D, Athena and Natasha." She ordered.
"And you, Dominic, gotta leave. No boys allowed, son." She pushed him towards the door.
"A'ight, a'ight. I'll see you later, Maggie." Dominic smiled before walking out.
"You did not have to kick him out like that." Maggie said dialling her cousins number.
"I had to get him out some how." Alessia shrugged and began fixing up the room.
After having called the girls, they all arrived as quickly as possible. They were all sat in a circle on the floor as they spoke to each other about each of their problems that they were currently facing. Athena was up and the girls couldn't believe what was actually leaving her mouth.
She covered her face, "I'm actually saying the truth, guys." She sighed.
"You lying." Natasha laughed.
"I think she's actually being serious because she isn't laughing..." Daina stated.
"I am. Yesterday was the first time I had sex with Titan." She shyly announced.
"I can't believe you. Wasn't you the one cussing him out the first time y'all met and he was trying to shoot his shot?" Maggie folded her arms.
"That's because he was annoying and irritating." She shrugged.
"You being for real?" Alessia asked Maggie.
"Yep." Maggie nodded her head.
A hard knock was heard. The girls all turned their heads. The knock was different. It was different to normal knocks. This one had so much force to it. Mahogany closed her eyes and shook her head. She knew exactly who it was so she slowly got up to her feet and watched as Alessia got the door. Kain stood there with a bear and some flowers.
"Is Maggie there?" He asked.
"Who's asking?" Alessia said knowing damn well who Kain is.
"You know who I am, stop tripping." Kain chuckled.
"There's nothing funny, I ain't laughing. You made my home girl pretty upset, Kain. She's been trying to reach out to you for a month now and you got her stressing out which isn't good for the baby, is it?" Alessia said.
"Wha—"
"A bear and flowers won't cut it. She's through there. We'll be out of your hair." Alessia said grabbing her biker coat.
"Call me if you need anything." Daina hugged her cousin.
"Thanks, D." Maggie grinned.
Kain slowly walked into the house as the girls left, "Yo, wassup? I thought I'd bring something for you and the baby." He showed Maggie the items that he had bought.
"You heard Sia..." Maggie rolled her eyes.
"I'm sorry I haven't been answering your calls. I've just been too busy.".
"Too busy? Too busy? Too busy doing what, Kain?" Maggie asked.
"I've been trying to find a way to eliminate those two punk ass niggas. I'm sorry, my attention should be on you and you only." He kissed her cheek.
"You damn fucking right!" Maggie pushed him back.
She narrowed her eyes to read him properly, "Imma ask you this one time and one time only. You better not lie to me either.." She pointed at him with her freshly done manicured nails.
"No, I did not cheat." He shook his head.
She cocked her head back, "What? How did you know that I was gonna ask you that? Matter of fact, I was not gonna ask you that." She tilted her head.
He narrowed his eyes too, "Then what was you gonna ask me?" He asked.
"I was gonna ask if you called up Sherry about the baby shower but I guess not." She folded her arms and slowly walked towards him.
"So...you have been cheating, huh?" She questioned.
"What? No way! You trippin'." He shook his head.
"I'm not even gonna make this into a big thing." She rubbed her bump.
"Look me in my eye and tell me you not cheating, bae..." She said with tears forming in her eyes.
"I'm not cheating on you, Maggie. I love you." He took her hands and looked deeply into her eyes.
"Don't cry, mama." He kissed her cheek and used his thumbs to wipe away the tears that were now falling.
"I'm scared, Kain. I'm scared that you're doing something back home whilst I'm up here." She covered her face.
"Hey...sh..I ain't doing shit but trying to protect us all from Marquis and Martin." He ran his hands through her hair.
"I know, and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked that." She smiled.
"Nah, it's cool." He pulled her into a hug.
"I really don't want this baby shower to happen. I'm so tired, Kain. At this point, I'm ready to find out the gender on the day of the birth." She sighed.
"Nah, we gon' do it your way and we gon' do it right." He said, "I promise you.".
"Let me call Sherry now." He pulled out his phone.
"Hold up, let me just call one of my boys first." He said walking towards the door.
He wasn't going to call one of his boys. The unknown number texting him again. This was the first time in like 4 or 5 months that the person has texted and he was worried. It was an image. He truly thought that they person had stopped but now, they clearly haven't.

He deleted the message then went ahead to call Sherry about what was going to go down on Saturday.
Saturday...
11:23 p.m
"So what are y'all doing then?" Shereen asked.
"A gender reveal." Mahogany frowned a little.
"It wasn't what you wanted?" Shereen asked.
She shook her head, "It's my fault. I should've made time for an appointment." She shrugged.
"Don't be saying, Maggie." Shereen shook her head.
"Whatever, Ma." She sighed.
"Well, you look amazing." Athena took a step back to look at her work.
"Thank you, Thena." Maggie smiled.
"Can we have a moment please?" She asked her mother and Daina.
"Sure, go ahead and cry it out." Daina grinned.
"I just want to thank you, Thena. You're like the bestest friend ever." Maggie smiled.
"I just can't believe my best friend is having a baby, like this is real. Imma be an aunty!" She squealed and they shared a laugh.
"You know Imma always love you, Mahogany. I'm being serious. Even though we not at the same college together, it's all cool. I love you so much, best friend." She smiled and they shared a hug.
Maggie sniffed, "I'm not gonna start crying, damn!" She chuckled.
Titan came and knocked on the door, "Everyone's here now, so, let's head downstairs." He poked his head through the door.
"Yeah, we'll be down there in a minute." Athena smiled at him.
"Look, this is your day. Don't let nobody ruin it for you, Maggie." She gave Maggie a hug.
"Thank you." Mahogany grinned.
Both Mahogany and Athena made their way downstairs and to the back yard where Sherry had nicely decorated the garden. They decided to host it at Shereen's house, just because Maggie wanted to and they had a nice back yard. Mahogany covered her mouth with her hands as this whole beautiful garden brought tears to her eyes. She looked towards Sherry and gave her a hug.
"Thank you so much." She said looking around once more.
She walked up to Kain and gave him a huge hug, "Thank you for calling her." Maggie smiled.
"You look sexy.." He licked his lips and stared down at her.
"Stop..You're making me feel nervous..." She laughed it off.
"Nah, I'm being for real." He smiled.
"Let me go and find my mom then we can chill, just me and you." He mentioned as he saw Aubrey walk through the door with Kennedy.
"Okay." She smiled and watched him walk off.
"Mahogany, guess who I found..." Daina grinned.
Maggie turned around and her jaw dropped, "Terrell?" Her eyes began to water once more.
"Wassup, lil sis?" He said with his arms out.
"Oh my—I missed you so so much!" She started crying.
He pulled her into a hug, "Don't cry..." He kissed her cheek.
"I haven't seen you in years!" She cried.
"I know and I'm sorry." He looked at her.
"I'm pregnant...." She looked down at her bump.
"You wanna know I feel..?" He asked and she slowly shook her head no.
"We gon' talk...but later." He said.
"But congratulations." He smiled.
Drip City...
5:47 p.m
The strip club, Drip City, was closed for the day due to the special event that Kain and Maggie were hosting at Shereen's house. Nobody was working. They all got a day off. This seemed like a good opportunity for Diego (Martin) and Alejandro (Marquis) to get their hands on Kain's hard-earned money.
"Hurry up..." Diego whispered.
"I'm hurrying, boss." The young boy replied as he tried to unlock the door.
For a long time, Marquis has been studying the club and where all the cameras were placed. They eventually broke into the club and starting tipping chairs over as they walked along. Alejandro got a friend to hack into Kain's surveillance system and to shut all the cameras down. None were working.
"Yo, lil' bro, show us the way." Diego smirked.
Alejandro nodded his head and lead the way to Kain's office, "He has a look on the door." Alejandro tried opening the door.
"This is where I come handy." Chyna, one of Diego's girls, smiled.
The removed a bobby pin from her hair and unlocked the door, "Just like the movies." She grinned and walked in.
"Is this his office?" Diego made a face.
"Yeah, simple, right?" Alejandro smirked.
"There ain't nothing here." Chyna sighed and shook her head.
Alejandro sat down on the office chair that Kain always sits on and studied the chests, "I need to find the key first." He mentioned.
After finding a random key, they trashed his office before leaving. Alejandro picked up the pictured frame of Maggie and Kain. He looked at it for a while before he threw and glass shattered everywhere. He yet again, led the way to Kain's basement where his drugs were kept before they were shipped off to wherever or sold to wherever.
"What's this? Another boring room?" Chyna asked.
"Nah..This is where he keeps his shit." Alejandro said as he tried unlocking the door.
In no time, they walked into the large room where many deaths have occurred. Nobody was here because Kain had given them all a day off. Here they were, standing in the room where Kain's magic happen..

"Okay, y'all, it's time." Shereen spoke into the mic.
Everybody stopped their talking and rounded up to where Shereen and Aubrey were standing, "Can I please have Mahogany and Kain come up, please?" Aubrey spoke.
Both Kain and Mahogany walked to the moms, "Okay, as you all know, we're here to find out the gender of our new arrival of the family. We've got many people who think it's a girl and many who think it's a boy." Shereen began.
"So, we've got a huge balloon here and what we're gonna get our newly parents to be do is, pop it. When they pop it, it'll reveal what gender they're having." Aubrey explained.
"Okay, so, Maggie stand here and Kain, you stand there. You're both gonna pop the balloon at the same time but at the count of three. Before I start the count down, how are you feeling?" Shereen asked.
"I feel so nervous...I think it's a baby boy." Mahogany smiled then she looked at her brothers, Prince and Terell who were watching from the back.
"I'm straight." Kain shrugged.
"Boy, you is lyin'. You know you scared, bruh.." JJ yelled from the crowd and everyone started laughing.
"Don't listen to him." Daina rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"It's okay to be scared, man. I'm only kidding. When I had my baby girl, you knew how I felt but that ain't for the whole world to know." JJ mentioned.
"Thanks, man. 'Preciate it." Kain went to give his cousin a bro hug.
"I think it's a girl but Imma be happy if it's a boy. Me personally, I want a little girl." He said.
"Well, you've heard what they want." Aubrey laughed.
"Okay, y'all, it's time." Shereen said taking a deep breath.
"Okay, on the count of three...".
Maggie and Kain both stared at each other as they held hands. 3, 2, 1...! Kain and Mahogany popped the balloon and the bright colours appeared, making everyone scream as their cameras were filming everything that was going on. Maggie covered her mouth and tears of joy came to her eyes. Kain went ahead and pulled Maggie in for a tight hug.
11:53 p.m
"I can't believe you're a girl..." Mahogany said rubbing her baby bump.
Terell knocked on the door, "Mind if I come in?" He asked.
"Sure.." Maggie nodded her head, "Ooh, she just kicked. She knows her uncle's coming to see her." Mahogany laughed and smiled.
"Damn, I still can't believe that my baby sister is having a baby, man." Terell sat on Maggie's bed.
"I know.." Maggie sighed knowing where this was probably going to go.
"Where's Prince?" She asked.
"He's at the hotel with Pryce and Naliah. They're trying to find a house." He mentioned.
"Maggie, you do know that you're bringing another human being into this world, right?" He started off.
"Yeah.." Maggie slowly nodded her head.
"And you also do know that it comes with responsibilities?" He tilted his head.
"Y-Yeah...Rell, I didn't mean for all of this to happen...".
"What? You wasn't supposed to go out with a thug who's older than you.".
"I'm 18." Maggie rolled her eyes.
"But that still doesn't make it okay! Maggie, you're not supposed to be having kids at a young age whilst you're still in education.".
"I know what I did was wrong and I accept that, Rell. But as you said, having a baby comes with huge responsibilities and it's now mine and Kain's." She mentioned, "I know that it'll be hard and I know that there'll be people breathing down my back but it's what I decided to do and I'm going to have to live with it.".
"Please, just....just leave me alone." She sniffed.
"As big brothers, I feel as if Prince and I have failed to keep you safe. I really do, just remember that." He got up and walked out of the room.
Next day...
1:21 p.m
"This is it..." Mahogany said.
"Drip City?" Prince read the name out.
"Man, it looks good." Prince shrugged.
"This used to be our old warehouse.." Terell said remembering that he used to sell drugs.
"Whatever, can y'all like, get out?" Mahogany asked.
They came out of her car as they looked at the name of Kain's club, "I'll come and pick y'all up in about two hours. In the mean time, just hang out with Kain. And try to get along." Maggie said.
"You talking to us like we kids. We got this." Terell said slapping hands with his little brother.
"Come on, lets go." Prince said waving to Maggie who drove off.
They walked to the entrance of the club and opened the doors. They heard shouting and they both looked at each other. Once entering, the saw Kain and his crew. The club looked horrible. Chairs were tossed over, bottle of alcohol had been stolen, the bar was trashed and the worst part of it was that both Kain's money and drugs were taken.
Kain looked towards the two of them and Callum's eyes widened, "Yo, Prince!" Callum smiled.
"Wassup, man?" Prince grinned and they shared a brotherly hug.
"Wassup?" Terell slowly nodded his head at Kain.
They slapped hands, "What happened here?" Rell looked around.
"Some niggas came and trashed the club." Kain sighed and ran his hands down his face.
"Look, I know you going through some...things right now? But we need to talk about little sister. Last night we couldn't really talk because it was your day." Terell mentioned.
"Yeah, sure. We can head into my office but that's trashed too." Kain shrugged.
He led the way to his office. Kain picked up the shattered picture frame. The picture of himself and Maggie. He shook his head and put it down on the table. Terell went ahead and picked it up.
"You must love my sister..." He said studying the picture.
"Yeah, man." Kain nodded his head.
"I ain't here to give you some long ass lecture but I don't know what you did until Mahogany told me. You deal drugs. Like some kind of King Pin, right?".
"I ain't a King Pin." He shook his head.
"Everybody knows Kain. His father was a King Pin. He passed his shit down to you. King Pin." He shrugged.
"I used to sell drugs and whatever. Matter of act, I worked with your brother but I worked for your father. I ended up stopping all of that shit. It worried my siblings, my father but mostly my mom. I couldn't have my mom thinking that I was somewhere laying up in the gutter. That just wasn't for me. I ended up getting shot.".
"I'm sorry that shit happened.".
"But what I just wanna say is that I don't wanna see my little sister on my TV screen. I don't wanna find out that she's been killed because of the niggas that hate on you. I mean, she knows what she's getting herself into but I want you to also protect her from all of that. Don't be mixing your business and family because some shit will happen. Bad shit." Terell said.
"You understand?" Terell questioned.
"Yeah, man. I understand." Kain said looking around his room.
"I'm only here for two hours until Maggie comes so you need a hand fixing shit?".
"If you don't mind helping.." Kain said.
Terell put his hand out and they both slapped hands.
