"Let's go home meleth nin." Legolas urged as he pulled Alannah to her feet. He contained his anger for her sake as he sensed Tauriel's presence behind him. Alannah glared at him through her tears when she saw Tauriel hesitantly walk up behind him.

"My lord and lady, I'm sorry. Please forgive me for my foolish behavior." Tauriel shakily voiced. The moment Tauriel touched her lips to Legolas's, she could feel how everything she had said and done was wrong and not a reflection of her true feelings. The only image that came to her mind was Kili, and by acting on her heartbreak, she had caused great pain to two people she cared for greatly.

Alannah listened as Legolas explained telepathically what happened in the clearing, ensuring his undying fidelity and love to her and only her. She nodded her head slightly before walking up to Tauriel and struck her across the cheek. The smack could be heard throughout the woods as it echoed back to them. Legolas was quick to grab Alannah before she could continue the assault and pulled her in the direction of their home.

"I'm sorry." Tauriel sobbed as she held her throbbing cheek. Legolas ignored her as she spoke, too angry to respond to her.

Once he and Alannah walked inside their bedroom, Legolas pulled Alannah down to sit with him on the bed.

"I don't understand why Tauriel would do what she did. It is not the way of the elves to ever do such a thing. Know that I had no part in it meleth nin." Legolas calmly explained as he held her hand in his lap. Alannah pulled her hand away to wipe the tears away from her puffy eyes.

"I thought Tauriel was my mellon, Legolas. I feel betrayed by her actions. But I feel betrayed by you also." Alannah answered calmly. Legolas shook his head as he stood.

"I had no part in it. I don't know how I can make you believe that. My heart is yours, our soul is one." Legolas answered desperately. Alannah shook her head as she pulled the bag of pipe weed Gandalf had given her to her lap. She held the drawstrings between her fingers and delicately let them pass through them.

"You knew Gandalf was leaving." She stated plainly. "And you didn't tell me, not even a warning." Legolas could feel the pain in her heart as he sat back down beside her.

"I did. I'm sorry I did not tell you. He asked that he be the one to tell you, only the two of you. That is why I am so angry that you came home to that display tonight." Legolas said quietly. "My intention was to be the first person you saw as you came into the clearing. I wanted to be here t comfort you." Alannah sighed as Legolas pulled her into his chest. She cried for most of the night until she finally fell asleep, exhausted from all the emotional events from the day. Legolas pulled the blankets over her and walked down the hall and stood in front of Oryn's bedroom door. He opened it a crack and peered at their son as he slept peacefully, unaware of all that had happened since he fell asleep.

Legolas pondered on what he should do about Tauriel until the early morning. Once the sun had risen, he stepped out of the treehouse and began to walk to her quarters, sorrowful that he was intent on banishing her from the elven colony in Ithilien as well as their former home in the Woodland Realm. He cared for Tauriel greatly as a friend, but as he watched his wife and son sleeping throughout the night he knew where his heart as well as his priorities lie.

"My lord Legolas." One of the elven guards addressed him as he bowed. "Tauriel left last night. She asked me to tell you to forgive her for her actions and that she has left Ithilien. She also added that she is not returning to the woodland realm and wishes for no one to search for her." The guard stated as he delivered the message. Legolas nodded his head, knowing Tauriel to be wise regardless that her actions the previous night suggesting otherwise.

"Thank you. Did she say give any hint as to where she was going?" Legolas asked, hating that their friendship ended this way. The guard shook his head before Legolas retreated to the treehouse. He knew her heart was in the right place and always dutiful to the crown, she would not remain where she caused so much pain. Legolas felt peace about the situation when he saw Oryn walk out of the front door with Alannah, letting go of her hand and running into his arms.

*50 years later*

"Have you considered it yet?" Legolas asked as he nudged Alannah awake. The sun showered in through the large window onto the bed their bed as they lay close together. She smiled while her eyes remained closed, always happy to wake up to him every day.

"I've considered it." She mumbled as she nestled her face into his long blonde hair. Legolas kissed her bare shoulder, sliding the crisp bedsheet off her bare body.

"Allow me to rephrase meleth nin." Legolas purred as he placed gentle kisses along her collarbone. "Will you do me the great honor of bearing another child with me?"

Alannah gasped as his hand disappeared between her thighs and softly began to caress her warmth. A guttural moan escaped his lips when he discovered she was already wet for him and arching her hips upwards towards his hand. He glanced at her as a smirk grew on his lips while enjoyed watching her squirm beneath his touch.

"Is that a yes?" Legolas asked as he slowed his fingers around her clit. Alannah pulled his hand from between her thighs and laced her fingers with his. Her eyes searched his youthful face, as ageless as it was when they first met so long ago.

"Of course, it's a yes." Alannah whispered with a playfully mischievous gleam in her eye. Legolas could barely contain his excitement as he settled himself between her legs and pushed himself inside of her. Quickly they became lost in their love making as their moans and whispers of affection filled the room.

A knock on their bedroom door was ignored as they rocked in each other's arms. They continued, only for seconds later the knock came again only this time louder and more urgent. Legolas buried his head into Alannah's shoulder as he caught his breath, frustrated that they were being interrupted in their most intimate of moments.

"Who could it be?" Alannah whispered as Legolas rolled off the bed and pulled on a long silver robe. He shook his head as he helped Alannah into her own robe, smoothing down her tousled hair in the process.

"Whomever it is, they will answer as to why they felt it necessary to disturb us in our private quarters." Legolas muttered as he flung open the bedroom door.

"I pray I am not disturbing you, my old friends." Aragorn snickered as he stood in the doorway. Legolas crossed his arms as he looked back at Alannah then back at him.

"I would never say the King of Gondor would be disturbing us, if it was perhaps a couple hours from now." Legolas quipped. The two stared at the other until they couldn't hold back their laughter anymore and embraced one another. Their houses remained close throughout the years, always visiting the other as often as they could.

"I would not have come so early this morning if it wasn't of much importance. Take your time in readying yourselves, but may I speak to the both of you downstairs?" Aragorn asked now with a much more serious tone. Legolas nodded before closing the bedroom door and began to dress. Alannah sat on the bed, clinging her robe tightly to her chest. Something felt uneasy in her spirit about this visit from Aragorn, enough to cement her to where she sat.

~

"No." Alannah stated firmly as they sat in a circle in the tree houses elaborate dining hall. Oryn stood tall beside his father, bearing a close resemblance to Legolas since he had come of age in his adulthood. Legolas and Aragorn exchanged a look before Legolas walked over to Alannah.

"Alannah, I understand why you don't want us to fight. However, Aragorn is our friend and his age is showing. We cannot let him stand in battle alone." Legolas whispered, barely bringing his voice loud enough for anyone to hear. Aragorn kept his head down as did Oryn, knowing not to interrupt his parents during such a tense conversation. Legolas softly stroked her cheek with the back of his hand, hoping to ease her worried mind.

"I don't want anything to happen to you, or Oryn." Alannah responded silently, knowing Legolas could hear her thoughts. Legolas nodded his head before kissing her lips softly.

"I know. I'll keep both of us safe. It's nothing like the war of the ring. Let me and our son go. You have nothing to fear. We will be back before you know it." Legolas responded. Alannah looked at him tensely, realizing he meant to leave her in Ithilien.

"I'm going Legolas. I cannot allow our family and guard to leave while I sat behind." Alannah scolded. The room remained silent during their telepathic conversation, while the tensions in the air rose.

"Hervess nin, you must stay. We rule over the elves here and they must have you to lead them in my absence." Legolas responded. Alannah frowned as she looked at their son. He was tall and strong, and just as good a warrior as his father. She fiddled with the tie to her silver robe, knowing every word Legolas said was true and there was no changing his mind.

"Mother, I will make you proud." Oryn said as he walked over to her and kissed her cheek softly. "Ada and I will fight by Aragorn's side just as you did during that great war."

Alannah smiled as she gripped her son's hand in hers before standing and walking to stand in front of Aragorn. He was old when they had met but now his hair had much more silver than brown woven through it, and the wrinkles at the sides of his eyes had deepened.

"This is the final battle, and it will be won?" Alannah asked, her voice stern. Aragorn nodded his head as he stood and bowed to her.

"Yes. You have my word your family will be returned to you in less than three days. Then the west will finally be at peace." Aragorn promised as he stood back up. Alannah hugged him tightly, feeling his strength was still within his muscles as she tightened her embrace. She buried her lips close to his ear, whispering low enough that Legolas nor Oryn could hear.

"I hold you to your word, King of Gondor."
