~RENE'S POV~
"Come on Rene get out of bed to enjoy your last day here."
"Ok" I got out of bed and got ready.
1 hour later...
"Rene what's wrong you look sad?"
Lillian scooted over to the edge of her seat.
"Today is my last day I'm leaving for a while. But ill be back I promise."
A tear fell from my eye. "No you can't go we just started senior year."
"I know but I have a lot of family issues going on now. it's nothing to worry about." we continued talking all the way to school.
Cameron ran up to me as I walked into the cafeteria.
"Rene! I figured it out!___" he stopped after he looked at my face which was probably red and puffy from crying so much. "what's wrong?"
"Today is my last day. I'm going to live with my grandma. my parents don't want me to talk to you ever again."
"What did I do?!"
"They think I'm convincing you into buying our house out."
"Well ill do it! you won't have to pay any__"
"STOP! STOP!" he got closer to me but I pushed him back causing everyone to stare at us. "stop buying stuff. just stop for once okay? I know I've only know you for like not even a week but you really need to stop."
I took off the necklace and handed it to him.
"I'm keeping the gummy bears." he smiled a little. "No, keep this please." he tried to hand it back to me." No I can't...please keep it. It's something to remember me by."
"Well how long are you gonna be gone?" we sat down at the table.
"I don't know probably until your dad calls my stepdad with a decent price for a house."
"FREE!"
"NO! Then my parents are really gonna thing that I convinced you. They hate that even if they do it all the time."
"We've done it before...my dad won't mind." He's totally lying. His voice is sounding quite weird.
"You're lying."
"How can you tell?"
"Your voice sounds weird." we both laughed and continued talking about random stuff .
"So are you gonna miss me?" he asked as the bell rung for us to go to first period.
" Well yeah I'm gonna miss everyone. I'm gonna try to get all if my assignments for the rest of the year ok?" he nodded as I walked up to Mr. Smith asking him for the rest of the class work for the year.
"You know... you can graduate early if you complete all of this right."
"Yes,sir... But I would like to graduate with the rest of my class ..."
"You're a good kid I'm glad I had the opportunity to teach you for three days..."
I went to my seat and started looking at the massive amounts of work I had for calculus.
AFTER SCHOOL...
"jeez you have to do all of that?"
Cameron stopped me just as I was about to get on the bus.
"Yeah this is every class and a few packets about the ACT test. I'm leaving now... bye cameron. See you in a... I don't know a few months a guess."
"Bye."
~CAMERON'S POV~
I snuck the necklace back in her book bag as she got on the bus.
She's gonna hate me but, it was for her not me.
I ran to my truck and drove home.
"Dad?!" I yelled as I walked into his office.
"What?!"
"Call Rene's parents...please?!"
He picked up the phone. "wait who?"
I'm gonna choke him...
"You know the people that were here the other day that WALKED OUT before we could tell them about the mistake."
"Oh yeah thats what her name is, Rene?
Pretty strange name for someone that pretty." I felt my face turn red from anger.
"Just call them please?!"
I stomped out of his office and went to my mom who was in the kitchen.
"Why is your face red sweetie are you catching a fever?!" she put her hand on my forehead as I sat down at the bar thing.
"I'm fine ma just mad at your husband."
"What did he do this time?" she sighed.
"He said Rene's name was weird... She's leaving you know? Her parents are making her stay with her grandma until the house is paid off..."
I grabbed an apple and bit into it not caring about the dust on it.
"Cameron?" her voice was soft she only used that voice when it was something important.
"Yes?"
"You're in love."
"No I'm not!" she smiled.
"Your eyes say it all."
"I'm not in love I can't fall in love... not after what happened the last time..."
The last girlfriend I had stole everything from me. EVERYTHING! My money, virginity ( like does that even matter), and my dog. Yes my dog!
"Sweetie you can't let that stop you from falling in love again... You have to move on."
I bit into my apple again.
"I know, but it's just so hard ma. Its hard to move on. See... you and dad have been married for what? 26 years now." she nodded.
" Talk to your sister..." with that said she left me alone to think.
I'm not in love with Rene... she's just so beautiful and perfect. But I'm not in love.
We can't be together... but I want us to be together. Aghhhhhhhhh I need to call my sister...
I pulled out my phone and called her.
"Hey Katie what's up."
"Hey cameron it's nice to hear from you... I actually just landed in Italy a few hours ago... grandpa is getting better. We went for a walk earlier. It was nice you know? So how's my little brother doing?"
"I'm great. I need your help." she sighed.
"I don't have any money cameron ask dad."
" I don't need money I basically own part of the business."
Maybe if you weren't gone so much you would know that...
"What do you need?"
"I think I'm in love...with a girl I've only known for 3 days."she laughed into the phone.
"You?! in love?! when did that happen. From my knowledge girls were falling for you... but back to reality. You know cameron... love at first sight is real. It doesn't happen to everyone but a few lucky people. Go for it. If you think you're ready to do that then do it."
"Thanks sis."
"You're sooooooo welcome. Call me back when you ask her. Bye, love you, stay safe."
"Bye."
I hung up and sat the phone on the counter.
~RENE'S POV~
I packed my last bag and stared at my empty room in silence. " i'll be back room don't worry." I said to myself as I closed the door and carried my stuff outside.
THE NEXT DAY...
My alarm woke me up at 4:50. "oh god the bus comes in an hour and I haven't unpacked. I got out of bed and raced to get dressed all while looking at my schedule and curriculum for school.
" Hey grandma! I'm leaving see you after school!" I ran to the end of the road to grab the newspaper for my grandma and bring it ALL the way back down so she wouldn't fall or anything.
"CRAP!!!!!!!!" the bus stopped at the road and waited for me. I'm guessing my stuff was a dead giveaway to stop.
I ran to the end again grabbed my stuff of the ground and got on the bus sitting in the second seat.
2 hours later...
It's so nice to be the new kid in school. Its fun to have papers thrown at you and people talking behind your back.
"Nixon?!" the teacher called out.
"Yes sir?" I stood up and walked to his desk.
"See me after class... I'd like to speak with you for a few minutes." I nodded and walked back to my desk.
50 minutes later...
"Yes?" I asked. "I'm looking at your records from your old school and it says that your a straight A student and that you've been that way ever since you started high school."
I nodded. "yes... is their a problem?"
"No I'm just wondering how are you gonna keep that up... when your working for TWO schools?"
"Ummmmm work hard I guess... It's a lot of work but I'm willing to do it so I can know more before I graduate."
I walked out of his classroom not saying another word.
NEXT CLASS...

I dug into my book bag more finally managing to pull it out.
I'm seriously gonna choke him.
"Is their a problem ms. Nixon?" the teacher asked. " No I'm fine sorry."
