jack sighed heavily.
sober.
the word floated through his head.
even 15 years later he hated the word.
he hated the word that saved his life. almost like he'd hated the girl who saved his life. but, with time he grew to like her. and he assumed with time he would grow to like the word.
but no such luck.
he stood up on the barrier that wrapped around the top of the hospital building. he knew this was a bad decision but he didn't care.
he was supposed to have his life together by now. he shouldn't be falling apart again.
he'd always wanted to know what it was like to fly. and he figured it out before he hit the ground. they said he died before he made contact with the sidewalk.
