Keerthi and Mukuls wedding was in a week. The wedding was supposed to be ages ago, but for some reason Mukul kept cancelling and delaying. There's something wrong about him, but whenever I express my opinion about him Siddharth just yells at me. I know the only reason he is pushing this marriage is for the business deal, and now that Keerthi is pregnant I know she has no option but to marry him. Not that Keerthi would mind, she adored him.
Today I went to the Indian shop to look for a saree to wear. I didn't want something to flash as I didn't wanna take the attention rom Keerthi. I decided to go for a embroidered gold saree.
I bought a matching golden fluffy dress for my baby. She was just small, so there wasn't any indian outfits in her size. I get her a golden headband and a necklace to add to the outfit. I was in fact shopping alone, well, not completely alone, I had Drishti, but I wasn't with Keerthi. Keerthi had chosen to go wedding shopping with Mukul and her family alone, even without Siddharth.
I drive back home in the new car I had bought with money that I saved up from work. My car wasn't flash, but I figured I needed one now that I had Drishti and often needed to take her out.
I return back home around midday to find Siddharth on his desk with his face covered by his arms. His legs were wide apart and his workbag was dumped across the room. Something was not right.
"Siddharth, Is everything alright?" I ask taking off my bag
He takes a deep breath
"You were right" He whispers under his breath
"You were right? What do you mean" I ask quickly walking to his side
Siddharth looks up at me, and his eyes are red and his face looks tired. He looks like he has been drinking.
"Siddharth... tell me what happened" I ask
"It's all gone!" He yells slamming the desk
"All gone..." He sighs heavily placing his hands over his face
"What's all gone. Siddharth tell me" I order
"EVERYTHING. MY COORPERATION THAT I HAD SPENT THE LAST 9 YEARS BUILDING. ALL GONE" He yells with rage
This can't be true. Siddharth Cooperations was now worth millions. How could all if it go in just a day
"I-I don't understand. How could all of it go?" I stammer
"You were right. You were right about Mukul. H-He! That bastard!" Siddharth shouts
Mukul.
"I knew something was up with him. I kept tellin-" I begin
"I get it Nisha! You were right. I was wrong. I'm such a idiot" He spits
"Don't say that" I sigh
"What do you expect me to say then? Huh? That I'm a genius for losing everything. This is bullshit!!' He yells
"Just calm down. Yelling won't help anything. I'm just as shocked as you are" I explain trying to keep him under control
Siddharth takes a deep breath and slumps on the bed
"It's all over Nisha. Everything" He sighs, almost looking as if he is about to sigh
"It can't be everything right? You only gave half of your shares to Mukul" I say
Siddharth is quiet.
"Siddharth" I say tapping his arm
"Don't tell me you.." I ask
"I told you. I made a mistake. You can't blame me. Who even read documents before signing" He states
Siddharth is no sounding more stupid that ever. Can he even hear how insane his words are
"That's the point of having a contract, you are supposed to read it" I spit now getting angrier
"I didn't know okay, Mukul seemed harmless. Who would've thought he would.." Siddharth shakes his head side to side
"And now he has ownership over everything?" I ask
"YES. And he's already planning on transferring all of our work into his and her fathers cooperation" Siddharth sighs
"Who told you this?" I ask
"He did. He called me just now. That idiot!" He slams the bedside
"You? You are calling him an idiot after what you did. In this situation Mukul is indeed a genius. You are the idiot who gave away everything you worked for especially after your wife warned you a thousand times that Mukul was a cheat" I spit
"What are you gonna get from yelling at me Nisha. I get it, I made a mistake" He yells
"A mistake? Is this what you call a mistake? Don't you release that we have a daughter now? Who's gonna pay for her school and.." I stammer
"Bla Bla Bla. That isn't the issue. We don't have to worry about Drishti or our income. I've got that covered. Have you forgotten about the empire my dad had built in India? We make millions Nisha. I can simply go work there and get earn much more money that you and Dirshti will ever need. That's not a issue" He explains with tension
"Then what is?" I ask folding my arms
"Don't you get it. The reason this company meant so much for me is becuase it was my own. It was Siddharth Cooperations, not my fathers, not anyone elses. Everything, every achievement and every success I had was all in my fathers name. Nobody knew me as Siddharth, everyone just knew me as this big businessmans son. I had no place for myself Nisha. Why would you think I left my fathers empire in India to come to the USA and start Siddharth Cooperations from scratch, when I had all that fortune behind me back home? It was becuase I wanted a name for myself. I had worked days and night building this company into what it is today...and in one night all of it is gone. Nisha, do you have any idea how heart broken I am? Do you even understand my pain?" He asks gazing at me
I did understand. I did understand that he put immense hard work and dedication into this company, and how much it meant to him.
"Say something! " Siddharth frowns
"What is there to say" I sigh picking up the things he dropped
Keerthi
I forgot about Keerthi
" wait. If Mukul did turn his back on you? What does it mean for Keerrhi? He couldn't have.." I stammer in shock
"Yes. He did. It's all cancelled. He got what he wanted. His business is done. Why would he stay now?" Siddharth says
This can't be true
Keerrhi is pregnant. She is pregnant with his baby.
"But she's pregnant" I stammer
"So what? Mukul does not care. His gotten the money and the company, why would he look back at Keerthi?" Siddharth says
My mind is spinning. Keerthi is 3 months pregnant and the father of her baby has abonded this. I pinch myself hoping that this is all a bad dream.... but it wasn't
This was Siddharths fault. If he weren't that desperate about the money and closing a deal with Mukul Keerthi wouldn't be in this position now.
Siddharth is sulking about how he lost his business, when he should instead be worrying for his cousin Keerthi.
I hate to say this, but at this moment I hate Siddharth more that ever.
