In one moment, you believe you're in a beautiful, floating dream with sunshine and rainbows for what seems like an eternity. You feel strong and invincible as if nothing could ever hurt you.
Next, you're living in the nightmare of your own personal hell in a blink of an eye. You feel weak and vulnerable as if everything could send you tumbling down a black hole filled with pain.
Humans are fragile, and should come with one simple instruction:
HANDLE WITH CARE.
But, what if handling them with care isn't enough? What if endless praise and affection wasn't the solution?
What if it was death?
The loud clank of his boots echoed through the vacant hallways, getting closer with each step he took.

My heart pounded against my chest, and my breathing was loud. Too loud.
Covering up my mouth with my hand, I forced myself to breathe through my nose, no matter how much it felt like I was suffocating.
This closet was small. And dark.
I needed out.
The sound of his boots stopped.
Do I stay here and live another day, or walk out and meet death head-on?
The latter seemed the most appealing.
Before I could move, your hand grabbed onto my shoulder.
