The sun was shining, it was bright and a glorious day. Inside a house there was aarti going on with an elder woman and her grand-daughter singing. They finally turned around after the aarti and offer it to other members of their family.
Manorama finally takes the aarti and says, "Hello, Hi Sasu ma why are so happy this morning?"
Anjali who also notices the happy aura radiating from her nani asks the same, 'Haan nani ji, why are you so happy?"
Nani ji walks towards the living room and sits down on couch with the smile still on her face. Manorama and Anjali follow suit and join her in the living room. Nani looks at them and says, "I have made a decision today." She pauses and looks at her daughter-in-law, "Manoroma I know that you will be really happy with this decision I have made."
Manoroma confused at what her sasu ma was saying turns her head towards Anjali and then back at her sasu ma, "Hello, Hi, Bye-Bye Kya sasu ma?"
Nani smiles brightly and finally says, "I have decided that we should get Aakash bitwa married."
Manoroma and Anjali's eyes pop out at the words and blink their eyes rapidly. Manoroma unable to grasp about what she had just heard asks, "Hello, Hi, Bye-Bye Anjali bitiya please pinch me so that I know that I am not dreaming and what sasu ma has just said is reality."
Anjali with her jaw slight open closes it and shakes her head, "Mami ji, you are not dreaming it is real."
"I always wanted chote to do get married first, but it seems that my eldest grandson is hell-bent on not ever wanting to get married." Nani looks at Manoroma with a smile and continues, "Why should Aakash bitwa suffer for his older brother."
Manoroma still unable to grasp that her sasu ma has agreed says, "Hello, Hi whatever you think is right sasu ma."
Anjali all excited says, "Then we should not wait let's start looking for a girl who will be suitable for our Aakash." She looks at nani with a smile and then back at her mami. She drops her eyes a bit with unhappiness as she really wanted her brother (Chote) also to get married.
Mami understanding her sadness says, "Anjali bitiya trust me when I tell you, Arnav bitiya will get married one day." She gently caresses her head, "When he finds that special one, he will want to get married to her."
Anjali smiles at the kind words of her mami and prays to god that her brother finds that someone special who will take in his anger, mood swings and be able to love and live with him as for who he is, how he is and what he is.
Meanwhile, upstairs a young man was yelling through at someone on the other end of the line. He had his Bluetooth placed in his right ear, while pacing up and down in his room with anger evident in his voice. 'What the.. Aman you had to send those files over yesterday." He finally yells a bit more and cuts the call.
He turns around and sees his brother Aakash standing at his bedroom door with a file in his hand. With a raised eyebrow he asks, "Aakash when did you arrive?"
Aakash smiles a little and walks in towards his brother, "When you were busy murdering Aman over the call with words."
Arnav instantly jerks his towards him at the sarcasm his brother just pulled and gives a look like 'don't test my patience' Aakash finally understanding the look tells his brother that he has to sign this file as he wants to submit the quotes into the company before the end of the day.
Downstairs nani tells Anjali that they do not have to look around for girls as she has a girl in mind. With curiosity peaked in both Anjali and Manoroma they ask in unison,
"Who?"
Nani smiles at both them and says, "Garima's daughter."
Manoroma confused at the person's name her sasu ma had just said asks, "Hello, Hi Who is that sasu ma?"
Anjali to with confusion waits for her nani to answer. "Garima is your mother's best friend." She looks towards Anjali as she says that.
Anjali finally recollecting where she has heard the name before and finally says, "Garima aunty, ma's childhood best friend right?"
Nani nods her head in acknowledgement and replies, "Haan Anjali bitiya."
Manoroma finally says, "Hello Hi sasu ma do you even know if the girl is okay looking and everything."
Nani laughs at her and says, "Manoroma I don't have to know, I just know that the girl will have the ideal values instilled her."
Anjali with a joyful smile asks, "Where are they now? Do you know?"
Nani nods her and says, "Garima, her husband and two daughters still reside in Lucknow." She looks at the women and says, "Her eldest daughter's name is Payal and younger one's name is Khushi."
Anjali smiles and says, "I vaguely remember her, as it was a long time, but I do remember going over to her house with ma and chote."
Nani smiles at her nods, "Haan you guys did visit Garima, and you must have been 15 or 16 years old, and chote 10 years old. You guys went over as Garima had just given birth to her youngest daughter."
Anjali tries to remember with a smile on her face and listens on intently to nani. "Your mother is the one who named her youngest daughter Khushi. I still remember when she came home after meeting her god-daughter she had a happy glow on her face."
Nani paused at the memory of her daughter smiling with happiness and a tear fell down from her eyes. Anjali as well started to get a bit misty after hearing about her mother from nani.
Manoroma smiled and had a bit of mist in her eyes as well. "She told me that when she looked into that little girl's face, she saw the image of her daughter-in-law."
Anjali surprised at the revelation that nani just told her and yells out, "Kya? Nani ji ma wanted Khushi and chote?" Nani nods her head, but with a dejected face looks down, "But there is no point in remembering that because chote does not want to get married."
Anjali bites the inside of her jaw and with a sad face looks down as well.
Nani smiles at remembering one more memory and says, "She put a chain around khushi's neck with a pendant on it inscription AK on it." Nani wipes her tears, "She told Garima that from this day forward Khushi was hers and when the time is right she will take her."
Anjali wipes her tears and slowly limps towards her nani and hugs her, "Nani from what you telling me, it looks as if my mother wanted Khushi to be a part of this family very much."
Nani gently places a hand Anjali's cheek and says, "Yes she did, but like I said there is no point."
Anjali shakes her head and says with strong conviction in her voice, "No, if it was ma's wish then I will surely fulfill it and make chote fall in love with one Ms. Khushi."
Manoroma too nods her head in agreement as well as nani.
"But first thing is first, we have to talk to Garima aunty about Payal and Aakash."
Nani smiles and nods her head, "Right, but even before that we have to ask Aakash if he is okay with this marriage proposal."
All three ladies nod their heads in unison, as Arnav and Aakash were seen walking down the stairs. Both of them look at each other and back at the women and wonder what these three were up too.
If Arnav knew one thing, it was that when his sister is involved in some type of conspiracy he was bound to get roped into whatever was cooking in that head of hers, whether he liked it or not. He shakes his head and makes his way towards the dining table.
All the women gave both a warm smile and nods their heads. Arnav looks toward Aakash's direction and asks with a nod as to if he knew what was going on. Aakash shrugs his shoulders and sits down on the chair opposite of Arnav's.
Arnav finally gives up and sits down as well and eats his breakfast in quite. Anjali whispers something to the ladies and all of them give their thumbs up and walk towards the dining table.
"Ummm'" Anjali clears her throat to get their attention.
Both of the guys look towards their Di and ask, "What is it Di?"
Anjali smiles lovingly and says, 'We have something that we would like to discuss with you guys?"
Arnav and Aakash both look at Anjali with curiousness and wonder what.
