(Y/N)'s POV
Halloween has arrived. Everyone was down to get dressed in costume, have a Halloween theme party and go trick or treating to get candy for the kids who couldn't, because why would Overwatch agents get candy for themselves?
I wasn't down with trick or treating because it has been a long time since the last time I asked for candy. But it'll be fine, Hana will be with me for the entire night. Now as for costumes, Hana is gonna dress up as a black cat while I had something spooky in mind.
I had the UNSC send me a special crate containing my costume which I hid in the closet in our shared room. Hana is currently helping with the Halloween decor while I did my preparation, once finished I go and find her. When I found her she was helping Lúcio setup the DJ post by adding Halloween things to it outside.
(Y/N): "You guys need a Spartan to help you guys."
Lúcio: "Hana may need some help moving those speakers."
Hana: "No I got this!" She struggles to lift it.
You lift it up with ease and Hana gives you a look.
(Y/N): "What? I came to help."
Hana gives you a peck on the lips.
Hana: "Did you get your costume ready?"
(Y/N): "Yep."
Hana: "Well let's get changed then."
We hold hands on the way back to our room. She heads to the bathroom to get changed while I went to the closet and pulled out the special crate. Once out of the closet I open the crate via thumbprint and behold the Haunted Helmet rested inside of it.
The Haunted Helmet is just a variant of the Pilot helmet that has a clear visor which shows a living skull inside of it, not painted on the visor but inside of it. When people look at it, it looks like you don't have a head anymore, just the skull of it. How it does this is just an optical illusion placed on the visor.
I have no idea what was inside of the head of the guy who propose this idea but it looks cool as hell. I put on the helmet as well as the matching armor that came with it and checked a mirror to make sure the illusion was working.
(Y/N): "Now I'm ready to spook some people."
I pose for a bit in front of the mirror.
(Y/N): "I look even scarier than that Reaper guy."
I hear the bathroom door open and out came Hana in her blackcat costume. She plays around with her blonde hair wig before looking at me.
Hana: "How do I- *SCREAM*!" She took a step back but tripped on her her own feet resulting in her falling to the ground.
I grabbed onto her hand and pulled her back onto her feet before she hit the ground.
(Y/N): "WHAT!?" I said sarcastically in a panic tone.
Hana: "YOUR YOUR HEAD! WHAT HAPPEN?!"
(Y/N): "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"
Hana: "LOOK!" She grabbed my hand and pulled me in front of the mirror.
(Y/N): "Oh, that's what you mean."
Hana: "WE NEED TO SEE MERCY!" She started to panic.
She was about to leave the door until I grabbed her hand. She looked back at me and saw me take off the helmet to reveal my face again.
(Y/N): "Pretty convincing? Isn't it."
Hana throws a soft playful punch at my chest. Hopefully she didn't hurt her knuckles doing that.
Hana: "THAT'S NOT FUNNY (Y/N)!"
(Y/N): "It is kinda."
Hana then crossed her arm and had a grumpy expression on her face. I play with her hair for a bit until she calm downed.
(Y/N): "You look very cute in that."
Hana: "Thanks, you look very spooky."
(Y/N): "Thanks." I put on the helmet on again.
Hana: "How does it do that."
(Y/N): "Optical illusion."
Before we leave for the party Hana takes a selfie with the two of us and posted it on social media. The party just started so we made our way outside to where the party was being held. When we got there Lúcio was blasting the music, Genji was in a pumpkin carving contest, Lena was dancing and many more. Me and Hana were gonna put on a show on the sky.
Hana got in her mech and launched some fireworks which replaced her micro missiles and I shot my Spartan Laser in the sky to put on a laser firework show. After my Spartan Laser needed a cool down I put it away and joined the fun. Hana joined in later and was taking pictures and filming the party.
It was time to trick or treat. We headed to the city and enter the housing part of town.
(Y/N): "You ready."
Hana: "Yep, let's go."
She grabbed my hand and pulled me to the nearest house. We went from house to house getting candy until our bags were full. Hana struggle to carry the weight of the bag so I took it.
(Y/N): "This should be enough, ready to go home?"
Hana: "Yeah but my legs hurt, can you carry me back?"
I look at her.
Hana: "Pleaseeeeeee."
I turn around and knee down to allow Hana to get on my back. When she got on me I raise back up again and started walking her back piggy back riding her.
Hana: "MEKA activated."
I made so robot booting up sounds.
Hana: "GO FASTER!" She repeatedly tap on my helmet making me run.
We blasted through some people and family's until we reached the Warthog.
Hana: "PUMA!"
I looked up at Hana and she looks back down at me.
(Y/N): "Do we have to do this again? It's called a M12LRV Warthog."
Hana: "But it looks like a PUMA!"
I look up to see Hana with a simile and just stared at her for awhile.
Hana: "I hate it when I can't tell your expression through that helmet."
(Y/N): "What do you mean? You can see right through the visor on this helmet."
Hana: "I just see a dead looking skull."
There was silents for abit, then I dropped Hana on her feet. I turn to look at her. She then went on her tippy toes and gave my visor a quick peck on it.
Hana: "You know that I still love you."
(Y/N): "Wish I can kiss you through this helmet right now." I go to take off my helmet only to be stopped by Hana.
Hana: "Save that for later. We got to give the children their candy."
We stop by multiple hospital to donate some candy for the sick children who couldn't but we got to keep most of it due to other Overwatch agent donating their candy.
When we got back to base the party was still raging on. Lúcio was blasting the remix of spooky scary skeleton, Hanzo was shooting fireworks arrows in the sky and Jack Morrison even started to dance. Hana pulls me into the crowd and we rejoined the fun.
