I was Sleeping Safely When My Phone Rang .. It was Friday .. Nine in the Morning and It was Janie on the phone ! I was Totally alone in the home , My parents and Tom were out of town to visit some relatives I couldn't go with them because of school and stuff Tom went because he had a whole week holiday I don't know why ! he Just had a holiday .. They promised to be back in the same Day .. Just Let us wish they will carry out their promise ... I sleepily Picked up the phone and answered ..
" Yes Janie !! Did Ed Cheated on You Again ?! " I said as I Rubbed My face I was still Laying on bed
" No !! " Janie asked in a really sad voice she seemed to be crying
" Why Is Your Voice Like that ?! What Happened !! " I asked as I sat on my bed
" Danny's Father !! " she said sadly
" What happened !! Damn Janie stop crying and tell me ! " I shouted at her
" He Passed away !! " she said while crying
" What ! When !! Omg " I fell on my knees on the floor
" From few hours ! But Ed Have Just called me !! and I called you " she said in her sad voice
" Omg ! Omg !! Where's Danny now ?? Do you know where is he ?! " I asked her as I hurried up to put on some outfit
" In the city hospital where his father had been " Janie answered
" I will Go there " I said while wearing a t_shit by one hand and holding the phone by the other
" Wait !! I Don't think you should and What If .. " Janie began to say but I Didn't let her finish
" Goodbye , Janie " I said as I wore my shoes , took the keys and went out of the house
I Stopped a taxi .. on My way there .. all that happened is tears coming down my face while remembering how Danny's father was and how will be Danny's situation now ..
" We Are there Mam " The Taxi driver said waking me from my sad imaginations
" Yeah ! thanks , Here you are " I paid him then got off..I put my courage together swiped away My tears and walked into the hospital ..I walked to the room where Mr.McCall used to stay .. I saw Danny sitting on the floor in front of the room's door with his head down .. he couldn't see that I was there I slowly and Quietly went closer and sat next to him .. Silence was comfortable beside him .. but he never raised up his head ... I decided that I should Say something ..
" Are You okay ? " I asked him ! What a silly Question I have Just asked
" You know ! we were together the night before !! we were playing Guitar and the air was .. Full of Joy " Danny said with tears in his eyes then stopped a while to take his breath .. " HE is Just gone now !! I only went out to bring a glass of water .. and when I came back .. I .. I " Danny said then he put his head on my shoulder and tears came down his face .. I let him cry Because I know It will make him feel better .. But after a while I just couldn't see him like that
" OH Please stop ! I can't see you like that .. He was suffering We know he is in a better place okay .. " I said as I rubbed his back .. I stood up and offered him My hand .. he slowly took it and stood .. he then hugged me so tight ..
" Thanks For Being here For Me " he said while holding me
" You Know I will always be here for you ! " I said smiling .. he then let go " So where's Stella and Gina ? " I asked
" They were all here ... we went to the church , Buried Dad .. then they went to prepare for the funeral tomorrow.. And I .. I came here to check IF we forgot something in the room or any thing .. " he said while swiping away the tears ..
" I am sorry for being that late .. " I said as looked at the floor ..
" It's okay .. The most important that you are here .. " he said as he held my hand we walked out of the hospital..
" Would You like to spend the day with me ? " I asked him
" Yeah " Danny said ..
" Okay let's walk for a while " I said ..We Walked without saying a word Silence was our company but it was comfortable ... we came to the shore .. we walked on the sand for a while then Danny stopped and sat on the sand so I sat beside him .. Tears again began to come down his face and I couldn't bear seeing him like that .. so I thought that something Crazy in that situation would be good .. I took of My shoes and put them on the sand .. Danny looked at me and raised an eyebrow
" Just Do the Same " I ordered him
" Nope " he answered as he looked at the sand
" Do IT please , Please " I gave him a kiss on the cheek that all his face turned into red Which made me want to laugh .. he did so then I stood up and took his hand
" Where are we going ? " he asked
" You trust me ? " I asked him
" Sure thing ! " he said as he raised an eyebrow
" Follow me then " I said as I walked him towards the sea I walked in till half my pants were wet .
" Wait !! what are you gonna do ?!! " he asked
" This " I said as I began to swim
" With this closes !! Kasey !! get out !! " he ordered me as he stood in the water waiting for me to stop swimming and get out
" Make me " I said as I swam farther in the sea
" Shit Kasey !! You are freaking crazy !! " he yelled
" Yes I am ! " I yelled back but continued to swim until I couldn't touch the sea sand under me
" Hell !! " Danny yelled as he began to swim to catch up with me .. he came closer to me and held my hand
" Why did you do so ? " he asked
" Because I felt that I want so ! " I said smiling " I mean !! The sun Is amazing look at it !! and the water is beautiful " I said as I took some water in My hand then let them go .. Danny smiled a little then looked at the shore and found that we were way far from it .. I came closer to him and hugged him he hugged me even Tighter ..
" Kasey ! I Love You .. So Much .. So Much " he whispered in my ears ..I smiled wide when I heard these words
" I know " I said as I kept holding him ... after a while of swimming with our outfits the sun became hotter so we went out of the water .. we stayed at the shore for a while to let out clothes dry .. then I put my shoes on ..
" Move " I ordered Danny as I stood up .. Danny put on his shoes and looked at me with suspicious look " We Are gonna continue our walk " I said as I smiled
" Like that !! " Danny said looking at his clothes then at mine
" Where is the problem ?! " I asked as I raised an eyebrow
" My Clothes still wet !! " he explained
" So ?! " I asked
" People will think that I am jerk wearing wet clothes ! " he said
" Don't care about what people would think !! I am gonna continue walking " I said as I walked a way
" Hell !! " Danny said as he followed me
" Don't say that , That attitude is wrong okay Darling ?! " I said in a Mumy's way
" Okay Mum ! " Danny said as he raised an eyebrow .. we walked till we reached the park .. there was a man selling an Ice cream there .. Honestly I wanted to go and get some .. I love Ice cream !! I mean who Don't !! we walked a little watched children playing here and there but at the end I decided that I should eat an Ice cream .. I came in front of Danny and asked him
" Chocolate or Vanilla ??! " I asked
" What ?! " he asked as he felt confused he didn't know what I was talking about
" The Ice cream , Which one do you prefer ? Chocolate or Vanilla ?? " I asked
" okay ! Chocolate " he answered
" Same as me .. " I said as I walked back to go to the Ice cream man
" Why ?! " he asked
" There's an ice cream car over there " I said as I walked towards it
" But wait .. " Danny said but I kept walking
" Two chocolate ice cream please " I asked the old man selling the ice cream .. he gave me the two chocolate cono ..
" here " I said as I handled Danny one I began to eat and he did the same ... then I decided to mess with him .. I took some ice cream from my cono and put it on his face around his mouth .. he looked like crown .. it was so funny that I pursed out laughing .. Danny at first looked really angry but then he put his tongue out and began to eat the ice cream from around his mouth
" Hmm mm Your Ice cream is Delicious thanks for giving me some " he said
" You are disgusting , Danny !! " I said as I laughed
" Now It your turn taste mine " Danny said as he put the whole cono on my mouth!! it melt and fell on the ground
" Danny you are so evil !! " I said as I threw my cono at his shirt
" Waah Waaah !! playing with the ice cream or eating it I don't care ! I wanna my money ! someone should pay for that Ice cream " the old man from the ice cream car yelled at us making the fun stop ..
" You didn't pay for the ice cream before getting it ? " Danny asked whispering
" all My money is still wet because of swimming !! " I answered whispering
" So Is mine !! That's what I tried to tell you at first but you didn't give me a chance ! " Danny said angrily but he kept his voice low
" Shit " I said
" You two weirdo !! Stop whispering and pay for the ice cream " The old man shouted
" Yes Sir " Danny said as he put his hand in his trousers's pocket " Do you accept Visa ? "Danny asked
" You are in the national park ! Not in the Mall !! " the old man said he was so angry
" Sorry but all my money is wet !! " Danny said as he took ten wet dollars from his pocket and gave it to the man .. It was so wet ..
" what am I supposed to do with that ?! " the man said while holding the money as If he was holding a dead nasty Mouse
" Let it dry ! I am so sorry sir .. It's more than the ice cream price just let it Dry and Will have your money in your pocket " Danny said apologizing to the old man .. But the old man looked really angry and began to call the name of some people ..
" Kasey !! There are two important things you have to learn.. we fight when you can and we run when we have to .. " Danny said I raised an Eyebrow I was so confused but when I looked around us and saw that some guys where coming towards us I understood him
" We have to Run .. Now " Danny held my hand and began to run and those guys began to run after us we ran really fast !! then I looked behind us and didn't found them ..
" Wait Wait .. " I said as I stopped and began to breath hardly Danny Stopped and began to take his breath too
" You Should know .. That It's so much not me " he said while taking his breath
" I know .. " I said smiling Looked and found that we were only one street far from my house
" Hey ! Look Why don't you hang in my house for a while " I offered him
" Great " he said .. we walked till we reached My house I opened the door and we were in ..
" Look ! I am gonna take a shower to remove that Ice cream from my shirt .. You stay here I will be back in minutes " I said
" Cool " Danny said as he sat on the couch
I went upstairs to my room took some sporty clothes from my ware-drop and went to take a shower .. after taking a shower I took the dirty clothes with me and walked downstairs .. I put them into the washer then looked and saw Danny shirtless on the couch ..
" Where's you shirt ? " I asked him
" It was dirty ! I washed it and now I am letting it dry " Danny said smirking
" Hmmm Okay !! Wanna eat something ? " I asked
" Yeah ! sure " Danny said as he jumped from the couch and walked to kitchen after me .. I made some sandwiches and put them on the table I sat on the chair facing him and we Just ate .. when we finished I stood up and took the plates to wash them
" I am gonna check My shirt " Danny said
" Okay " I said .. he walked outside to the place where put the clothes to dry .. I finished washing the dishes and he entered the house with his shirt on .. " Fresh and new " Danny said pointing to his shirt after it was cleaned up ..
" So .. I had a school project .. " I said rubbing the back of my nick
" I can Leave .. " Danny said pointing to the door
" No no .. I didn't mean that ! you can stay with me " I said smiling then walked upstairs
" so where are your parents and tom ? " Danny asked as he followed me upstairs
" They are out of the town " I said as opened my room door
" Ah ! I see " Danny entered the room and immediately Jumped on the bed
" Just don't mess It up " I said smiling as I sat on My desk and put some books in front of me .. I was about to begin when I heard some music .. I turned and saw Danny holding My guitar and playing some music
" I like that Guitar .. Is it new ? " Danny asked
" Yeah !! I bought it five months ago .. I began to learn how to play short time ago " I said as I left My disk and sat next to Danny on the bed
" Can you play any song on it ? " Danny asked as he played some finger picking on the strings
" Not Much ! You can consider me a beginner " I said smiling
" Hmm .. Can you play The chords G F C ? " He asked
" Yeah sure " I took the guitar from him and played them
" Now With up up down down down strum " he said and I did what he said
" Like that ? " I asked
" Yeah ! Now raise it half tone .. and repeat that and put some finger picking style in the middle " he said and I did what he said .. Then he began to sing .. I stopped playing and looked at him
" Me and Dad Were Working on this song yesterday " he said as he looked at the floor ..
I put the guitar away .. came closer to him and put my head on his shoulder .. I closed my eyes for a while .. Put didn't open them after that .. I don't know how did I fall asleep all I know that I suddenly hear-ed my Mum's Voice calling from downstairs .. I jumped from the bed and found Danny sleeping beside me with his half wet clothes ! I can't believe that the clothes would take that much to dry ..
" Wake up !! " I said shaking Danny to wake him
" What ?! " Danny said as he Jumped from the bed
" My parents are here .. and If they saw you here they might get something wrong and .. " I couldn't finish my sentence when I hear-ed Mum knocking on my door
" Kasey ! Are you a wake ? " Mum asked from outside
" Yeah ! Just a second " I said
" What should I do now ?! " Danny asked
" Jump to your house " I said as I pushed him towards the window . he held the tree branch climbed a Little then I heard something drop ..
" Are You okay ?! " I asked him
" I am Fine " Danny said in pain as he raised his hands saying Goodbye
