"Caddie, look up."
Janis and Cady had been rewatching My Babysitters a Vampire, both of them somehow on top of each other on the sofa.
Cady looks up, staring at the green plant hanging above her.
She turns back to Janis who is smiling goofily.
Cady cups her cheek, pressing her lips to Janis's.
"Thanks, Caddie."
"You're welcome."
Cady had just made lunch for the both of them and they were now sitting at the dining room table, eating in peaceful silence when Janis speaks.
"Cads, look up."
Cady tilts her head upwards and she's met with the mistletoe yet again, this time slightly bigger.
"Another one?" Cady laughs.
"I think you owe me something."
"I think I do."
Cady pushes her food aside, leaning across the wooden table and pulling Janis closer to her.
She presses her lips to Janis's once again and then pulls away, a grin on her face.
"I love you."
"I love you, too, darling."
Cady is nudged off her phone when they're both laying in bed.
She doesn't have to hear Janis speak to know she's gonna ask her to look up.
She sighs and then looks upwards, her jaw dropping.
"Janis!"
"Hm?"
"That is over 50 mistletoes!"
"Looks like you owe me over 50 kisses."
