So this jumps around quite a bit but like I honestly can't be bothered (I say as I write 5000 words) with the small unnecessary details, so please bear with me ^^.

[Not Edited]

『 Fairy and Tiger 』

[Name] - Third Person

"Hey beautiful, why don't you come with us for a while?" a group of drunkards asked as they followed the girl through the street.

The ruckus that they caused attracted the attention of a certain blond, who followed along.

The girl only shrugged off their advances, continuing down the alleyway. But she only made a few steps before the group's leader grabbed her arm.

"We'll promise to make it worth your time," he smirked.

"No thanks. I have somewhere to be," she smiled sarcastically before attempting to shake his hand off.

"Nah, I'm sure it's not important,"

"Actually, it potentially involves saving lives so it is indeed quite important," she remarked. "So, won't you please let me go?"

But his hands only tightened as he brought her closer to him. "What are you gonna do about it?"

"Hey, the lady asked for you to let —"

"Hard way it is then," [Name] cut Sting off, looking at him with a bright smile.

Suddenly, bright flashes of lightning emmited from her body and the man holding retracted back almost immediately. Her eyes glowed as the drunks all fell to the floor.

"Sorry, I just don't have the time to play around with children who get drunk in the middle of the day," the girl advised with a slight smirk tugging at her lips. "Ah, might have gone a bit overboard but hey, that's what makes a Fairy Tail mage."

She gracefully stepped over their bodies, continuing on her way. She looked back at Sting and gave him a slight smile.

"Appreciate the effort, but I don't need to be saved. I've got to get going now, see you,"

Sting scoffed at her behaviour and was tempted to follow her, but ultimately decided against it. He had a job to complete and the Master wouldn't be forgiving if he were to mess up.

He continued on his previous path towards the forest at the edge of town. Meanwhile, the girl made her way towards the same forest through a different path down the alleyways.

Half an hour or so later, flashes of lightning could be seen hitting the forest. This made Sting frown as he fought off the massive group of vulcans. It look like the magic from the girl earlier.

"What is the Fairy doing here?" he muttered to himself, sparing a glance in that direction. "I don't remember there being another job in this town. I thought that she would be taking this one but she's not here."

He heard commotion somewhere off in the distance. His ears caught yelling but he wasn't able to make out specific words.

Minutes later, two girls burst into the clearing. The one with [Hair Colour] hair had not a single scratch on her face whilst the other was covered in scratches and bruises.

"Jeez, just give up already," [Name] sighed, conjuring a sword made out of electricity. She pointed it at the other girl.

"You should be the one giving up Lightning Freak! I've bested all your colleagues, what makes you think that you can catch me?" the girl growled out, producing a blade from nowhere.

"Colleagues? Oh, you must mean the people from the Magic Council. Sorry love, but I'm not them," [Name] gave her a fake smile, dashing forward to strike.

Their swords clashed and Sting watched in confusion as he dodged a punch from the vulcan. Out of nowhere, the vulcans all ran towards the two, shouting something akin to 'pretty woman'.

"Out of my way!" [Name] yelled as she dodged a blow from both the criminal and the vulcan. Clashes of lightning instantly came down from the skies. The clouds over them darkened as they continuously fell onto the vulcans.

Sting froze for a moment at her effortless display of power. The other girl did the same for a second before she came to her senses. She instantly produced another blade in her other hand and lodged it in [Name]'s arm.

She immediately winced and shrank back, pulling it out. The sword in her hand disappeared as she held onto the wound. Just as the other girl was about to lunge forward to finish her off, Sting stepped forward to intercede when [Name] spoke again.

"Well, guess it's time to end this," [Name] grinned, letting her wound go. "Thanks for making the chase fun but I'll get in trouble if I don't go back soon."

Almost immediately, strings of electricity shot out from her body and headed towards the criminal, who attempted to get away to no avail. The strings quickly caught up to her, effectively binding her and making her fall to the floor.

Sting watched the girl curiously and in admiration. She was strong. Possibly even stronger than him. He could tell that much from the aura that she emitted. For some reason, he found himself intrigued with her. A feeling of wanting to get close to her.

The cut on her arm continued to bleed, but she took no notice of it as she walked over.

"You have something that you want to say, Tiger?" she asked Sting with no hostility in her voice whatsoever.

"I'm pretty impressed that a Fairy can be this strong these days. I thought that tell all died on the island," Sting only commented, following her example and keeping any venom out of his voice.

"Those who disappeared 6 years ago weren't the only powerful ones," [Name] smiled at him.

"Sting Eucliffe," he walked over, holding out his hand to her. "White Dragon Slayer."

"[Name] Dreyar," she shook his hand with her injured arm, barely even grimacing. "Lightning Mage."

"That doesn't hurt?" Sting asked, referring to the cut on her arm.

"Oh this, I don't really have pain receptors. It hurts for a second but then it all becomes numb," she cheerily explained.

"You should go get it fixed up, I'll come with you," he offered her a slight smile.

"Thanks," the girl smiled back, clicking her fingers.

Almost immediately, the other girl was forced to stand up and walk forwards by the bonds. She forced the other girl to walk a distance ahead of her and Sting.

"Sorry for taking your job,"

"It's alright. I was getting bored of them anyway," Sting lied after sensing that she was being sincere.

"But you can take the credit if you want. I've heard that your master's quite the tyrant," [Name] suggested.

"It's fine,"

"I insist,"

"I'll take it then," he smiled at her, making her smile in return.

"Hey, how about I treat you to lunch?" she suddenly brought up.

"I thought that the guy's meant to be the one treating the girl," he raised an eyebrow.

"Who cares?" she asked, barely even glancing at him as she raised her right hand. Sparks of electricity flew from her fingers. "Think you can overlook the fact that I'm a Fairy?"

"I'll humour you," Sting said with a slight smirk.

"Good. Let's be friends, Tiger," [Name] smiled brightly, clenching her fists so that the electricity disappeared.

"Hey Sting! Where are you going this time?" Lector asked, following the boy out of the guildhall.

"Nowhere," he only answered.

"C'mon buddy, you've been going out on free days all by yourself for a year. Are you meeting someone? Is it a girl?"

"It's none of your business. See you," Sting grinned, disappearing down the streets.

"Wah? Hey!" Lector attempted to follow but he had already lost sight of the dragon slayer.

Sting made his way to the edge of town, visably eager to meet with [Name]. After continuing to meet up for a year, he had found himself loosening up around her even more. She was strong and was someone who was unlike anyone he's ever met.

He looked up to her. Perhaps even more than Natsu.

He found her waiting at the corner of one of the streets, watching people walk past her.

She happened to spot him when she turned her head and almost immediately, her eyes lit up. She smiled at him while fast walking over.

"I didn't keep you waiting too long?" Sting asked.

"Nope," she grinned. "I just got here. Don't worry about it."

"Well come on then, I found a good place to eat in the town over," Sting smiled.

"Oh? Are we taking the train?" [Name] teased.

"... It's a relatively short train ride. I can handle it," Sting said with slight hesitation.

"How cute, the little Tiger's acting all tough," [Name] continued to tease, reaching over to pinch his cheeks.

"Don't call me little just because you're older, Granny," Sting rolled his eyes, swatting her hands away.

"Hey! Don't call me that, I'm only a little older," she pouted, punching his arm. But he only laughed, ruffling her hair. "Don't do that, you know you're really annoying sometimes,"

"Says you," Sting retorted as they walked onto the platform. He took her hand as to not lose the girl in the crowd of passengers, pulling her towards the last carriage.

"Woah, your guild has enough money to afford to rent a carriage on the train?" [Name] brought up, looking at the Sabertooth mark on the door. She naturally held onto his hand, walking even closer to him.

"Yeah, it's so that we can get around easier," Sting muttered, glancing away from her when he sat down.

"Oh? It wasn't so that normal passengers won't know about your motion sickness?" [Name] asked, taking a seat beside him and leaning in to peer at his face.

The blond didn't reply as he turned his head away from her again, using a hand to cover the lower part of his face. His fingers didn't cover everything however, as [Name] could spot the red on his cheeks.

"Is something wrong?" she asked with slight worry.

"N-No, I'm fine," he stuttered, already feeling nauceous as the train started to move. She only gave a knowing smile.

"Here, it might make you feel better," the girl offered, moving him so that he laid his head on her lap. "Just don't think about the train alright?"

"Y-Yeah," he made out, closing his eyes and removing his hand.

"Aw, how cute. The Tiger cub's blushing," [Name] teased while brushing her hand through his hair.

"Don't treat me like a child," he growled, but continued to let her play with his hair. It distracted him from the death trap that they rode.

"Sorry, sorry," she apologised half-heartedly. "Say, you said that you wanted to ask me something last time, didn't you?"

"I did,"

"Well? What was it?" she hummed, smiling in anticipation.

"..."

"Hm? You know, its a coincidence. I have something to ask you ask well," she prompted, poking at his cheek.

She knew he was waiting for a more suitable time, perhaps after the stress of the Grand Magic Games. She didn't even need to ask him to know that. It was clear from his behaviour.

"No!" he quickly shot up. "Uh--"

"Just kidding, you can ask me whenever you're ready. It's not like I'm going anywhere. Come on, we're at the stop. I'm getting hungry," she smiled at him gently whilst taking his hand and tugging him up from the seat.

"Thanks," he smiled at her, following along. "You know, you aren't bad for a Fairy,"

"You aren't half bad for a Tiger either," she assured, kissing his cheek before jumping out of the carriage.

Sting blushed slightly before following along, somehow managing to maintain his composure. He took a breath before getting off. Next time for sure.

➳➳➳

However, their next meeting didn't exactly go along as planned. [Name] ended up taking an S-Class quest that took up all of her time for the next few months and became unable to properly meet with Sting. Although they still continued to talk using lacrimas.

She told him that she may just make it back in time for the games, although nothing was set in stone.

The next time they were able to meet was near the end of the second day of the Grand Magic Games.

She had appeared at the bar where Fairy Tail was celebrating, surprising everyone there. She was able to catch up with them all properly and had a proper conversation — argument — with Laxus.

"Jeez, I thought that I would never see you again. Can't believe Gramps let you back in on that technicality," [Name] grinned at Laxus, who only scoffed.

"Here I was hoping that you would've gotten yourself killed," he retorted.

"Someone's as rude as ever," the girl rolled her eyes as she headed towards the front of the guild. "I'm heading back Gramps, I've been traveling for a day. I'm starting to understand why trains are considered 'death traps'."

"Go ahead and rest," Makarov grinned at her, raising his cup.

[Name] only smiled as she left the bar, feeling the cool night air against her skin. She glanced over to Sabertooth, wondering if she should ask Sting to meet up.

But as she walked around, she ran into Happy, who seemed to be in a state of distress.

"Hey buddy, are you alright?" she asked, surprising the exceed.

"[Name]! What are you doing back? Wait know, it doesn't matter, listen Natsu's getting himself into trouble," Happy quickly spoke. [Name] could barely keep up as he explained the details, but was still able to make out the story. Her eyes widened, as electricity cackled lightly around her.

"They went that far?" she whispered darkly, clenching her fists. From what Sting told her, she knew that they were strict, but she never expected that it would be to this extent.

"[Name], you have to stop Natsu before he goes too far," Happy tugged on her clothing.

"I know, it'll be alright," she assured him with a slight smile. "Just wait for us outside and don't say a word to anyone."

"Aye!"

She smiled at him once again before she disappeared. Happy flew into the air, following the streak of lightning that the girl left behind.

[Name] saw explosions in the inn where Sabertooth was staying and she held a feeling of unease when she sensed familiar lightning magic that wasn't meant to be there.

She had to give Natus credit. It was powerful, but not as powerful as the original.

Disappearing from sight once more, she zapped herself inside the inn, positioning herself between Natsu's attack and Sabertooth's Master. Without thinking, she raised her arm so that it took the full blow of his punch.

Dust rose around them and when it became clear again, everyone was shocked at the sudden arrival of [Name]. Sting perhaps was the most shocked. He had thought that she wasn't going to make the games.

"That's enough Natsu," she told him quietly.

"[Name]? Why did you--"

"I said that's enough. What do you think Gramps will say if you get eliminated for attacking another guild?" [Name] asked him, her voice firm. Just as he was about to argue, she cut him off once again. "I know what they did. To tell the truth, I feel the same way."

Only then did Natsu notice the sparks that emmited from the girl's body and the claps of thunder that echoed through the once clear sky. He nodded once before stepping back, but the rage in his eyes was still there.

"Smart move, Fairy," another girl appeared from almost nowhere. The voice made [Name], if possible, become even angrier.

"People like you who resort to dirty tricks and lies disgust me. It's no wonder why this pitiful guild is like this when you're a part of it," [Name] spat out, glaring hatefully at Minerva. The sparks of electricity threatening to attack.

"Careful, you don't want this cat's neck to be snapped do you?" Minerva only smirked back.

"Happy!"

"Sorry Natsu... [Name]..." Happy only cried, wiggling uselessly in Minerva's arms.

[Name] growled as the electricity calmed down and she took a step back. Only then did Minerva let Happy go and he immediately ran into Natsu's arms.

"We're going back Natsu," [Name] ordered, turning away.

"Got it," Natsu nodded, hugging Happy as he stepped out of the mess that he created.

[Name] was about to follow, but she turned around at the last second.

"It wasn't any of my business before, but guilds who kick their comrades and family out don't deserve to be called guilds at all," her voice echoed around the entire hall and she stared directly at Sting. "You've made a grave mistake. A guild like yours is a thousand years to early to challenge us."

She held Sting's gaze before she followed Natsu and Happy without looking back.

"I didn't realise that Fairy Tail had another lightning mage," Orga brought up.

"That was [Name] Dreyar, Makarov's granddaughter. A formidable opponent. Although it seemed that she knew Lady Minerva," Rufus answered, glancing in Minerva's direction.

"We had a slight disagreement regarding our separate methods on a job that we happened to both have. That is all," the girl only smirked, catching sight of Sting leaving the hall.

The White Dragon Slayer hurried out of the guild, managing to catch up to [Name]. He caught her arm, making her look up at him in surprise.

"Shouldn't you be back in the guild?" she questioned as Sting pulled her into an alleyway.

"Are you crazy? Why did you follow Natsu into the guild? It could've gotten you killed!"

"I would've been fine. A few Tigers can't hurt me," [Name] assured him, not liking the fact that he was looking down on her.

"Lady Minerva or the Master could have killed you. It's you against Sabertooth, the number one guild. You can't have possibly —,"

"I can handle myself!" she repeated, her previous anger boiling up again. An jolt of electricity suddenly shot through Sting from his hand that was still holding her wrist. Her eyes went wide upon realising this and she shrank away from him. "You... You should probably stay away. My body can barely handle my magic as it is. When I get mad, it tends to go out of control."

"I'll live," Sting muttered, closing the distance between them. "Sorry, I know you're strong and all, but Lady Minerva's on another level. I'm worried what she'll do to you if you get on her bad side."

"... I'll show you tomorrow. I don't need you to protect me," [Name] reassured him with a slight smile.

Despite the fact that she was still mad, she didn't bring up anymore insults about his guild knowing that it would only turn into an argument. It seemed that Sting felt the same way. It didn't matter if she was a Fairy, he placed her on a pedastal above them all, convincing himself that she was so good that she wasn't a part of the them.

It was a silent agreement between them that neither will ever bring up their guilds in conversation.

"Nah, I'll always be looking out for you," he smiled back, bringing her in for a hug. She hugged him back, burying her face into his chest.

They stayed like that for a while before she pulled away.

"I'll see you at the games then," she said gently.

"Yeah... Hey, after all this ends. I need to ask you something,"

"I'll be waiting then," she grinned, jumping up to hug him again before leaving. Sting watched her leave before heading in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Minerva smirked down at the sight before her before leaving as well. She headed back to the inn, waiting in the hall for Sting to return with a cruel smile...

The next day started off well for Fairy Tail, well for the A team at least. In Pandemonium, Erza had 'broken' the game by being the sole competitor for the 100 monster and thus received first place. People started cheering for Fairy Tail after witnessing this spectacular event but little did they know that the B team had something up their sleeves as well.

[Name] had replaced Mystogan — Jellal — for the third day and had been chosen to compete in that day's games.

She stood with everyone else, witnessing Jura's extraordinary number on the Magic Power Finder, though she wasn't the slightest bit intimidated.

"And finally we have our last challenger, Fairy Tail B's [Name] Dreyar. It must be tough to follow up Jura, let's see her try her best,"

"I don't normally settle for anything but first place, though I suppose second place is fine if its Erza," the girl mumbled underneath her breath as she walked past Jura.

"Bold of you to assume that you'll best my score, granddaughter of Makarov," Jura said.

"Wizard Saint or not, it doesn't matter to me. Time to move aside old man," [Name] said with a confident smirk as she concernrated her magic energy. "I'll show you all what lightning magic is meant to look like."

In almost no time, the skies darkened as thunder clapped and lightning gathered over the arena. The audience all looked up in wonder, not believing that a single mage could emit such a powerful aura.

[Name], who had been murmuring a spell underneath her breath, stopped out of nowhere and her eyes started to glow.

From Sabertooth's balcony, Sting watched in amazement. He could feel his admiration for her grow even more. But at the same time, he was very aware of Minerva's eyes on him and refused to show it.

"Divine Punishment; Thor's Wrath," she finally chanted, her voice barely a whisper over the noise of the thunder.

As soon as she spoke those words, the lightning all came crashing down onto the MPF. Relentlessly, they attacked and attacked, never seeming to end until she dragged two fingers across the air in a diagonal motion.

When the dust cleared, there was nothing left of the machine, only the digits 9999 remained as evidence of it being there.

She searched for Sting from the floor and upon meeting his eyes, she smiled, raising an eyebrow as though asking if he saw her.

He only sent a small smile back, nodding ever so slightly. This brightened her spirits as she skipped back, not noticing the way his smile dropped.

➳➳➳

The last half of the games didn't go very well for Sting and [Name] either. On the night of the third day, he didn't answer any of her lacrima calls despite the fact that it was usually him who called first.

He refused to meet her eye during the fourth day, and she in turn, shrank away. Although she tried to smile at him, he only glanced past her as though she wasn't there.

[Name] frowned at this everytime, feeling a pain in her heart whenever he ignored her. She tried to go talk to him, but he would never be alone.

"Did I do something wrong?" she wondered aloud the night before the final day.

"What is it?" Laxus asked from his bed.

"Nothing that you would know," [Name] retorted, sticking her tongue out.

"Is it a boy?" Mira suddenly perked up, moving to sit on [Name]'s bed.

"..."

"It is!" she giggled leaning close to her. "Is it another competitor? From which guild?"

"It doesn't matter anyway," [Name] muttered, glancing away as she picked at the bed sheets. "Besides, we have to save Lucy and win the Games first. Family comes first."

"I see, then you'll have to introduce him to us after the games. Everything will sort itself out so don't worry," Mira smiled, patting the girl's head before leaving.

"Yeah, I'll try," [Name] smiled back, but it dropped when she saw Laxus glaring at her. "What? I'm not allowed to get a boyfriend now?"

The Lightning Dragon Slayer only scoffed and turned the other way.

The final day of the Grand Magic Games — was as we all know — chaotic to say the least. At the start of the games, there was not a single person who could've predicted that Fairy Tail would rise to the top once more.

And yet, in the battle royale, all five of them stood victorious, the cheers of their family and audience deafening the entire arena. But to them, it was no time to rejoice just yet.

"No one has seen the signal flare?" Erza asked to confirm, looking in the direction of the castle.

"I didn't see anything,"

"No,"

Concerned looks were shared between them as they started to dicuss what could've possibly happened.

"Um, say,"

All five heads snapped towards Sting when he spoke up out of nowhere.

"I was wondering where [Name] went? I just haven't seen her in the stands..."

None of them said a word and they all only exchanged a glance. Laxus walked forwards, almost glaring at him.

"Why do you want to know?" he nearly snarled, making Sting's face go white as he shrank back slightly. "You her boyfriend?"

"Juvia thinks that Laxus is scaring Sting," Juvia brought up. "Juvia also thinks that [Name] wouldn't appreciate Laxus doing this."

Laxus only scoffed, backing down but looking at Sting with what could only be described as a 'nasty look in his eye'.

➳➳➳

Several days after the Eclispe Door opened and the havoc that followed, there was a ball held for all the wizards who participated in the fight with dragons.

It just so happened that both Dreyar siblings had to be threatened and forced by Makarov to attend the ball.

That's what lead to [Name] standing in the corner of the room, leaning her back on the pillars as she observed the people around her.

She thought back to what happened with Sting during the portion of the games where he ignored her. Now that they weren't in danger, it's never left her mind.

She played around with the ballgown that Mira had picked out for her, not noticing the boy who was searching the entire room for her.

"Who are you looking for Sting?" Lector asked from beside Sting.

"A certain someone. I caught her scent but I can't see her," Sting murmured as he walked around with his eyes peeled. She stood out to him, so why couldn't he find her?

"Oh, is it the Fairy that Lady Minerva threatened to harm?" Lector questioned, floating up to look for her as well.

"You don't have to help me look, I'll find her by myself,"

"If you're so sure, I'm going with Rogue then," Lector grinned, flying away.

Sting then walked around, asking the Fairy Tail members if they had seen her. None of them knew a thing until he reached Mira.

Mira nearly squealed when he asked her, immediately guessing that he was the boyfriend [Name] had complained about. She had happily pushed him to the corner where [Name] had disappeared to before reminding him to treat her right.

Sting thanked the white haired girl before speeding up his pace. He had to stop himself from running towards the girl upon spotting her. The boy took a breath before he walked forwards.

Upon hearing footsteps coming closer, [Name] looked up slightly from her dress. But she didn't think that it would be Sting.

"Hey, I'm sorry about being so cold," Sting began, making her eyes grow wide.

Slowly, her eyes raised and they finally met his. Her heart started pounding wildly in her chest as she smiled at the sight of him, jumping at the chance to hug him. Despite the fact that he was caught off guard, he secured his arms around her waist with ease.

"It's okay," she mumbled into his shoulder, not letting go. "I just thought that it was something I did."

"I just needed assurance that you would be safe," Sting reassured, holding onto her tightly. "I'm sorry if I hurt you."

"It's alright. I'm just really glad that you don't hate me!" she pulled back, smiling brightly.

"I could never," he smiled back at her. An idea suddenly popped into his head and he scratched the back of his head.

"What are you nervous about?" [Name] asked, watching his extended hand with confusion.

"It's a bit late and all, but would you do the honour of properly attending the ball with me? As... As my girlfriend?" Sting asked her, making her face light up even more.

"Of course," she said with no hesitation, placing her hand in his and dragging him along. "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity so let's go have some fun. Unless... Tigers don't have fun?"

"Jeez Fairy, get a hold of yourself," Sting retorted, slowing her down so that she didn't crash into anyone.
